This is a very special and unique spot. Kim has put a lot of work into creating a small, but charming, space. It is surprisingly quiet and the view out to Mount Maraia is incredible as it is so close. Speaking of which....we drove the 3 minutes to the base of this wee mountain twice as we loved this little hike. We are both 70 but managed the up and down in well under an hour and loved it! We were amazed at the variety of "perfect" length hikes in the area and did a different one every day. Kim is super friendly and even cut down some bananas from the back gardenmand gave them to us. He has paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, boogie boards and other outdoor stuff all availbal to use. If you like exploring the outdoors don't miss out on staying here....thanks Kim

The Syrah Shack exceeded our expectations. We thought it would be beautiful, but it was amazing. The small details made the place just stunning, the style, location, genuine vibe to the property, was perfect. From the gorgeous hot tub, the yummy muesli, the sounds of the kiwi, the smells, everything is clearly taken into consideration to make this place an unforgettable place to stay. It is one of the best places we have ever stayed in :) Loved it!

Fairytale Treehouse is a master piece of ingenuity, creativity and love for nature and wood--a truly magic place. We loved every minute of it, and already plan our next stay. The place is not only beautiful, it is also so so so clean! Of course, we enjoyed reading the history of it and seeing all the photos of the house being designed and built.

Absolutely loved this stay so much. ! Would give six stars if I could ! The location is so beautiful and peaceful, with lots to do including a bush walk , a chance to look for kiwis at night and even the ability to toast marshmallows! Couldn’t recommend more !

Not much more can be said than this is just an absolutely beautiful space and location, with a great view of the harbour to watch the day go from sunrise to sunset. Unfortunately we had a bit of cloud cover at night but it would be incredible to see the stars here. Private and secluded, with the only noise or signs of other life the insects, birds and occasional cow. House feels comfortable with everything you could need.

Great place for just relaxing. Great view and right by the beach. Great also for nearby hikes. Loved the bikes and kayak and grill! Friendly host. Highly recommend.

Wow! Jubilee Eco Retreat is amazing. Silv and Steve are wonderful hosts. They met us on arrival and had some treats waiting for us. We were able to use the ATV to get up to the absolutely stunning cabin. Itʻs peaceful, quiet and private. Definitely a retreat from the business of our daily lives. The cabin had everything we needed so much that we didnʻt want to leave. We cooked pizza one night, grilled another night and took in the sunset with a glass of wine and a soak in the hot tub. If youʻre looking for a respite to relax with amazing hosts, this is the place. We canʻt wait to return. Thanks Silv and Steve!
