Great space for a mini break. Lots of nice walks within walking distance or longer ones within driving distance, especially surrounding the local pubs. Such a magical garden area, very relaxing. Plenty of space inside, clean and tidy. Lovely evenings spent warming up in the hot tub on the deck. Would definitely book again.

cosy, romantic cottage with hot tub

CarolineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wow! Arlene’s place is just beautiful. She’s a great host and made check in and the stay really easy. The house and garden are amazing, she has thought of everything to make staying at her home perfect. The hot tub is fabulous and we really did enjoy our two nights there and spent lots of time in the tub - it even snowed a little while we were sooo warm and relaxed in the tub! We were looking for rest and relaxation ahead of a busy year and we got that. The house is super comfortable, beautifully decorated and I’d love Arlene to pop round and design my house and garden!! I’d definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

Beautiful location right next to a park, within walking distance to the town center. The place was cozy and clean, exactly as advertised. The kids loved the hot tub as well as watching the ducks in the park. The hosts were welcoming and available to answer any questions as well as offer local recommendations. Overall a wonderful stay.

Peak District village cottage with stunning views

MichaelRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Rosie's place in Youlgreave was beautuiful. The views from the back of the cottage were stunning. So many interesting walks all close and some starting within a short distance of the cottage. From the back of the Cottage everything slopes right down to the River Bradford. Lovely walks along there so close! Nice Pubs in the Village and within easy reach of Bakewell & Chatsworth House & Estate. Rosie's Cottage was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. Lovely & warm. Would not hesitate to recommend this little gem to anybody! The only small problem we had was parking in the Village but there is a parking area at the top of the Village which we found later.

Chatsworth Cottage, Little Longstone

RoseyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Sam and Annie’s place. The cottage is so spacious for two people, and was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. Just down the road from the Monsal Trail, we enjoyed walking into Bakewell and exploring the area. The local pub does great food too! We would happily return. Sam and Annie were always reachable and willing to help with whatever we needed. Thanks again!!

JackRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
A great place to stay, lovely views over the farm and great neighbours (cows and sheep). The place is much larger than we thought we were getting which was a nice surprise! Remember to bring milk and essentials as the closest shop is about 4 miles away.

Really great stay with partner and pooch. Maeve is a fantastic host, very kind, friendly and happy to offer suggestions. The cottage was lovely, really clean, cosy and warm. The guestbook had a lovely personal touch and gave lots of great info about local pubs, restaurants etc. Great location for Mam Tor (fun in the mud in January 😀) and a walk to castleton for food and a pint after!

Traditional Cottage on a Working Hill Farm

JessicaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
You won't find a better place to stay in the Peaks! Cosy house with great rooms, kitchen and snug living space with open fire. Great walks from the house and also so many nearby. It really is in the middle of nowhere which was a highlight, but easy to get to shops within 20 minutes. I would highly recommend this house and would love to come back :)

The Old Toffee Shop

KateRating, 5 stars2 months ago
An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

Rocking Stone Cottage - Idyllic Rural Retreat

PolinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a magical stay. Rachael is a fantastic host who kindly provided us with all the information necessary for the trip, including all the nearby points of interest, walks and restaurants and much more. She is most welcoming and we felt right at home. The cottage was stunning in every detail and comfortable and a Christmas tree gave so much atmosphere. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and views and is a great getaway from the city life as well. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely love to come back.

Black Cat Cottage in lovely Wildboarclough

AnnemiekeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had an unforgettable week at the Black Cat Cottage. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and made a couple of great walks starting right from the doorstep. We had lots of snow, some really nice sunny days and the grand final: storm Bert. Under all circumstances, the cottage was a warm and welcoming place to come home to. The cottage is close to the farm, but is still very private. Chris was very friendly, helpful and relaxed, also under all circumstances. Hera and Hector were very, very sweet, and we loved Hera’s antics in the snow. In short: we highly recommend this lovely place if you want to get away from it all! Some friendly (November) tips: Bring enough food, just in case of snow and road closures Dry and clean firewood is available at a nearby gas station in the direction of Buxton. And yes, you really do need a 4x4 to get to or from the cottage in snowy and icy conditions 😉

West Croft, the Relaxing, Quiet, Homely Cottage.

LouiseRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our party of 3 couples really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, comfortable cottage. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped and the lounge very cosy, with enough comfy seating for us all. Youlgreave is a beautiful village with many options for walks directly from the house. Communication with Simon and Jen was excellent and we would definitely recommend their cottage as a great base from which to explore this beautiful area.

Our second trip to this beautiful cottage. Helen is friendly and communicative. The cottage is the house you aspire to have but could never achieve in your own home. It’s the perfect holiday cottage. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated throughout. We enjoyed our relaxing weekend. It is well positioned in Bakewell within walkable distance to the centre of town. We definitely recommend.

Amazing cozy place, only stopped overnight but could happily have spent longer, everything was spotless, Nice homely touches and plenty of space to relax with comfy sofa and chair, kitchen very well equipped, spacious bathroom excellent shower in large cubicle. Very comfortable bed in large bedroom. Garden area looked lovely though weather wasn’t great so didn’t go out. The cottage was tucked away off the high street but was very private and a bit of a wow factor when we opened the gate!

Delightful old stone cottage

MelanieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Headlands Fold is a lovely cosy old cottage in a beautiful village. Rod the owner was helpful and welcoming. The cottage has everything you would need, it is very comfortable with some low doorways to watch out for, if you are tall. The beds were comfy. There was a welcome bottle of wine, milk and biscuits. It is a quiet spot with walks straight from the door. There are two great pubs with open fires serving food in the village and a community owned shop. There were three of us and it was a good size for us. Any more and it would be tricky to deal with wet coats and boots. My husband and I would definitely stay again.

The Cottage was very well stocked, clean, comfortable and with a fantastic shower/bath. All in all highly recommended.
