The Pearl of Whakatiwai

The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A completely restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed and see the views that go on forever. A great little kitchen with new oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need if you want a "foodie" get away. We do not have a TV, but great WiFi. Great fishing right on your doorstep.

Welcome to the West Wing! We live in an old villa on 2 acres of lawn and garden. Near the main house but not attached to it we have our guest house. We have decorated it in keeping with it’s history but with all modern conveniences including Sky TV. We have a comfy king bed in the studio part with a double bed upstairs in the gorgeous retro attic.The upstairs bed is suitable for a smaller couple or a single person. We have a lovely, well equipped kitchen. We provide a good continental breakfast.

A stony beach across the road lends itself to rock fishing, swimming or just for a stroll along the water's edge. A 10km drive south takes you to the local amenities in Kaiaua such as a fish and chip shop, hotel, dairy, and garage, is the start of the Hauraki Rail Trail, and the Pukorokoro Miranda Shorebird Centre.
