House holiday rentals in Penryn

After a few difficulties finding the property, mainly due to it being dark, atrocious weather and a busy time of day and not the instructions from the property, our first impressions where really good. The house looks impressive as you arrive up the driveway and things just get better the further into the house you get. As we all chose our bedrooms and started unpacking we felt at home very quickly. The Tescos delivery turned up just after we arrived and we started using the well equipped kitchen to easily start preparing a meal for 8 of us. We did not leave the house again until we left on the Monday morning and found we had plenty of things to do, whether it was just chilling in the lounge area with a roaring log fire burning, play pool & darts in the games room or enjoying the bubbles in the hottub. We had a couple of personal requests which Margaret & Reanne where more than happy to accommodate, which just made our weekend even better. An amazing property.

We had a lovely relaxing time at Caroline’s place. The lodge is very well equipped and beautifully appointed, even better than shown in the photos. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and feeding the alpacas. 100% recommend.

We have just arrived home after a fantastic stay. The lodge was beautiful with everything that we needed. There is lots to do locally as well as in the resort. We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for another stay in Easter. Thank you once again.

This property was absolutely stunning. We were delighted as soon as we checked in. High end kitchen appliances. Quality modern furniture. The outside space was incredible. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and the bed linen extremely high quality. I would highly recommend this property. It’s better than the photos and we are now planning to book it again. This is a luxury property but well worth the price. Lots of space and easily accommodated our party of 8. Can’t fault one thing

The house was very homely and really big and there was plenty of space to accommodate our family and we all had our own space. The house was in a great location- close to lots of beaches and walking distance to the local pub. James was very responsive and super helpful. Very good place to stay with a family.

We had a fantastic stay. Elga was a super host, very friendly and great communication. The facilities/amenities exceeded expectation. The welcome pack, pint of milk and condiments etc were lovely added touches. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay for a week over Christmas. the place had everything we needed, was warm, comfortable and clean. The hosts were very responsive each time we messaged. thank you 😊

We had a very enjoyable stay. The house was just like the photos and descriptions given. Lovely views all around. The pool, hot tub games room were great especially for our grand children on days when it rained. We did the walk around the coastal path from the beach into Falmouth and thought it was a very scenic walk. We had dinner one evening at the Red Lion which was just a short drive away. Also enjoyed the pickle ball court, even us oldies, the grandparents.

This is the perfect location for a trip to St Ives! Less than a five minute walk and you're in the town centre but you're far enough away that it's perfectly quiet. And to have parking makes it very convenient! And the views! Unreal. As for the house, everything has been thought of. It's clean, the beds are comfy, it's stylish. I'll definitely be back. Peaceful, cosy space and moments from everything. Porthleven is a dream for walkers and foodies. This is a gorgeous cottage to experience it all from.

A fantastic stay and the property was exactly as described. Spotlessly clean and really well equipped. The location is great. A few minutes walk from Newquay Town Centre and less than 10 mins walk to Fistral Beach through the middle of the golf course on a traffic free path. The host responded within an hour on both occasions I contacted her. I can’t fault anything. Thanks for a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

A lovely cottage close to the coastal path. Many beautiful beaches and towns within easy reach; we could explore a lot in just a few days. It's the ideal place if you want to immerse yourself in nature, while being able to access nice pubs/restaurants. Highly recommended!

A lovely cosy home,it had everything we needed for our weeks stay, Bed was lovely & comfy,pillows good,everthing in the kitchen we needed,lovely sea view from windows, Very quiet at night time, Both local pubs were very good too with lovely food,, Brilliant location for some wonderfull coastal walks,would thoroughly recommend Polly & Hugh’s lovely home for a beautifull stay in a gorgeous location!!!

We would definitely recommend staying at Penlee cottage. You have a shared drive with the owner on site, and your own private cotttage and terrace area. It’s so peaceful here but still has places to eat and drink within walking distance or a short drive away. The welcome pack was very informative. We did the coastal walk to mevagissey which was lovely. Gorran Haven is not overrun with tourists but is a good central point to visit lots of tourist hotspots. During our stay we also visited lands end, the Minack theatre, mousehole and the Eden project all in one day! We also had a dip in the sea, just a very short walk from Penlee cottage which was an added bonus. The cottage has an additional shower room downstairs which was ideal for washing the sand off without trialing it upstairs to the bathroom. Steve is a lovely man with a great sense of humour. He is a perfect host as he is there if you need anything, but also lets you get on with your holiday, privately. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay! Beautiful and homely, with lovely outdoor spaces. Rooms were all comfortable, clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Simon and Saraya were friendly, gave helpful instructions and were really responsive. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay in this clean self contained property. It’s private and well located for all amenities. The shower room is very nice with constant hot water. The lounge is comfortable and relaxing with a well supplied kitchen. The floors are cool so bring your slippers or something warm. Overall this is a great property, run by nice people and we’d definitely stay again.

Loved our stay, everything was beautifully presented and our American friends standards were surpassed too. House had everything we needed, showers were great and beds were really comfortable. We loved Charlestown local eateries too, but recommend you book in busy seasons. Highly recommend this house and location.

We had an unforgettable week at Trevassack House and felt so fortunate to have found such a grand and lovely home to spend New Year with friends who traveled from Belgium and France. Catherine and Matthew’s home is absolutely perfect for hosting a large group. We were 8 adults, 3 small children and one dog and there were plenty of large rooms for us to spread out comfortably. The children were able to play in one room while the adults played games and the piano in front of the fire across the hall. Although, we spent most of our New Year around the family-style farmhouse table in the kitchen. We prepared all meals at home thanks to the well-equipped kitchen and the proximity of food shops. The house is in a quiet area and we slept like babies each night after long days visiting the seal sanctuary, St Ives and Newquay. The garden and grounds are gorgeous as well and had it been warmer, we certainly would have taken advantage of the terrace. We made memories for a lifetime here ❤️

Valerie’s house was everything we were hoping for and more. The setting is beautiful with a gorgeous wrap around garden. We only occupied the ground floor which in itself felt like the perfect home for the three of us plus our dog. Each room was beautifully furnished with an en suite for each bedroom. We cannot recommend it enough and very much hope we get to stay there again. Perfect pre- Christmas celebration with our family.

From the first communication at the pre-booking stage through to our departure after our wonderful stay, Michelle was so friendly, helpful and responsive. The property was spotlessly clean and spacious and the perfect place for our family party of 6 adults and a toddler. The online photos don’t do the house justice. The rooms downstairs have a good flow and the bedrooms are all a decent size. Nice private outside space too. The house is a short walk to the town and its beaches, but is very peaceful and quiet. Nothing was too much trouble for Michelle and her speed of response to my queries was both helpful and comforting, knowing that the house owner was always “on call” had we had any problems - which we didn’t! I can’t fault Michelle or her lovely house and I’d happily recommend Carn Galva House to anyone as a great base in fabulous St Ives. We’ve been visiting the area for many years and this is our best choice of property.

The property was very beautiful and clean. We had a child with us and the baby chair in the kitchen is very thoughtful. Lana and her daughter was very easy to get hold of. The experience was remarkable. Definitely recommended!

Great spacious house fully equipped , Sam’s super responsive and helpful . Would definitely return and stay again !

The house is lovely & has everything you need, it’s a real home from home. The garden is beautiful with lots of seating areas & a brilliant BBQ, it’s also ideal for children, you can watch them have a great time on the trampoline or swing while you relax. Lots of lovely beaches within a 30 min drive as well as Porthtowan beach which is a 5 min drive & a very reasonable price for all day parking. We visited Crantock, Holywell, Chapel Porth & Gwithian as well as Porthtowan. Take cash for car parks as there isn’t always a signal to pay by card or phone. Anita makes you feel very welcome & is there if you have any questions about anything. We had a lovely family holiday with 9 of us ranging from 81 to 3 & we all had a great time.

Well maintained house with garden and terrace. Very spacious and can comfortably accommodate seven guests. Kitchen is well equipped and appliances are brand new. We encountered some problems during our stay but Tom has been very responsive and easy to communicate.
