House holiday rentals in Old Town, San Diego

Vanessa was very communicative & answered any questions right away. The location is PERFECT! A short walk to the beach. The house had so much for our kiddos to do & was fully equipped! Definitely kid friendly. The kitchen had everything you could need! The pool and hot tub were beautiful & clean! The downfall to the hot tub, is you have to turn it on an hour before you use it each time. I believe it’s new so they’re still working out some kinks with the buttons. Vanessa was helpful with this though. There are also apartment complexes that look down into the yard, so not much privacy. I would rate this a 5, but there are a few cons. We had 8 people in our group, 3 being children. Thankfully we were all family so we snuggled in, but I think it’s more like a 6 person house or you are on small cots. You’re kind of on top of each other. The floors are creaky so no sleeping in once someone is awake & the furniture could use some updating. It was torn. Overall the location makes it 5 stars

My group had an amazing time in KC’s home. It was gorgeous and very comfortable accommodations. KC was responsive and helpful whenever I needed to reach him. The kitchen was well equipped and the house in general had luxurious upgrades. The neighborhood was quiet and spacious for California. My group had 4 cars and the driveway fit everyone comfortably. No one was blocking anyone in. The master shower is a dream with two shower heads. The adhesive on the wall to maintain the door in place kept falling due to humidity but we simple just rubbed it back in place a few times a day. The 4th bedroom off the kitchen is smaller than the others and has a sliding door with glass portions so it’s not private. This was the only thing we wished was disclosed prior to staying since we had couples in each room and would’ve preferred everyone have equal privacy. Other than that we would absolutely stay in KC’s home again when visiting the SD area.

We had a great stay! Ann was quick to reply, the instructions were clear, and the place was great. Clean, plenty of space, and close to coffee and restaurants. Definitely recommend!

We were very grateful to be able to stay for a few days in San Diego. This home was very clean and very cool. My daughter thought it was the fanciest place we had ever stayed :) we loved the heated pool, walking around the neighborhood, and there are many great restaurants and cafes close by. We went with two small kids and while it has more of a fun bachelor pad vibe we had an incredibly fun and relaxing stay.

Lacee’s house was absolutely perfect for a weekend celebrating my father’s 90th birthday. It is a very beautiful, comfortable home, with plenty of room. Lacee generously allowed us to have family members over for an afternoon/evening dinner to celebrate my dad, and the living room and dining room were perfect to host everyone. It was an incredibly special weekend we will all remember, and Lacee’s house (including kitchen amenities) and flexibility made it possible!

Beautiful home. It was a quiet private neighborhood near a lot of great restaurants and shopping centers I do super highly recommend staying here we had a blast and they go above and beyond to satisfy our needs and replied super fast! Thank you and we will for sure reserve in the future

Our family and friends had a wonderful stay at Bryan’s home! Overall, we really enjoyed our time there, and the backyard deserves a special mention—it’s absolutely amazing. That said, I do have a few minor suggestions. The towels seemed a bit old and not very fresh. We also found there weren’t enough cups and glasses in the kitchen for a group of 8, and some of the kitchen utensils were broken or unusable. Additionally, the owner keeps a boat and trailer in the front yard, which might be something to note for future guests. These are small and easily fixable details, and they didn’t take away from the overall experience. We had a great time at the house and especially loved the backyard—it made our vacation truly memorable!

Our hosts were welcoming and very helpful. The descriptions and instructions were clear and easy to understand. The house was very light and bright. It was spacious and clean. Everything was exactly as described. We ate lunches out and cooked dinners in and enjoyed the ability to use the grill and enjoy the patio. Our hosts were incredibly responsive! We had a small issue with a smoke alarm and Michael came that day and replaced it within an hour. Then he stayed to chat and offered recommendations on many local adventures (Cabrillo State Park and Point Loma Lighthouse, La Jolla Cove and Cave) and restaurants. One note which is made clear in the instructions involves the garage. We had a larger car (SUV type) and I highly recommend a party to guide the driver while parking in the garage. The car fit nicely in the garage but the alley is a tight space for navigating. We will definitely be back and look forward to more San Diego adventures! Thank you Michael and Lily!

We loved our first time staying in Ocean Beach. We were comfortable in our cottage and the hosts were very communicative and clear. The beautiful garden and hot tub were our favorites. There are lots of wonderful restaurants, coffee shops and stores in walking distance. Really great base for enjoying San Diego.

Me and my family had a great stay at Andrew’s apartment! The large patio is a huge plus. If you like peace and quite at night it really and mean really is quite after 10pm, near where the apartment is. And location is on spot as well, you have 2 beaches in either side of you in a walking distance, one is on the bay and the is facing the ocean. I would recommend anyone to stay at Andrew’s place!

Don is an excellent host and is very proactive and responsive during the stay

That was a nice place to stay quiet. Everything went good. The place is clean everything you need is nearby, especially in the mall and therestaurant and Olive Garden our family have a good time and San Diego. See you next time

Charming little Cottage in a perfect, downtown La Jolla location. Walk to anything. La Jolla Cove and beaches. Grocery store and restaurants all in walking distance.

Great stay in San Diego! The home was exactly as listed in the photos - kitchen & living room were nice and spacious. Good location with quick access to food and things to do. Communication with host was also easy. Overall would recommend for your next trip to the area!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! The place was completely accommodating as everything we could possibly think of was already provided! We were given tons of privacy and really loved the location, although January may not be the prime time for availability for all things. It was nice to get away anyway! We also stayed with kids and everyone was totally comfortable! Our youngest wanted to stay for “60 more days!”

Great place! We enjoyed using the bikes along the beach, and the location was super.

I needed to relax for a getaway weekend from work so I booked this place. First of all, Zapher is an awesome host, very responsive. The location is very peaceful and quiet which is everything I needed. The hot tub was super clean as were the beds and the entire house. There is an insanely huge garden that is so neatly arranged where I had the best time reading a book. I'm looking forward for another getaway soon at this location. Such an awesome place.

the house is beautiful! response time was great and friendly by the host! the driveway is very steep and tight, wasn't prepared for that. neighborhood looks run down but was very quiet. no extra parking. neighbors used all the street parking. overall we loved our stay and would definitely stay again.
