Family-friendly holiday rentals in Rabo de Peixe

I stayed at this farm airbnb with my girlfriend and we felt so lucky to have picked this place to stay. The airbnb was charming and quaint, and we felt super cozy. Paulo and Inés even provided us with a bottle of wine, some snacks and fresh herbs from the farm as a gift for our stay. Paulo gave us an in depth tour when we arrived, and they were super flexible with our arrival time. The restaurant located on the farm was exquisite, and we loved each of the six courses, or "moments," of the dinner. The staff was extremely well mannered, informative, and pleasant to be around. Also, being able to enjoy the property and walk around the farm freely is worth staying here alone. The pool and the hot tub were clean, and the farm dog was so joyful. I would stay here many more times. This airbnb alone almost makes it worth a trip to São Miguel. Lastly, the airbnb was squeaky clean, and there were even space heaters for the colder days (we were there in November). Shoutout to Paulo and Inés!

My family and I stayed for a week, they left and then friends joined me for a week - so 2 weeks in all. The pool was cool (it was january) but some did try. The hot tub was fabulous and was enjoyed by everyone. The house is spacious and perfectly clean and tidy with good supplies. The owners and the cleaning service were very helpful and responsive to any messages which was appreciated. The island is wonderful and we loved everywhere we visited.

Really nice place to stay, we've enjoyed everyday there. Helder was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The place was as decribed and clean. Considering going back at the same place in the future.

Loved the place! It’s so beautiful decorated, i recommend it especially for people who appreciate good interior design and architecture, as Victor himself put a lot of care and thought into this house as he is also passionate about architecture. We found everything we needed in the house and we especially enjoyed the fact that you can sleep with the window open at night as there are no insects or any kind of mosquitoes, even though you’re in a garden. We also loved watching a movie from the outdoor bathtub. The house is very well located, next to a good restaurant - Quinta do Sabores and a supermarket.

Great quiet place to stay on Sao Miguel! The place is very spacious, and there is lots of room to hang out or sit outside and enjoy the weather and the sounds of the ocean. You are within a 1 minute walk of ocean views. The only difficult we had was getting our 9-passenger van into the small parking area, but we ended up just parking on the street just down from the house with no issues. I would highly recommend as a quiet place to stay!

Beautiful and unique Villa in a peaceful setting minutes from Furnas center . Easy walk to Furnas Lake . More like an upscale eco resort with hotel amenities with than an airbnb . So glad we stayed here rather than at the 4 star hotels in town.

We had a wonderful week in Sao Miguel, which contributed in particular to Max's wonderful accommodation and special hospitality. The house is traditional and very lovingly designed, the location right by the sea and natural pools in the sea is outstanding. The views from the various terraces and a viewpoint only accessible from the property are outstanding. Max responded to all requests in no time and extremely helpful. Overall, we can fully recommend this place.

The accommodation is absolutely perfect. large bedrooms, a most pleasant living/kitchen, a spacious exterior. the house is impeccably clean, perfectly equipped and ideally located, 2 minutes walk from the beach and surf breaks and stunning ocean views. for hikers, a splendid path is nearby. Andres is a thoughtful host. Go there without so much as a second thought!

Eleni is an unbelievable host and her loft was absolutely perfect for an anniversary getaway. The property is magical, right on the ocean with a fantastic view. Although Eleni lives in the house below we felt like we had the property to ourselves all week. The location is also ideal, with a quick walk to the supermarket, various restaurants and downtown Villa Franca do Campo. This was hands down one of the best Airbnb experiences I have had, and I think a lot of that is down to the environment Eleni creates. The recommendations she gives in a message after you book, her knowledge of the island and even the snacks she leaves for you when you arrive. You really feel like you are being hosted by a professional. I cannot recommend this property and Eleni more highly. We will be back!

Our stay at this place was just perfect. From the moment we booked, the hosts stood out for their kindness, impeccable communication, and willingness to help us at all times. The place was absolutely impeccable in terms of cleanliness, with all the details taken care of to the fullest. The decor was cozy, ideal for resting and enjoying. Also, the location was great, with easy access to everything we needed. We especially highlight the attention of the hosts. We were greeted with a warm welcome and made sure we didn't lack anything during our stay, giving us local recommendations. His hospitality made us feel like home. We definitely recommend this place 100%. If you're looking for an unparalleled experience, this is the site.

Easy check in, great sea view. The heating was not always sufficient on cold days in February. We had to put some space to make room for our personal belongings.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our week-long stay at Sven's comfortable home, which is spacious and quiet. The beds were super comfortable and the towels and linens high quality. Others mentioned the sharp knives and well-stocked kitchen, which is the best of any of our airbnb stays. We loved taking hikes at Cascata do Limbo, to the semi- private beach and around Sao Miguel. Sven has very good restaurant recommendations and the nearby one in Sao Bras was one of our a favorites. Sven graciously welcomed us with flowers, fruit, and wine. Cards and games are available for rainy days, though the view is spectacular rain or shine. What a gem--we will definitely choose Sven's home if we return to the Azores!

The house is amazing! Super clean, well decorated and very comfortable. It has everything it takes for a pleasant and quiet stay. The location is excellent, in a quiet place, but close to everything essential. The hosts were very attentive and always available to help. I recommend without hesitation and hope to come back soon!

Very nice local house, has everything necessary inside. Host was very friendly and gave lots of local recommendations. House is located in quite neighbourhood with some beautiful views. Perfect if you travel by car, because makes good staring point to explore eastern part of the island.

Very nice facility in a top location. There was a spontaneous problem with the booked accommodation, but Maria just accommodated us in a larger apartment on the property. Thank you!

We had a great week at Pedro's place. It was clean, nicely decorated and the location was great. You could quickly reach all areas of the island by car. Pedro was also always quick to respond to messages. Unfortunately, we did not get along well with the dog, but after letting Pedro know, he took care of it immediately and we had no further problems. We would recommend the place to anyone and would come back any time!

A beautiful stay! The hosts were incredible and helped us with local recommendations, getting a taxi and let us keep our baggage there as we waited for our flight. There was also a full breakfast that gets delivered to your door- very delicious!

We loved our stay here. The views out of the windows are majestic! The kitchen is fantastic. The bed is super comphy. The host was super responsive and we really appreciated the yummy goodies basket upon check in

What a gorgeous location overlooking the ocean. Beautiful landscaping that Jose has developed over the years. He upgraded us to the larger house with an even more idyllic view of the ocean. The constant sound of the waves was extremely relaxing. Comfortable house with comfortable beds and bedding. Everything you need in the kitchen. AC/Heating units in every room with modes to cool, dry, heat. We used the heating and dry modes as it was mid Dec and the proximity to the ocean can get a bit damp. Worked like a charm! House cleaning mid week was a nice perk. Jose was very nice and helpful with local recommendations. The small village in walking distance has a market for groceries and a small restaurant. Be sure to rent a small car for the narrow winding roads and narrow entrance to the steep driveway. We look forward to coming again and enjoying the lovely pool next time! Breathtakingly beautiful vistas on walking trail nearby. We also caught a view of Santa Maria island on a few days.

The house and garden are lovingly maintained and beautiful. Helena+ Felix were perfect hosts and pampered us with homemade cakes, fresh fruit, etc. I would like to award more than 5 points.

thank you Paulo for hosting us the accommodation is located in a very peaceful and pleasant place without any noise around just nature there is the essentials in the accommodation the only small downside being a lot of humidity in winter in the bathroom despite the ventilation but I imagine that summer is very hot everything was correct and welcoming otherwise the cleaning is done mid-stay that's perfect and the instructions and advice by Paulo were welcome and clear i highly recommend it plus there is a communal pool I imagine that summer is the dream to enjoy it talk soon!
