Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Porters Lake

Originally thought is was a bit high of a price but after seeing the property we were very pleased with it. It was quiet and clean abd in a nice area with a good view. Woukd definatly recomment this propertyto anyone looking for a place to go whether for a night or an extended stay.

We had a great stay at Owl & Otter! We had a group of 10 and there was more than enough space for everyone! We had two dogs staying with us and they loved the walking trail. Having the event space downstairs made it easy for us to all hang out while not disturbing any of our friends who wanted to sleep upstairs. Emily was super responsive and was always quick to answer any questions that we had! Definitely would stay again :)

Great value for a lovely and conveniently located spot in central Dartmouth. The space is much larger than it appears and is well equipped, comfortable and without any clutter. Emma quickly accomodated our last minute, same day booking and we thoroughly enjoyed a quiet cozy retreat while visiting family in the area.

Lots of extra touches. Wonderful welcome basket that even included dog toys and treats (including wine for the 2-legged guests). Loved having the washer/dryer to use (when you are travelling this is really nice). Overall very positive experience.

Kelly and Doris are incredibly friendly and quick to respond. Our stay was a last minute booking. Both kelly and Doris helped us feel right at home. The property is an Oasis. It has everything your family will need. The pictures do not do it justice. The quiet peacefulness you feel well sitting by the lake is everything you want and need. We will be coming back!

Loved the layout of place and the no stairs. Zack cleared out our step and driveway right away after a snow storm. Heat was not and issue and very comfortable setting. Only thing was washing dishes is a thing you must do after each meal has there was no dishwasher. Would stay again and recommend.

We stayed here twice! It’s always super comfortable, incredibly clean, and the kitchen is perfectly stocked for a person/family who loves to cook! Mengyi is incredibly attentive and tended to any need, which was very minimal need. Everything you have is there- the deep tub was amazing after a long travel.

A great base for our weekend visiting friends and family in Bedford, Halifax, and Dartmouth. Very spacious accommodation with a full kitchen and a great deck. Loved all the fall colours and the quiet surroundings. Easy access to the airport for our very early flight. Everything was super clean and hosts were very responsive when we had questions. Would definitely recommend. We didn't bring any dogs on this trip but I love that the house was dog friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay. Kate was awesome as was Nikki. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the short walk to Tuna Blue. We also went to the Hubbards beach, which was a short drive. We will definitely be back again!! :)

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, spacious lakefront home! The lake was perfect for swimming, and we spent hours each day enjoying the water. The well-appointed kitchen made it easy to cook meals for our group of 9, and the location was ideal—just 10 minutes from grocery stores. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

The cottage in Hubbards was ideal for our stay. My daughter loved the little playground behind. Everything was clean and it was an extremely relaxing stay. Thank you for your great place and kind discussions whenever we passed each other during the days!

WFP &J.P were amazing. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an extra unexpected. Gustave will be very bored of Maple. Small review THAT IS NOT A REVIEW. The fridge isn't very big so don't do too big a grocery every time. We arrived with too many things and didn't get in. But again, it's no big deal. There's a grocery store nearby. Sounds good. Just don't have to plan too far in advance if you have a big family like mine. The pool is extraordinary!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches . We had a great time with the family!!!

we absolutely loved our stay in the cottages! We were able to use a lot of their amenities, Kayaks, boat, pool.. it was so much fun and we made some great memories as a family! Thank you to Katelyn for the great cottage and customer service, we hope to come back again :)

My sister and I treated each other to a holiday sleepover in the woods and it was perfect. The sauna was the best part, but everything was lovely. Will absolutely come back.

This is a beautiful location, especially in the winter, and we couldn't have asked for a more peaceful stay. The Boat House was cozy and had everything we needed. Greg and Samantha were very responsive and great hosts overall. We would love to return one day!

Dave’s place is easy to find, clean and cozy. Lots of room, great kitchen for prepping meals, clean bathroom and excellent yard for the dogs to run and play. The woodstove is so cozy in the winter with lots of dry firewood at your fingertips. Can’t wait to get back!

My dogs and I loved staying at Erin's, we felt right at home. I love staying at Airbnb's when it is obvious that the host cares about the guests happiness and Erin obviously cares! She supplies everything her guests could need to feel at home. I would love to stay at Erin's again the next time I'm in the area. Thank you Erin!

I can only speak to the booking side of the stay for my co worker. Kathy was very responsive and easy to work with. The location was very central and close to work and lots of amenities.

A very well equipped and comfortable place, you will not be disappointed. The hosts are very responsive and friendly. The place is super pet friendly with treats and toys for your dog. The location is great and there is lots of pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance. The only issue is the street parking. We didn’t have an issue because we were there on a weekend. But I could see that being an issue if you were there during the week. There is likely paid parking options though within an easy walking distance.

My friends and I stayed at Erin’s place for 4 days while visiting Nova Scotia and it was a very calm and peaceful stay just outside of Halifax with a beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend going here if you want a nice peaceful stay near Halifax!
