Beautiful home very near Ohakune town center (with easy beautiful outdoor walks to and from the property). Views and space itself exceeded already high expectations set by the photos. Well equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches from the spa, kitchen and bathroom supplies, to the fireplace and TV streaming options.

The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the host was very responsive.Had chocolates and red wine ready for us which was much appreciated, bathing water was big and plentiful, that was great, more than enough kitchen supplies, enough for us to use.A rice cooker would be great

The stay at this house was great! Our family of eight, including two under two, found the location and properties amenities perfect for a family night in and enjoying each other’s property! Vess’ instructions for our stay were spot on and left us without questions from the moment we arrived until we left. Her communication was amazing from the moment we booked our stay. Would most definitely recommend this home to visit when going to Ohakune! 😊

Aroha Cottage was such a gem of a place. We had such a wonderful stay. Very clean, responsive hosts and location was great. The fire was such a bonus. Thanks for having us, we’ll be back.

Included everything that was needed to make the stay hassle free. Conveniently located for leisurely river walks to and from the city. And most importantly, fantastic communication and prompt responses to any questions.

The home was clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of 3’s needs. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would reconsider if we were to visit again. Property managers were responsive, helpful and gracious. One minor issue - we felt that ‘there were too many rules’ - this didn’t take away from our overall strongly positive impression, however. Walkable distance to the town and good options for meals - The Cypress Tree and Osteria Ohakune were excellent.

Fantastic location and an amazing host. Jess’s beautiful house is nestled in a small cluster of houses surrounding a little lake. We were fortunate that weather played a good part adding to the joy of visiting the Skywaka and walks around the town . Jess was very helpful and prompt as a host . It’s going to be a certain repeat in winters😊
