Chalet holiday rentals in Ormont-Dessous

A very cosy stay in a welcoming chalet with great views. We felt we were staying at a friends family home in a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of amenities in the chalet. The chalet is charming and traditional.

Vincent’s chalet is very special - it’s located close to the main house, but very private. There are great hiking trails right in the back yard. The view of the Alps from the backyard is more than enough to enjoy every morning and evening. Architecturally, the chalet is noteworthy - the renovation was executed flawlessly, keeping many original details. At night, you can hear the babbling stream in the backyard. It’s removed, but only 15 mins from Chamonix. We were thrilled with our stay and would love to return sometime.

We had a wonderful weekend at Séverine's cottage. Perfect blend of Swiss charm and modern comfort, it is located in a beautiful natural setting. The terrace offers spectacular views, and the interior is warm and decorated with care. Séverine was an exceptional host, attentive to every detail. Ideal place to relax in peace. Recommended without hesitation!

A word ...Awesome!! Perfect stay, very warm chalet very well decorated mountain style. The rooms are spacious with good bedding. Completely compliant with photos or description. Excellent amenities!! nothing missing. After a day of skiing the wood stove + the hammam are very relaxing . No negative points.

For skiers and snowboarders, it’s a dream, with easy access to all the major mountain ranges. What truly made our stay special was the host. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, ensuring we had everything we needed. I can’t recommend this place enough—whether you're here for adventure or relaxation, it’s the perfect choice for anyone visiting the area!

Beautiful peaceful home. We visited with our toddler who loved being able to set off on an adventure from the front door. Super clean and thoughtful decorations which were stylist but minimalist to add to the relaxing vibe of the house. And toddler safe! Hot tube and sauna in amazing condition. Great additions with snow shoes & sledges. Fondue and Raclette Set. Host was quick to answer our emails before we arrived and amazing check in experience! On another day we walked back to the car and it was completely manageable with a toddler.

Comfortable accommodation, very accessible, close to the center of the village and close to a shuttle stop for skiing. Quiet and very nice view of the Val d 'Anniviers and the peaks of the imperial crown. Gilbert's instructions and his responsiveness are very much appreciated. Perfect place to stay for 2 families as was our case.

The listing was exactly as described and had all the amenities they needed. The check-in instructions were clear but we still strayed when we arrived by taking a very steep and snowy road pushing us to turn around and ask for our way... once the path was found we no longer encountered any difficulties and our arrival was perfect. Unfortunately, snow wasn't there but the proximity to many ski resorts allowed us to quickly find the long-awaited winter! A place that we highly recommend for its quality, cleanliness, the many linens available and the instructions given!

Warren and his home were the perfect place for my friends and me to experience Chamonix. He was incredibly helpful with our planning and had great recommendations for local restaurants. The home is in an ideal location, walking distance to downtown and right in front of a bus stop that takes you to all the mountains. 5 out of 5 can’t recommend it enough!

Beautiful stay in Delphine's chalet. Excellent communication and availability to meet all of our expectations. Very comfortable, great view, easy to access and 5" from the Princess's gondola. Ideal for families with children. We highly recommend it.

Jon’s place was beautiful — great views and all of us were very comfortable. The sweet town of Argentière was very walkable, which was super nice as well. I believe it may actually be a ski in/ski out if there was more snow snow once you get to the trails, but we found ourselves walking about 20 minutes to the closest lift. We didn’t get the catered package, which is what they prefer and encourage. We did have a bespoke meal from one of their chefs which was absolutely delicious and would recommend. I loved waking up with I our amazing view of Grand Montet and felt like the chalet was a very special find. Many thanks Jon and team!

The Chalet is spacious and cosy. We very much enjoyed the terrace and the jacuzzi while the ski room was extremely convinient. Overall a great place for a family ski vacation.

Just got back from great trip to Chamonix. Steven's place was perfect, lots of room for us all. The hot tub was a great addition for relaxing after long days in the mountains. Iwona, the host is a superstar and was able to answer questions throughout our stay. House is a 30 mins walk to town or very short ride, we caught the train in and walked home one night was was very doable. thanks for a great stay

Great location! The place is beautiful! It was ideal for a couple with a child. Hélène and Quentin were very responsive to our requests. Thanks again for our stay!

We really enjoyed staying at the Chalet. We went skiing at Portes du Soleil which is a very large skiable area connecting 10 ski villages including 4 in Switzerland. The Ardent lift is just a few minutes drive down the road and you can buy lift tickets at the lift. If you don’t have a car or if you don’t want to drive it, there are free shuttle buses (at least in winter) that go around the area. And for sure to the Ardent lift(gondola). Lake Montroid is beautiful and the views don’t get old! The Chalet has great views. I used the sauna and even did a cold plunge in the fountain. It makes you feel alive. We ate at the restaurant at Hotel du Lac and had a delicious dinner. and we recommend going into Morzine and trying the French pastries at La Bonbonniere (a highly rated bakery) The hike up the mountain to the chalet does take effort, but it is worth it. I wasn’t looking forward to that hike after the second day of skiing, but other times were fine. A small waterfall is on the path.

Charming accommodation in a great location. Everything you need is available. Ideal for relaxing and switching off. The region offers many opportunities for excursions, activities, walking and eating. Pleasant camping with friendly residents and helpful staff. Ideal for us as a family with two children! We also enjoyed the proximity to the lake to the fullest. Franziska was accessible throughout and supportive in all matters. Excellent! It was great, thanks a lot.

We had a lovely stay at the apartment proposed by Jérôme and Laëtitia. Conveniently located, bright, clean and well appointed. There is good storage space which is very nice. The terrace is lovely. Direct access to the parking spot which is really very convenient. Responsiveness and sympathy of the hosts. I would highly recommend it!
