I stayed for 74 nights - a long enough time to get a real feel for the place, and José Luis as a host. The whole experience was excellent and his description spot on. Almuñécar is such a great, vibrant town and sat in the hot tub looking up at the stars & down on Almuñécar is a memory to cherish. The climb up & down the hill is not for some, but for me it was worth it for the peace, tranquility and views. José Luis was always on hand if ever required (for instance powercuts or when the wifi broke - both fixed within an hour or two). Honestly he was a great host. 5 stars across the board from me 👏👏

It's a nice house and within walking distance you can eat tapas. Not far from the big road so you can easily go anywhere.

Fantastic house,with all the amenities that was not missing anything , perfect place,everything in condition of 10,the hosts super nice and friendly, flexible in and out. Loved everything!! Right now the best location after several years opting for Airbnb. Maricarmen and Pepe are amazing people, super friendly, flexible, they told us where to go both to visit and to eat. Your dog is great we loved it and we had the opportunity to meet your super funny grandson. He invited us to eat potato tortilla with alioli, incredible of rich and to say.. the place is spectacular, private area, relaxing and tranquility no more. Normal that I have so many good comments, until the last minute we were delighted with details like the gift that Pepe made of some very cool caps. We will definitely be back. For future travelers.. it does not appear that they have in the kitchen oven, but they have on top of the fireplace an oven that belongs to it and it saved our life, it heated the house and it could be put to heat food and super rich. To thank Maricarmen and Pepe their treatment and we wish to return as soon as possible! We accept adoption!! Hahahaha

A lovely villa in beautiful surroundings. we were very comfortable and had everything we needed, plus the tomatoes from Juan Antonio's garden were absolutely delicious. The pool was perfect for the kids and it was so peaceful. Great bar nearby in Restabal. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much :)

We had an incredible weekend, in a quiet, noisy place. Loli welcomed us for the delivery of the keys and at all times everything was great. The place the fantastic, the outside is a luxury in nature with jacuzzi included, you can bathe at 35 degrees at night and be super relaxed. It has a fireplace and all kinds of comfort , it is a simple and very cozy place. We came back with a good feeling, very disconnected and quiet. Thank you for your hospitality and good treatment, we felt right at home !!! We'll definitely stay again again!

Cristina's accommodation has the essence and peculiarity of the Alpujarras area, as well as a view from the spectacular cuisine, as you can see the sea. The location is good and has a pizzeria next door.

Clara is an extremely responsive host. We had a number of questions and Clara came back to us with helpful information right away. Clara has created a beautifully designed modern interior and very comfortable home in a traditional village house in the Sierra Nevada, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It really is a home with everything that you need, including a well equipped kitchen and a wood burning stove for colder months, a lovely patio with comfortable furniture and dipping pool for warmer weather. We couldn’t have been happier with every aspect of our stay.

beautiful home in a dream place seems to be inside a medieval story, and at night illuminated makes you want to be awake... maria Jose's house was spotless, excellent cleanliness, the spacious rooms and the comfortable beds only detail to keep in mind, since it is a village with narrow streets you can't park the car at the door of the house but a few meters there are wider areas if I come back I don't doubt that I repeat this place

A great house. I was very impressed by the kitchen having everything I needed - pans, cutting board, spices, etc. the beds are comfy, the house it’s warm, and the place looks terrific overall. I guess my only complaint is the hot water - I have lots of hair and take my time washing it, and the hot water ran out pretty quickly… but if you don’t usually spend 30+ minutes in the shower, you should be alright.

This is the second time we have stayed in this house and, without a doubt, we will repeat in the future, since everything is just as seen in the photos. Spacious house, with everything you need to spend a few days in total calm, in a quiet space and with several hiking trails. Totally recommended.

From the moment of arrival they were very close and friendly with everything related to the house and the place. The house had all the basic necessities, even more than necessary (chicken eggs). The stay was very pleasant and quiet and with any questions we were always in contact in a simple way. The truth is that it has been a perfect weekend of good company that we will definitely take into account again in the future. I'm glad to be able to find people as good as them, highly recommended!!

We stayed at Cortijo Los Chinos from 27th - 31st December 2024. The house and surrounding area is an Oasis, an ideallic getaway for those longing for a few days of peace and quiet. You can cosy up by the fire place or go for a swim in the pool. We didn't use the pool on this trip but we will definitely be back in warmer weather. The house was very clean and comfortable. We were visited by a number of cats from neighbouring properties. They were very loving and cleanly kept and kept us company as we missed our own cats who had to stay at home. The grounds were full of orange trees and the oranges were lovely. I can honestly say I have never stayed anywhere with more freshly squeezed orange juice. The owner Esther is lovely and was always very kind and courteous in all my conversations with her. 11/10 cannot rate highly enough! The best trip we’ve had in a long time.

We are absolutely delighted with our stay at the country house, which offers everything we wanted for a cozy stay - peace, nature, privacy, fantastic views, a warm fire, a well-equipped kitchen, a beautiful terrace, ... Francisco is a fantastic host, we feel pampered and excellently provided with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, and the culinary attention is beyond competition😊 We wish Fran and Alfonso the best of luck in realizing their creative vision for this beautiful place. Have a great stay at David's. We recommend the house for its calm and tranquility, no overlook it is perfect to feel alone! With a magnificent view, thank you again to David who was welcoming and very friendly.

If you enjoy peace and privacy, whilst being surrounded by nature then this would be your idea of a little piece of heaven! My husband and I spent a wonderful 28 days at Casa Gaspar and its everything as described and so much more. The villa has everything you need for a self catering stay. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, sofas and seating outside. The pool is great for cooling off in, as temperatures were hitting 31 degrees some days. In the evenings you can sit and listen to the waves coming in, whilst watching the bats flying past, seeing if you can spot where the house geckos will be and listening out for the wild boar roaming through the valley. Francisco is a great host and was very welcoming and friendly, as were his lovely family. As advised in other reviews a car is essential, although tucked away down a gravel road, you are really not very far from the main towns. We will 100% return, we didn't want to leave!

Absolutely outstanding experience. Alpujarras is a magic place for a long number of reasons, architecture and people being at the core of its uniqueness. The house and Alberto are loyal to and best example of these wonderful qualities.

If you want to disconnect this is definitely your place! Rober was super nice and the house was impeccable. We'll be back

Concha was very sweet and attentive. The location is perfect, very quite but just 20 minutes cycling from the city.

Miguel was very attentive and kind, he gave us clear indications of what the access to the house was like and gave us many facilities to adapt our stay

We spend a month in Valor and in the process started looking to buy a place there ourselves. The cottage location is something that can hardly be shown on pictures or described- but waking up there each morning felt special and magical. Amenities are great, all as described. The cottage is comfy - we stayed with 3 dogs and had the best time Saying this - is guess not for everyone. You won't find Marbella crowds there and I couldn't be happier about it. Alpujarras is a special place and you will feel it when staying at the cottage. I wish we haven't left. The only thing worth mentioning is the driveway to the place is steep. Can feel intimidating at first but we made it up in our 3.5 tonne transit multiple times.
