Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Putnam County

We loved Austin and Morgan’s new house/cottage. It is very well designed, nicely appointed and of good quality. It has all the amenities you need, and more. In a good location. Close to all the things to do in Charleston, plus many restaurants. Austin and Morgan were very good hosts. Responsive and friendly. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at.

Lori was wonderful. Very communicative and proactive with giving me information and making sure I'd be able to make it to the location (they had gotten some snow). Very responsive with any questions. We came down to visit the mothman statue and museum and it was just a few minutes away while still feeling private. Overall, great stay.

We were in Don’s house for 5 months and he was an outstanding host. We kept extending our stay and he was always accommodating and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about him.

This is a superb place to stay! If you are debating between a hotel and this air bnb, book this place. You won't be disappointed. For starters, it was spotlessly clean. Way cleaner than almost any other place we've ever stayed. Billinda is an excellent host. We felt like we were staying with family instead of a stranger. The home is very close to the Charleston convention center and also Charleston Town Center. Very convenient location. Ideal for lots of situations-business travelers, girls getaway, stopover on a longer trip, or like us as a family needing a place for a peaceful and restful getaway. Billinda is very welcoming to children. There are fun family games and kid-friendly antiques. Plus so much more room than a hotel. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep. She also has plenty of extra blankets for each bed. It seemed like she had thought of every detail to help us feel welcome and comfortable. If in the area again, we would totally stay here again. Highly recommend!

We were so fortunate to find Beth’s place to visit family for Christmas. The location was perfect! Close enough to all the family, but not too close. We have stayed in many rentals over the years and I have to say, this is one of the best. Some places only give you 1 kitchen towel and dish rag, but not Beth! We had more than enough bath towels and everything you could possibly need. The special part for us was how beautiful the house was decorated for Christmas and the goodies she left out for us. We had a wonderful time and Beth was so kind and responsive if we had a question. We don’t get to WV very often, but we would definitely stay here again without any hesitation.

A very unique place to stay in a cabinized shipping container. We loved getting a night away from the kids and having some peace to unwind at this space!

Beautiful space. Beautiful view. Host was very friendly and helpful in finding the place. Bed was a little uncomfortable but the space was so nice. Would stay here again.

Our family was in the area to ride Hatfield McCoy’s Ivy Branch Trail System and this house was perfect for our family of 8, but could sleep 12! Lots of room for parking several trucks with trailers. Bub was very fast to answer when we had a question. We would stay again if in the area!

Cute apartment! I stayed there in the winter, but the proximity to the river would be great in warm weather. I appreciated having access to extra towels. The corner shower may be challenging for people with a big frame.

The stay was overall very good and we would recommend this property. The location was beautiful and secluded. The caretaker was warm and welcoming. Instructions on how to access the property were prompt and detailed. The garage apartment smelled very good and was exceptionally clean. It is set up more like a studio. The entryway is where the first bed is located with laundry and bathroom. The second bed is located in the main studio area. The laundry was very helpful with detergent available. If you have pets, please kennel them as there are pet deterrents behind the couch that could be dangerous. Overall it is a 5/5 rating and we have shared the listing with family for when they stay in the area.

Loved this place! Myrna responds quickly and helped walk us through scheduling. The rental is very private and has an awesome view! The rental was very clean and had everything we needed! Will be booking for future trips!

Valerie’s place was beyond perfect!!! It was clean and beautiful. Her directions made the home easy to find. We had everything we could have ever needed to make our stay comfortable. Our dogs were thrilled to have a wide open space to run and play. While secluded, it close to towns with stores and restaurants. This place is perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat that isn’t too far from town. We hope to come back in the future!!

It was the perfect getaway for us! Very quiet and cozy, with an unbelievable breakfast! Rebecca and her husband were extremely kind and responsive. We felt right at home and loved being able to bring our pup with us. We would absolutely recommend visiting them, and can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful time. It was very clean and the view was stunning. The hot tub was absolutely perfect to look at the stars in. The movie selection and game selection looked great! The kitchen had every gadget you may need if you are planning on cooking, bedrooms have ceiling fans, and box fans in the closets. If you are going in the winter, they have blankets galore. It looks like they are doing even more work on the pond, but it wasn't a mess it was beautiful to look at. Having the option of the SXS was so cool. The Atvs would definitely have been a better experience(some hills are pretty steep!), but the paths were pretty awesome to explore. Highly recommend this spot if you are coming to the area!

The solitude was awesome and refreshing. The home was amazing. The view and quiet was a welcome change to where I usually stay during work. I will be inquiring about this property next year.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We were arriving after dark and Rebecca made sure we had detailed instructions and she sent a map, which made it easy to find. The cabin was spotless, nicely furnished, and cozy. We would absolutely return for another stay.
