Take a break & recharge at Merimbula’s ‘NEWEST’ Airbnb. This cute little 1956 cottage has recently been renovated and comes with a private Outdoor Bath that overlooks the bush and ocean views. We have a queen and single bunk bedrooms, which is great for couples or small familes. The bush encroaching into the backyard is were you’ll find the Australian wild life. The pristine swimming and surfing beaches, restuartants, cafes and the shops are only a 5 minute drive. The possibilities are endless.

Find peace & tranquility in this sweet & stylish space with views of a lake, forest & farmland. Experience solitude & privacy with only a small distant cottage in sight. Swim in the river, see the stars at night, Roos at dusk & dawn and a few cows. It is off-grid with solar power and water must be carted in. For the hot days there is an air cooler ( no Aircon), it always cools down at night. No heater inside but it is never too cold in winter. Firewood provided. Cooking on bbq outside! 😊

Beach Retreat is in a fantastic location, a short easy walk to Pambula Beach with Lions Beach and the beautiful Rivermouth both within a kilometre! Birdsong Cottage is wonderful! From the moment we drove up the driveway, Susan was sitting on the upper deck and waved us in. Birdsong Cottage is immaculate, lovely, comfortable, and has everything one needs to cook meals, wash laundry, relax in the front room, sleep comfortably, or write postcards at the kitchen table whilst enjoying the beautiful sea view. But the best for us was sitting on the deck, enjoying the stellar sea view and lovely garden, and absolutely captivated by in the variety of beautiful birds singing, chirping, calling and squawking as they flew overhead, wandered the lawn, or perched on the fence. We were in Birdsong Paradise! The location is ideal, a two-minute drive to the grocery store and three minutes to the coastal trails down to the rocky intertidal, complete with swim-able rock pools. Sunrises are heavenly. We will always remember our blissful time at Birdsong Cottage!

I had such a lovely stay at Adobe in the Honeymoon suite with my dog. It’s such a cute and quirky cottage with a beautiful view and not too close to the other cottages. It’s in a nice area with good walks close by and the shops and beaches were about a 10 min drive. Julie very kindly left chocolate, wine, milk, juice, yoghurts, English muffins and all sorts of bits to enjoy. It’s a really great place to stay and I do highly recommend it but a couple of things to note (it does say these things on the listing but in case you don’t realise). Firstly there’s no aircon so it gets very hot and stuffy in there on hot days even with the ceiling fan on. I brought a mini fan with me which helped a bit. Secondly there is a giant window/skylight above the bed so if you’re very sensitive to the light in the mornings that’s something to consider or bring an eye mask. Those couple of things aside it really is an amazing place to stay!

Koala Cottage was the private, relaxed and serene break we all needed. We were blown away by how beautiful the natural surroundings were, how private the home felt and how much wildlife we could hear and see at all times of the day and night. Belinda was so helpful and welcoming; even spending her own time finding koalas high in the trees for us to say hi to. If we are in Mallacoota again (and we hope to be!), we'll definitely be hoping to stay at Koala Cottage again.

Rick’s place is terrific. Pretty much agree with most things that others have said, so won’t repeat those. It’s very quiet and peaceful. No-one was staying in the flat next to us, which probably helped, but its location means you get hardly any traffic. What stood out for us though was the birdlife. The thoughtful planting around the complex meant the area attracts a number of nectar-feeding birds. For our stay in March, Eastern Spinebills, New Holland Honeyeaters and Little Wattlebirds were the most common. There were also a few lorikeets, fairy wrens and scrub-wrens. Would love to come back!

We felt at home at Duncan’s house. It was very quiet and peaceful. The neighbours were close but extremely quiet. It was walking distance to the beach and we saw kangaroos and echidnas on the way. Beds were comfortable and clean. We would recommend this Airbnb.

Bangalee would have to be the best appointed house we have stayed in. Karyn has thought of everything down to the kids sized plates and nightlights. Our two families of Nana and Pa, mum, dad and 2 active young children felt it was the perfect place to enjoy each other’s company. We could find a quiet space when needed and the secure back garden was great for outside play. Perfecto.
