Our 2nd time back at the Bush Retreat and we can't fault it! The bright colours of the decor and in the amazing garden are sure to put you in a good mood. Jodie is a generous and thoughtful host; she left us a lovely hamper of snacks and kindly offered us a late check-out after a long day of driving and the end of daylight savings which was much appreciated. If you are into vintage, highly recommend checking out the Quambatook District Share Shop on your trip!

Such a charming place to stay! Stunning lake views. Surprisingly comfortable, cosy bed with beautiful linens. Outdoor shower is a bit of fun and the weather in January was perfect for it. If we had stayed longer we would have taken out the kayak! Flexible checkout and friendly hosts who respected our privacy. Highly recommended!

Even better than the photos! This is one of my favourite places that I’ve ever stayed. I wish we had longer to spend here. The building itself is phenomenal. The accomodation is new, clean and perfect. All the extra touches are beautiful and personal. The location is amazing. Even on a main round it feels secluded. The view along the creek is relaxing and a great spot to rest a few hours. Everything you need is a short drive away. A great location to explore the area from. I’ve never felt so welcome by a host. I can’t recommend staying here enough.

Thank you Daisy for having us stay at your beautiful cottage. We had such a special weekend away. The cottage was picture perfect and had everything we needed. It was a beautiful space to relax in over the weekend. It was very comfortable and so close to town. We loved having a meal at the local pub and we enjoyed a night time walk on the Saturday night around the beautiful township, admiring the history and beautiful original buildings. We would definitely stay again and we will be recommending to many of our loved ones. We can’t fault our weekend away at Daisy’s cottage. Thank you so much

Lakeside Retreat

Lovely little cabin by the lake. Easy access to the nice walking trail along the lake to the flying boat museum. The place is dog friendly, with great yard but it’s with a farm fence (neighbours on both side have dogs) - not a problem with active supervision (ours is a small dog but understand the boundary so no issue at all). The place itself is compact but comfortable enough - the welcome pack was a great touch. Would recommend.

We stayed in Alice and Carol’s place while visiting family and it was perfect for us. The instructions to get there were very clear and Carol was there to greet us on arrival; she’d even got the fires burning beforehand! Our 5 yo was instantly at home and had plenty of fun exploring the outside and the beds were cosy and comfortable. We loved looking at the curios displayed around the house! We would absolutely stay there again. Thank you for a really lovely time.

The Bungalow at The Peppers was a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing stay. Britta’s place was fully stocked with everything you could need. We loved all of the personal touches. The location was beautiful, being only a short drive into town. The delightful warm greetings from ruby and Everest (the golden retrievers) was a big highlight. Genna was a great host; the place was a great fit for our needs and stay. Pool time was fun, plenty for the kids to do. Lots of toys for the kids to play with whilst also catering for the adults, outdoor entertainment with a fire pit to enjoy some drinks with friends. I would recommend to all and hopefully Genna will have us again :) Thanks again for a lovely weekend and Easter away from home.

We had an amazing holiday, the pictures don’t do it a justice! The kids had a ball in the swimming pool and playing all the games provided by Bec. The house is so spacious which makes it ideal if you are travelling with a big group. All the bedding and linen was gorgeous and we were offered extra towels for the pool. Bec was extremely accommodating and was quickly to reply with a questions we had. We will be back again!
