Basecamp Helgeland - a pearl on the Helgeland coast

Karianne og VidarRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Awesome place! We were three families who had a great time for a weekend at Basecamp Helgeland. Several nephews had been to camp school here, so we were a little excited about what met us…… A fantastic nice host, the place had little camp school burden. Nice rooms and good beds for big and small. The small gymnasium between living/dining room and kitchen was perfect activity place for everyone. We had a great time with fishing, mountain hiking, volleyball, floorball, games and beautiful nature, and would love to come back! This should have been more advertised for. Many we know in the immediate area had not heard of the place, and was wondering if this was the place the kids had been to camp school…. Perfect place for celebrating round days with friends, family gatherings, and more.

In the middle of Saltfjellet.

A lovely and unique experience. There are plenty of candles available as light. There was enough firewood ready for heating. We arrived in the evening and were immediately greeted with reindeer and aurora. We had -2°C and 7cm of snow. The house was very cool but could be heated up quite quickly with the oven. Pots are available for the stoves to heat water over it. To say goodbye, there were reindeer again and even three sea eagles sitting next to the road in the snow. Thanks for the great experience 👍🏻

Panorama hytte

Leif ArneRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Booked 2 days in a panoramic cabin as through the system of Airbnb. But then Mail from the host got rune if the panoramic cabin was only available for 1 day..? But as a plaster on the wound, we could be denied the panorama igloo. Have stayed at several Glamping igloos in the past. But this is by far the craziest I've EVER experienced! The Igloo is inaccessible with a muddy and slippery path. The railing that was supposed to be like a fuse against a steep laugh had fallen down. There was no lighting on the path to the cabin. And with only the light from the mobile, we felt unsafe. No lighting outside the igloo or inside the igloo. Only two tea lights. A wood-burning stove was installed with wet wood that was hard to get a fire. The Igloo was drafty and miserably maintained. Drip from the roof when it rained. Poor garbage sorting. Long way to toilets, longer than stated, without lit and secure path Says this all about this place! Steer far away. And don't bring your ants/ incense into the igloo. Then you will be fined 2500kr!
