Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Putnam County

Perfect spot for an overnight stay to break up our long drive with the family dog—close to the interstates and downtown, easy to find / park / get access, and a great fenced yard. The house is tidy and up-to-date, with nice West Virginia touches.

Great little house on the river front, hot tub was wonderful as you watched out of it to the river, there was 1 family camping close to the river that made it a little not private but they did have blinds to lower but then it took away from the view until after dark when they went inside for the evening then you was ok to put up the blinds ( this was the only thing we wasn't fond of). Nice bathroom area, very roomie. couch was inviting to sit & watch TV at night as well as there was TV in both bedrooms. We made use of the fire pit to make s'mores after we got the fire started..would recommend some fire starter things or you'll have to gather smaller sticks, dryed things to ignite things along the walking area. overall it was a great time away. we will definitely stay again.

Amazing hosts, diligent with response and incredibly helpful with the area! The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed! Lori even brought us extra blankets because there was some extra cold weather, but the place was nice and warm! Absolutely recommend a stay here, close to point pleasant and all the mothman things and a perfect spot to go see more in Ohio or WV. The area is peaceful, a great view of the Ohio river and sometimes trains!

This was a really nice place. Conveniently located to all attractions and easy access to restaurants and shops. Plenty of room for our 7 person party. Absolutely zero issues with the amenities. Cozy backyard and fire pit for chilling at home. Parking is the only reservation but manageable with a mid-size suv or crossover. Definitely recommend and would stay again. Mr. Wilson was an exceptional host with great recommendations!

Everything was great Belinda was very flexable with us on checking and checkout At the time of our stay the weather was very unsettled , and she allowed us to extend if need be. This was a repeat visit and we enjoy her attention to details and her quick response to any concerns we might have. Look forward to returning in the future.

We were so fortunate to find Beth’s place to visit family for Christmas. The location was perfect! Close enough to all the family, but not too close. We have stayed in many rentals over the years and I have to say, this is one of the best. Some places only give you 1 kitchen towel and dish rag, but not Beth! We had more than enough bath towels and everything you could possibly need. The special part for us was how beautiful the house was decorated for Christmas and the goodies she left out for us. We had a wonderful time and Beth was so kind and responsive if we had a question. We don’t get to WV very often, but we would definitely stay here again without any hesitation.

Cute apartment! I stayed there in the winter, but the proximity to the river would be great in warm weather. I appreciated having access to extra towels. The corner shower may be challenging for people with a big frame.

The stay was overall very good and we would recommend this property. The location was beautiful and secluded. The caretaker was warm and welcoming. Instructions on how to access the property were prompt and detailed. The garage apartment smelled very good and was exceptionally clean. It is set up more like a studio. The entryway is where the first bed is located with laundry and bathroom. The second bed is located in the main studio area. The laundry was very helpful with detergent available. If you have pets, please kennel them as there are pet deterrents behind the couch that could be dangerous. Overall it is a 5/5 rating and we have shared the listing with family for when they stay in the area.

Loved this place! Myrna responds quickly and helped walk us through scheduling. The rental is very private and has an awesome view! The rental was very clean and had everything we needed! Will be booking for future trips!

me and my husband enjoyed a short getaway over New Years, our first trip after getting married. The location was secluded and serene. we enjoyed the hot tub and watching the ducks in the pond. Everything was clean and easy to locate in the house. If you are someone who's feet get cold I would recommend bringing house slippers as the floors are chilly and they asked that shoes not be worn inside. Additionally there is no covered over the porch area so if it rains or anything the furniture outside will be wet and you will be rained on in the hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider it again in the future.

10 stars!!! Earl is a SUPER SUPER SUPER host!! We accidentally made a wrong turn in the snow and my car got stuck at night in 2° weather! Earl did not hesitate to come help us in the freezing cold and make sure we got in safe. Then he also brought us a delicious cherry dessert!! I couldn't recommend him enough!

Our family was in the area to ride Hatfield McCoy’s Ivy Branch Trail System and this house was perfect for our family of 8, but could sleep 12! Lots of room for parking several trucks with trailers. Bub was very fast to answer when we had a question. We would stay again if in the area!

Pictures do not do this place justice! So warm and welcoming! We had everything we needed for a perfect friends get away! The hot tub was nice, the jacuzzi tub was incredible! Very secluded and quiet! Plenty of towels and extra blankets if needed! Mary Beth was super helpful and responsive to any questions we had during the visit. Can’t wait to stay in the warmer months!

Valerie’s place was beyond perfect!!! It was clean and beautiful. Her directions made the home easy to find. We had everything we could have ever needed to make our stay comfortable. Our dogs were thrilled to have a wide open space to run and play. While secluded, it close to towns with stores and restaurants. This place is perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat that isn’t too far from town. We hope to come back in the future!!

We had a great stay at the River’s Edge! The breakfast was delicious and Rebecca was the perfect host! We would definitely stay again!

Great cabin and it made the trip totally worth it. They were very responsive and accomodating.

We had a wonderful time. It was very clean and the view was stunning. The hot tub was absolutely perfect to look at the stars in. The movie selection and game selection looked great! The kitchen had every gadget you may need if you are planning on cooking, bedrooms have ceiling fans, and box fans in the closets. If you are going in the winter, they have blankets galore. It looks like they are doing even more work on the pond, but it wasn't a mess it was beautiful to look at. Having the option of the SXS was so cool. The Atvs would definitely have been a better experience(some hills are pretty steep!), but the paths were pretty awesome to explore. Highly recommend this spot if you are coming to the area!
