Holiday houses in Overleek, Monnickendam

A good place to stay. We spent a weekend there with 4 adults and 2 dogs. Especially with dogs great, as the property is completely fenced in. The area is quiet, supermarket and beach are accessible by car. The property appealed to us mainly because of the sauna. Overall, we were satisfied, we just lacked a little more attention to detail. Things such as soap, sauna oil, dishwashing cleaners, toilet paper, etc. must be brought with you.

The location directly on the bay is very nice. The accommodation and the associated outdoor area are very cozy, so you can feel really comfortable there. Unfortunately, the sea was almost unseen during our summer vacation. For bathing, shopping and dining, you depend on the car.

I wish I could write more. You will not regret booking your stay with Ben and Mireille. they are the loveliest hosts and will make you feel like family. The chalet itself is amazing, stylish, comfortable, well appointed. Ben and Mireille have put a lot of effort into making their chalet cosy and comfortable, and it is more generously appointed thanany other properties we have stayed at. And it is private and quiet as well. You hear some ducks, but in our view, it adds to the charm of the location! The location is great too, only a short bus ride into Leiden. I would stress that you are not just paying for a stay but an experience. Ben was kind enough to educate us about the working windmill at the property that he takes care of, and trust me, you'll learn a lot. If you are looking for a charming, comfortable location that is convenient in terms of connections as well, then look no further. Good luck to Ben and Mireille for all their future endeavours!

We stayed with 4 adults, two babies and dog at Susan's place. Thanks to the good weather, we were able to spend a lot of time outside, use the barbecue and had plenty of space. Everything was very neat and clean, Susan always responsive. The accommodation is conveniently located, the lake within walking distance, two very nice bars as well. Highly recommended for holidays with a dog!

Super great reception we got everything explained superbly. If you have any questions, we got a quick answer, so just great. We didn't miss everything you need is there. A really great cottage where you can relax. The location is super minutes away is a shop, gas station. We will definitely be back

great host. friendly and concerned about making the stay comfortable. We stopped by for a weekend as a stop on our road trip and the place felt very high end. wide open rooms with comfy beds and pillows and other cool spaces plus a lovely cat 🐈 who is quick to warm up to you. If I was being really harsh it could benefit from a second shower/bath for bigger groups and a bigger driveway but the latter is probably more unique to us have 3 cars for our trip. Also sorting the bins situation in the area was a bit confusing but that's because we care about our waste a lot and don't throw trash in any bin. the area is well maintained and whole neighbourhood is clean.

We visited Andréia for the second time and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The location on the water is fantastic. The apartment is optimally equipped and sparkling clean. You can plan your excursions wonderfully or just sit relaxed by the water and fish. Andréia is such a warm and loving host. I could rave even further here but I think there is no more to say than that we will come back a third time.
