This house balances modern updates with the charm of a historic home. The location is excellent. Beds are comfortable and the heaters work great even on cold days (they worked so well that we ended up turning them off or down at times ). We really enjoyed our stay, and would come back again.

Bruce is responsive and keeps an excellent property. We needed a place to rest our heads for a few days after hunting. We got that and then some! This is our second stay at the Hilltop Hideaway and are already planning for next year! I’d like to specifically note that there was an extremely minor “issue” (missing TV remote). Bruce told us about the issue before we even checked in and delivered a replacement on our second night. The TV was easily useable before the delivery of the remote by an app on my phone. Thanks Bruce for another great stay!

Donna’s was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. She met us when we arrived and provided a few directional details. Once inside the over all feel immediately was homey. Donna had a wide array of little TLC extras - from coffee and breakfast items to snacks and sweet treats. Very well stocked in all areas. The peacefulness was unmatched. Convenience store just down the street as well as a very yummy bakery. If you need anything Donna has you covered. Truly enjoyed our stay immensely. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends. Thanks Donna

Modern amenities, very well stocked, comfortable bed, quiet and safe . The views are outstanding, rolling hills of farmed fields ( we didn’t see much live stock) lovely fresh air and breezes. The night sky was clear ( no light pollution) excellent star gazing. Full views of sunrises and sunsets. There is a very informative map of local amenities in the welcome folder, which was very helpful. Erin was quick to answer any questions we had . It is a lovely home and we hope to stay there again.

Great place to stay with a large group! Each room has a bathroom or toilet room. Lots of space in common areas to hang out, play games, catch up with friends. Easy access to snowmobile trails.

Mike and Carrie are truly nice people. Very down to earth and easily accessible. The building is very open yet cozy and has everything you need in the kitchen. We walked into the building and on the table was a welcome gift of snacks and cookies! How cool!! Communication was very responsive and helpful. They gave us the perfect place to hunt moose and we got one within the first half hour of opening day! Not surprising that they know the area well! My boys and I had a nice relaxing visit to Eagle Lake and plan to go back in January for ice fishing season!
