Seven friends and I organized a painting retreat here for 9 days and it was exceptional. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and responsive, and the surroundings were absolutely magical. Chon, the chef, was accommodating to our various dietary restrictions, and Pascal was great in helping us organize local activities and taxis, even fairly last minute. Jackie cleaned the house every day so we didn't have to worry about any chores. We never got tired of seeing (and hearing!) monkeys and macaws outside every day. The beach is a 3 minute walk, almost totally private, and absolutely stunning. A couple things to note: the whole house is open-air so expect it to get hot and humid:) the wildlife is everywhere and can be a bit noisy at night (completely safe, though). And bring a lot of cash to pay for meals and activities. All of us would love to go back, and thank Marco, Chon, Pascal, and Jackie for being so warm and accommodating!

The truth is everything excellent, very clean, equipped, we enjoyed it to the maximum and the ranch was a very beautiful sharing area parking and everything is very closed for sure in addition to being extremely quiet and relaxing

We enjoyed Rodolfo and Inka very much. In the heat, the communal pool was an absolute highlight. Rudolfo always answered all our questions and was a very courteous host. If you are looking for absolute peace, however, you may be bothered by the quite noisy neighborhood. But it was absolutely okay for us and we would come back any time.

My wife grew up in Matapalo so we were looking for the full jungle experience but still be comfortable. Our place was up on the hill with a big grass yard but we were still surrounded by nature. The cleaners came in the middle of our stay & provided fresh bedding & towels. This place exceeded our expectations and we would love to come back!

Great stay, really a good place, the hosts are really adorable and full of beautiful touches, they made our stay in the Corcovado perfect thanks to their many tips and tricks. Homes are very clean. We highly recommend.

Beautiful Private Home With A Pool In Drake Bay! Was A Wonderful House That Was Fully Equipped! We Cooked A Few Meals In This Home & Everything Was Provided! The Bedrooms Have A/C Which Was Amazing In Such Humid Weather! They Also Offer Daily House Cleaning & Pool Cleaning During Your Stay! We Loved The Area & Walked Many Times To The Beach, Grocery Store & Restaurants! The Host Was Amazingly Responsive & Helped Us In Organizing Our Transportation Via Boat Taxi From Sierpe To Drake Bay! The Host Also Had A Private Taxi Meet Us At Drake Bay Beach To Assist With Our Luggage On Arrival! Was A Wonderful Experience!

This casita was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! The pool was awesome, gorgeous views and incredible star gazing (and thunderstorms!). Great recommendations by Rolando for the nearby beach 🏖️ that was splendid and with parrots 🦜 and scarlet macaws. A great spot, highly recommend.

I would give this place 10 stars if that would be possible. In reality, much nicer than in the photos. The whole complex is like paradise. You have the chance to see more animals here than in Corcovado. The pool is a welcome cooling off. Carlos is very responsive and always easily accessible. The in-laws who live on the front part of the property are very friendly and helpful. We would always come back if it wasn't that far away. 100% recommendation!!!

The Osa Peninsula is a beautiful, wild, magical place. Marcella’s house is THE perfect location for your stay. The drive from the closest town (Puerto Jimenez) is about 1/2 hour on a lovely, though rough, dirt road. If you plan wisely & stock up in town, you will have a pleasant stay. I cannot stress how beautiful the home and grounds are. We saw monkeys, Macaws, and lots of other birds right in the yard. Walk to a couple of beaches and at least one restaurant. Drive to many other beaches, trails, etc. The indoor/outdoor space, huge kitchen, upper deck and lower open living space is the most beautiful that I have experienced in my many visits to Costa Rica. If you are up for an adventure and are not spooked by the occasional bat or gecko, this clean, pristine place will be perfect and comfortable for any family. Highly recommended!!

the accommodation was perfect, the place is beautiful, a fully furnished and equipped house, impeccable cleanliness, with gardens and a delicious pool perfect to relax and forget the heat, it was better than we expected, it has air conditioning in both rooms and definitely that was a plus since Puerto Jiménez is characterized by having a quite hot weather. Alexander was super attentive, answered all my msj, definitely my family and I will visit the place again. If they are looking for a place with these conditions and also close to the beach, this is ideal, since only 900 meters away there are two beautiful beaches. Definitely highly recommended

The house is as shown in the photographs, well equipped, with good Wi-Fi, safe and with spacious spaces both in the gardens and for parking. The ranches are ideal for outdoor dining, and the pool, clean and accessible. The host and don Marvin's attention was excellent, always attentive and friendly, which made the stay even better. A highly recommended place to go to relax and enjoy yourself.

We enjoyed our stay! We were looking for an authentic experience with our kids and this was it! Everyone we met was so welcoming and kind. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed our time on the porch surrounded by nature. Zulay cooked us the most delicious meals right at the house and we did a Gold Tour with William and Kerley. The house was clean and safe with lots of hiking nearby. Highly recommend!

It was just super great to stay in the house, where we were welcomed by Rosita, who also helped us with the laundry and just gave a good authentic atmosphere for everything. This was our first time renting an Airbnb in a foreign country, so we were a little nervous. Charles was super helpful and responsive during the whole trip. He gave us great recommendations, scheduled our excursions, and answered all of our questions. The main thing we wanted to do was to go offshore fishing. Charles hooked us up with two great captains (Louis and Donald (Dos Mas), and we had a great day of fishing. The house is located just a very short walk from the pier where you catch the boat. There are also several good restaurants that are within a short walk from the house. We also did an off-road drive and a short hike to the King Louis waterfall, tour of chocolate farm, and went surfing with Keilor (Lakos surf shop in town). We would recommend all of these activities highly. This was a great trip and we had a party of 6 from age 7 to 71. The fishing was amazing.

We had an awesome adventure at Casa Roja, it was a beautiful house in an amazing location. We spotted monkeys from the living room most days, we were visited by the Macaws several times during our stay, and the tours of Corcovado & Canos were spectacular. Graciela and staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and the prepared meals were delicious. It was obvious that our happiness and comfort was their priority. I would highly recommend Casa Roja for a Costa Rican retreat, just be prepared for the heat. Without a steady breeze or airflow via fans, the heat can be brutal for northerners like us.

Peter’s cabin is off grid, surrounded by nature and a two minute walk to the ocean. The location is remote (40 mins from Puerto Jimenez, 4x4 bumpy the last 10 mins) and encourages a pace of life slow down! Everyday we loved it more and more! The surrounding area and Peter’s property is truly spectacular and magical. The cabin is very simple, probably best described as rustic. It has wood louvres and screens on all the windows, ants as friends if you leave any morsel of food out. You can hear every piece of nature coming in, the first night we didn’t sleep, but once you adjust to the sounds of howler monkeys and cicadas, it’s so amazing! There is no AC, but he has fans that help circulate air. The front porch was our favourite spot. We ate every meal out at the table and could see birds and monkeys right from the chairs. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises at the ocean. Peter is a wealth of information. He’s super helpful and can do kayak, hiking and surfing tours. This is a special place.

A beautiful house, a paradisiacal place (macaws, toucans passing through a garden where all the smells and colors excite you), a dream beach...but the most fabulous are the hosts. Ruth has extraordinary qualities, her small dishes that she makes you discover, her pretty bouquets that she makes, one thing is certain is that you will never want to leave this house where you do not miss anything!

Great value, I just recommend having a 4x4, too far from Bahía Drake on foot. The host is adorable, his restaurant is super good, the accommodation is clean, it's nice, we saw lots of toucans in the garden which is much more beautiful in real life than in photo. You also have access to hammocks and a small outdoor kitchen with fridge.

Casa Rio Sierpe exceeded our expectations. The property was in amazing shape for a being so remotely located. The house was very nice with luxury finishes and expertly maintained. It provides an amazing adventurous experience that is still very luxury. The staff especially was spectacular and welcoming. You should book dinners with Dolly every night and definitely take advantage of the mangrove tour and night hike. We would recommend this house to anyone and look forward to returning.

A total immersion in nature in the desired comfort. Not too much or too little. We were not bothered by the bugs and it was reassuring that all the beds had screens. Our hosts were welcoming while remaining discreet. The place is very quiet and we loved being able to walk on the private trails where we were able to see as many animals as in the park without having to organize a complicated expedition. The beach is safe and authentic, there were no tourists but friendly local families enjoying the beautiful scenery. The last day we saw a group of dolphins a few hundred yards away in the water! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
