Can't reccomend this place enough! We were lucky enough to pick up a last minute booking and we feel incredibly lucky. Such a lovely place to reset and reflect. If you aren't sure, just book it. We would have happily stayed longer than our two nights. Don't hesitate, if it's available, you should book!

Fiona's place was exactly what we needed for a quick two-night stay while attending a family funeral. While we didn't use all the amenities as we weren't there for a relaxing holiday, we could see it's a great place for just that. The beds were comfortable, and the linens were clean, so we all slept well. Thank you for having an iron and ironing board, too! We loved the hammock in the garden and the instant access to the trail along the riverbank.

We had a fantastic stay with our pup. Mark was a brilliant host and very accommodating. No issue for us but it is located on a busy road. However, the property is elevated and private and has off street parking. Also has a well fenced and maintained yard. Easy flat walk to restaurants, cafes, children’s playground and beach. Would love to come back again!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The place is located on a elevated spot above Whakatane with breathtaking views! Lorraine was extremely accommodating and making us feel like home! The place is very spacious with more than enough space for our group of six adults and two kids - they even had a kids toy box! Thank you!

Perfect - a delightful, spacious cottage in a beautiful garden. Everything you need and it was immaculate. A short walk into town and a short drive to gorgeous beaches. Gilbert and Sue couldn't have been better hosts and we'd 100% recommend here.

Very clean and spacious Kiwi Bach. Everything what you need is there. Walk to the beach about 4 min across the street. Free parking behind the Bach next to the entrance. Great Location to spend beach holidays. Janet has been a very communicative friendly host. Very helpful. We felt very comfy during our stay and would love to come back. If your after Rest & Relaxation this place is for you, luxurious accommodation couldn't fault it, and watching the ever changing tides is fantastic. Glenda had so many treats and food it was amazing. Glenda and Brian are fantastic hosts, nothing was any trouble, we loved talking to them both of them. I would highly recommend staying here at Beach Haven, you won't be disappointed.

We had a great stay at Sonia's place. The house was comfortable and clean, and walking distance to Lake Rotoiti. We enjoyed all the animals, a highlight was collecting a couple eggs from the coop. Thanks for having us, will defo stay again.

Stunning location, right on the beach front with incredible views and the sound of the ocean on your doorstep. The views and location exceeded expectations. The house is nicely renovated and perfectly setup for a relaxing time away. We were extremely happy with the home and wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at Wades place over the xmas and new year period. The bach had enough space for us to host a Christmas day for our large family, not to mention the beach directly across the road where swimming was patrolled daily. The view of the beach and surrounding islands, sunsets and sunrises from the upstairs level is absolutely amazing. The house is clean and tidy and is well equipped with everything you would need. Wade is amazing to deal with and very accommodating to special requests. If you want a good kiwi holiday by the beach, this is the place to do it!! I will definitely stay here again.

Very spacious house, right on lake edge, beautiful view. Easy to tie boat at jetty. Very Clean. Games etc for the kids much appreciated. Easy to access. Delwyn was helpful and quick to answer any queries. Road noise at night a bit bothersome, but didn't deter from the wonderful weekend we had.

Sue's Airbnb was spot on the best. Very well planned home, artistically maintained with pristine cleanliness. Best linen, cutlery, amenities and hygiene. Their deck and open space looking into the beach is the best top notch Resort-Like experience. There something about the house - Very soothing and calm.

Stunning views and a beautiful property. Came with family for a little weekend holiday and we really relaxed and enjoyed our stay. The house is so well laid out and designed, each bedroom has its own en suite and everyone had their own space to relax. While the weather was not as hot and sunny as we had hoped we still used the pool and spa and also enjoyed the game room. Great place to unwind and relax with family or friends!

This was a great place to crash for a week while we explored Whakatāne and Ohope. Easy, quick beach access. Close to a fun park and just up the road from a surfing spot. Close to hikes and a good market nearby. Good kitchen. Comfortable beds. Fun ping pong table and space to store our bikes.

A comfortable, compact apartment, perfect as a base for a worker. Was welcomed by Paul and given a tour, he and Leigh were friendly and always available to help/ chat / lend their dog for walks on the beach !! Lots of small details have been thought of. I particularly appreciated the well kitted out kitchen. The beach is visible from the kitchen window and accessible by walking down the driveway.

Perfection…in every way. Great communication and Paul was very responsive and accommodating. The place was a slice of heaven and we will definitely be using it every time we travel to Whakatane. Super close to town, with 180 degree ocean views and very respectful quiet neighbours. 10/10 for anyone looking for an amazing place to relax and unwind. Thanks Paul & Nikita and your lovely pet goat Balaagi.
