Family-friendly holiday rentals in Paço de Arcos

Excellent stay in the heart of Lisbon. Ariane welcomed us in an extremely kind and considerate way to her apartment, despite a later arrival than expected. Everything is done to feel right at home, it lacks neither space nor comfort or equipment. The very central area is ideal for visiting Lisbon, and quiet at night even though it may seem a little less secure than other areas of Lisbon. just note that the stairs are a little steep but as I think all over the old center of Lisbon. Thanks again to Ariane for the wonderful stay.

Great location at the heart of Sintra. The apartment is tastefully decorated and well-furnished. Guest should be aware that there is no parking nearby during day time and that the stairs to the apartment inside the house are very steep.

This is my third time staying here. The flat is extremely convenient, being close to bus stops, a subway station, restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. It is fully equipped with all the necessary furniture and appliances. Thanks to close communication with Jorge, I had a comfortable and worry-free stay this time too. I sincerely appreciate his support and hospitality. I would like to recommend this flat to everyone. I am looking forward to repeating my stay here in the near future.

This is the second time me and my family stayed at Paulo's place because we had an excellent stay the first time around. With young kids its good to know in advance that I'm going to stay at a great place, plenty of space for the the kids to play around and also unbeatable area with super market literally just below, plenty of restaurants and bars, and the beach a less than 10 minute walk. Since I go often to Lisbon to visit family, it is good to know that we have an excellent and reliable place to stay close by.

A super spacious apartment with private parking—it’s simply huge and well-furnished. Located in a good neighborhood, with excellent guest reception. The only thing to note is that planes fly low, but for me, it was actually great to sit on the balcony and watch them pass by.

Great 5 night stay. The venue matched the photos, Sandra was a great host and the venue was comfortable and clean. Lovely swimming pool and the area was safe and quiet for lovely quiet time in the sun.

Patricia’s home is a perfect spot to enjoy Sintra, with two master suites separated by the main living space, it was perfect for me and a pal (or could be for 2 couples) to have our own space. It was walkable to all the sites and the incredible local restaurants steps away. We highly recommend The Nest and would return again if lucky enough to visit this area of Portugal again!

Pedro's flat was clean, large and exactly like pictures and description. Fast internet...at least 200Mbs d/u speed and direct access to router if one needs to plug directly via ethernet. The location in Alfama is very central and is on main road with the 28 trolley running directly in front of the building. The noise from street and trolley is minimal. For those who don't know Lisbon, the city in extremely hilly and Alfama even more, so be aware that you will be walking uphill or up stairs very often if you choose this neighborhood. There is another vacation rental upstairs from the flat and depending on how those guests may walk, there could be noise as it is an older building with wood floors. We were aware of small shower...which is accurate...but the volume/pressure of water and very hot temperatures made the shower better than most. Overall, Pedro's flat is great choice and met all expectations.

It was lovely to meet Judite when she warmly welcomed me at the Airbnb. She and Sara had kindly left fruit, croissants, milk and an array of teas and coffees in the kitchenette which was well equipped and spotless as was the shower room. There was always lots of hot water. The bed was very comfortable and the area was very quiet at night for a good night’s sleep. I enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and sometimes at the table in the room. It was very near the supermarket and a cafe and a short walk to the beach. The train station was also within walking distance. I had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again.

We spent a week at Nuno's flat and had a very comfortable and cosy stay. It was clean, had everything we needed to cook some family meals and provided a cosy environment to rest in after exploring Lisbon. Nuno is very responsive and helpful. We will hopefully be back!

We stayed for the month of February. Everything was perfect for a long stay. Mariana was very helpful. Met us at check in, showed us how everything worked and had lots of local tips to get us started and throughout our stay. The apartment was well laid, nice artwork, furniture comfortable and modern. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen very nice to cook in. Good size for two and easily accommodated three when our daughter joined us for a week. Great location. Easy walk to cafes and restaurants, groceries, historic centre and harbour/beach. Would return in an instant

Everything was great. It was smaller than we expected but it was really cozy and clean. Juan was really helpful and provided us with a lot of useful information about Lisbon.

This place really has a great view. You can see some of Sintras amazing castles from the back yard ( if its not foggy, which is common in this area). The location is very peaceful, great running trails ( lots of hills) and a functional grill. If you have a car it’s always parking available on the street. The house had everything we needed and would definitely come back if we would stay in Sintra again.

Impeccable exterior for this kind of rental, sun, swimming pool, terrace, fireplace-barbecue, house "like at home" with everything you need to live there, well equipped with household electronics, quiet despite the "Portuguese" dogs who often bark at night but almost not in our case, quiet in the neighborhood, the market 100m from the house and supermarkets that are not very far either, my favorite beach (Princesa) 5 minutes by car.

Paula and Anselmo were very sympathetic and hospitable hosts, and we highly recommend their home! Communication was fast and smooth. We received a warm welcome and they told us about the surroundings with shops and restaurants. The area is quiet and we slept well, which was very important as we travelled for a triathlon race in Cascais. Thank you for a thoroughly nice stay Paula and Anselmo!

Mauricio’s house is exceptional – beautiful, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay with friends. We had an amazing time celebrating my friend’s birthday in the villa. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and responsive. Whatever questions we had, they replied us without delay. The facilities are excellent, including the beautiful fireplace in the living room and the additional accommodation options in separate cottages within the property. The villa is in a very safe and secure area. It’s just 15 mins walk away from the beach and a lovely fish restaurant. We had a fantastic time there. Thank you so much Margarida and Joao!

Carole was incredibly friendly and helpful. When we were misdirected, she went out of her way to find us and guide us through the issue. She was welcoming, social, and spoke excellent English, making our stay even more enjoyable. Carole was also very accommodating, ensuring that breakfast options readily available at her B&B. The B&B itself was beautifully decorated with creative touches that made it feel inviting and comfortable. Located in the heart of Sintra’s historic center, it provided easy access to restaurants, shops, and scenic hiking trails leading to the castle and palace on the hill. With flowers in full bloom, the surroundings were lush and breathtaking. It was truly a wonderful place to stay.

We spent a week at 4 at Gonçalo's and everything was perfect. The house and the outside are huge, well equipped and maintained, much prettier than in the photo! The house was very clean and the bedding spotless. Gonçalo came to clean the pool very regularly. A very responsive and friendly host. An absolutely unbeatable value for money. Thank you so much

We had a great stay at Susana’s place. The house is massive and even with 6 adults and 2 children there was plenty of space for everyone and each couple/family could have their own bathroom. The patio is a perfect sun trap and our kids loved the pool and trampoline. The nearby town is about a 15 minute walk and has a small but well stocked supermarket and some good restaurants. We would love to stay again.
