Family-friendly holiday rentals in Porlock

Honestly this is a hidden gem and is definitely hijabi friendly... We had our own private space, including hot tub and outdoor heated swimming pool. Keith sourced produce so that it was accessible, he helped us in getting appropriate taxi services.

We had a great stay at Gill’s cottage. Gill kindly let us stay at short notice, everything was perfect. Lovely, peaceful location and the hot tub was really nice! Would definitely again.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage. Helen the owner was wonderful and looked after us beautifully. The extra touches like homemade cream tea and treats for our dog were particularly nice. The cottage itself was beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a really peaceful location. We had wonderful walks down to the coastal path and Bude is just a short drive away. We cant wait to return.

I’d never arranged a gathering with this many people before, so I was worried how it would turn out, but I needn’t have been, everything was fantastic from the get-go. The instructions to find the house were flawless, and there was plenty of parking space for us all. None of the bedrooms felt cramped, even though there were so many of us, and there were plenty of bathrooms dotted around. The kitchen is vast, with multiple fridges and a great oven, and we really enjoyed being able to eat together around the massive dining room table. The living room could accommodate all of us, and much fun was had with the pool and table football tables, as well as the hot tub. Throughout our stay our hosts were invisible unless we needed them, at which point they replied swiftly. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a large party, thanks for having us!

Great little place for two people, super clean with a very comfortable bed and cozy living room. Having a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast included was amazing. The hot tub was right next to the house and felt very private and quiet so, in the evenings, so we could enjoy it in peace. Joy was really communicative and gave local reccomendations for anyone who wants to explore Weston. We will absolutely visit again next time we want a quick weekend away!

The house was gorgeous, perfect location for walking to the beach & pubs. Had everything we could need & more when it came to cooking our Christmas dinner. There was even a Christmas tree! Only disappointment was the hot tub not working but these things happen. Would highly recommend.

We have just returned from a very relaxing 3 night break with the family. The Cottage was perfect, and we had plenty of space for the 5 of us to relax. The views from the property are amazing and it’s a birdwatchers paradise. The kitchen was so well appointed and Pollyanna gave us excellent directions to the local supermarket to stock up. We really enjoyed the bottle of chilled Prosecco Pollyanna left for us too. The bathrooms were spotless and the beds were very comfortable so we all slept really well. Sadly the weather wasn’t great during our stay but there is a well stocked cupboard of games to enjoy and we took full advantage of the hot tub in the evenings which was such a luxury whilst star gazing and listening to the owls! Pollyanna recommended some great local eateries and gave us tips and recommendations on places to visit. We managed to get some lovely walks in on the beach with the dog so she had a fab time too!! I thoroughly recommend Pollyanna as a host and give 5* rating!

A perfect location for our short break in Somerset with 2 dogs. The villa is quirky, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Lots of space for families with a beautiful garden, sun room and great kitchen. Lovely walks nearby and we walked to the local restaurant the first evening for a takeaway. Took a total of 8 mins there and back! A great base for visiting the Mendips, Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury and Blagdon. A stones throw from Wookey Hole also, although we didn’t visit this time. I would really recommend this beautiful place. If you want to either kick back and relax, or walk and walk and walk - then this is the place for you. Thank you so much. We’d love to return if you’ll have us!

Stayed for a few days with my partner. Really needed some down time and where better than the middle of Dartmoor! Coincided with some beautiful weather so we were happy to make use of the lovely hot tub. We enjoyed exploring, climbed a couple of tors, rested up...and discovered that the Plume of Feathers in Princetown does a very nice takeaway pizza. Hols was very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. A lovely break.

A private little haven, but close to town to not be a hassle to go to the shops.Dog friendly. Kitchen was well equipped. Will def go back.

This is a delightful attic flat…. Everything immaculately clean and of excellent quality. Mike was the perfect host…totally unobtrusive but very helpful. Highly recommended

The surroundings were lovely and a large enclosed garden was great for the dog and our 3 children. we had many a happy night in the hot tub. Lots of things for the kids to play with. We drove to all the local beaches would say most things are within an hour's drive and would recommend watermouth castle as a day out if you have kids!

We had a wonderful stay. Jo is such a lovely host, our 5 year old has a wonderful time feeding the chickens and playing with ruby the dog. When we left he said ‘I miss Jo’. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Sharon’s apartment was everything we could have asked for. Lovely tasteful interior, but practical too. Bathroom was gorgeous, great shower. Living space fairly compact, but perfect for 2. Kitchen well equipped. Even had a little patio area, with table & 2 chairs. Good for a sundowner 😊. Literally a few minutes walk from Crooklets beach , where you can get straight onto the Coastal path. Short walk into town, great variety of cafes & restaurants & excellent independent shops. Perfect place for a weekend trip. Although longer would also work well.

Richard and Mo were great hosts and provided us with all the information required to meet our expectations. Richard met us on arrival and it was lovely to have the basics for breakfast provided for each morning, which was an added surprise and very welcomed. This facility was perfect for my wife as she has mobility issues, and the Airbnb is all on one level with walk-in shower, so made moving around was made so much easier. We would highly recommend staying here, and will look to rebook for our next visit to Devon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the pictures do not do this place justice, as it is much bigger than the pictures show. The annex was very clean and spotless. Ian & Katka (Hosts) were very proactive, friendly and welcoming and went the extra mile. The swimspa and hot tub are an absolute amazing feature of the property along with the balcony and views. We would highly recommend and would love to visit again.

Really a lovely and beautifully clean caravan, with towels and bedding and all the cleaning supplies etc so no need to bring too much from home. Stunning location you fall in love with straight away. Quiet in winter but you feel safe.

We were a group of 15 friends and family - adults, teenagers and children - celebrating new year together. The property suited us perfectly and had everything we needed for a great few days. The location is excellent for the Jurassic coast beaches and Lyme Regis.

Such an amazing home from home, beautiful inside and outside, I would definitely recommend especially for anyone looking to escape a busy life to chill and recharge. The cottage was fully equipped, the bedrooms were perfect, loved the log burner and hot tub. Plenty of space for 4 adults, we only stayed for 3 nights which was not enough time with so much to do.

We had a fabulous stay at Lois’ for a weekend friends reunion. Lois and Paul were welcoming and took the time to talk us through local information. The house had more sleeping areas than we’d realised, which was great. We used the pool and were delighted to find Lois had left us an array of treats in the kitchen. Thank you for having us, I am sure we’ll be back to this fab location.

From Start to Finish Paul was the perfect host, could not do enough for us making sure that the log burners were lit every morning for us - hosting he was great fun and even joined in our activities. Paul has a great place here - you just have to realise that there is no kitchen in the main house but that did not bother us as we spent most of the time up in the area by the Hot Tub which had fantastic kitchen, games, karaoke, bar facilities - thank you Paul you made a great weekend even better !

Wow what a place, it was even better than we thought from the pictures. Had a great weekend celebrating, No one wanted to leave. The house is so welcoming and the facilities are second to none really is something for everyone at moorbath. We will be back!
