Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Northland

My family and I would absolutely be back to Waiwera, the house was really well set up as a beach house for a family with young kids, really close to the beach, and eating out on the patio was a highlight.

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, look no further. The views from this spot were incredible, and the house itself has everything you could want and more. I wish we could've spent more time there!

Great place to stay, central in Mangawhai Heads, walking distance from town shops. Happy to book here again.

We had an amazing time during our stay! The surroundings were absolutely stunning, making it the perfect escape. It’s truly a fantastic spot for larger groups looking to create unforgettable memories together.

Stunning week away over Easter. We arrived a few hours after a cyclone, which meant no power and water. Anneke was great with all communication about the situation. We chose to stay hoping the power would be back on soon. The next day it was. Meanwhile, Anneke bought us wine and coffee and then arranged a generator so we could shower and charge phones etc. Then we had six glorious days of sunshine with the odd shower. We love walking, so explored all the local walks in the booklets and info guide. Every afternoon we relaxed on the deck just watching the ocean and boats. We ended our days with an outdoor bath, which was Devine. Anneke was a wonderful host. A true legend. The Bach was beautiful, clean, new and private. Highly recommend.

Went away for some R and R and it was the perfect spot. Was absolutely fantastic.

This is a an awesome house for groups. There was a cyclone when we visited and the host was so kind and helpful. It has so many games and things for the kids to do! Poor table and darts for the adults and table tennis table for the kids was definitely a God send on those very stormy days. It is the most peaceful setting and we loved the spa pool. We enjoyed our stay so much, as the house is equipped for entertaining. Thanks to the host for helping us out with extra things during the storm! Much appreciated.

Nice spot sti stay to break up the trip to the light house Cale Reinga. Spotless kitchen and a well-maintained house overall, making it a comfortable stay. The stunning view add to the experience. Communication with the Wendy is quick & clear. The hot tub is a fantastic touch, clean and perfect for relaxation.

We thoroughly loved our stay at this luxurious villa. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for that something special! Joe and Robert were very welcoming and gave us some good local tips for the area.

We had the best stay. My kids loved the pool and spa . Fay's place has everything you need Even came and checked the pool for us . I would highly recommend staying here especially if you are looking for some peace and quiet from city life.

I cannot say enough about how beautiful Gill's home is. The surroundings are so beautiful, short drive into town where you can find everything your looking for. Gill is such a wonderful and kind host, if you have a chance to visit her home, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making my son's wedding so special, so lucky to have met such a amazing woman.

The place is amazing, very large living area with many very clean and decently spaced rooms. I wasn’t aware of the 5-10 minute gravel road the house is on. Daniel was amazing at communicating when I need to get in touch with him however the packing up procedure could have been outlined better, but other than that the four informative emails sent outlined everything needed for our stay. The view is just as amazing in person as the photos both sunrise and sunset, especially lounging in the spa.

Beautiful, peaceful location. House was spotless and had everything you needed. Multiple outside zones to enjoy the nature and water views. Super private and only a 7 min drive to the heart of Russell.

This house is absolutely stunning. It sits on a private beach with magnificent sea views and a big deck looking out over the ocean. It’s surrounded by native bush, loads of birds and a feeling of privacy & serenity. The ocean-facing doors and windows all open up so it has a wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. There’s a lovely hot tub with a sea view too! Downstairs, there are the living spaces and upstairs, the bedrooms. The bedrooms are lovely - three large rooms with double (maybe queen or king??) beds, as well as two ‘kids rooms’ with twin beds and/or bunks. Two of the larger double rooms have private balconies & ensuites. It’s a beautiful & delightful house. Very well appointed. Perfect for a larger group, close to Matakana, Omaha and all of the lovely things to do there. We’ll be back! Thank you very much Rosie ❤️ The kitchen is large and well appointed, with a big gas stove & oven.

Great stay and not too far from mangawhai. The spa is a nice touch and the interior has that classic nz-bach aesthetic whilst still feeling modern. The kitchen is well-stocked for utensils and would comfortably fit four guests. There is a private dining cabin for up to 12 people on site that should be available soon. It will have an in house chef and would be a unique experience for those wanting to host a special dinner

What an amazing little cottage on the water to relax and enjoy New Zealand's beauty! Perfect little spot to catch up with nature and see so many species of birds all around. The cottage even had fresh picked flowers when we arrived to make it even more magical. We can not wait to return to the cottage on our next trip back to New Zealand. The host Anna was wonderful and very responsive our entire stay! She helped us out and checked in on us during our stay to see if we needed anything. Thank you so much Anna, you were amazing.

We had the most relaxing stay in this beautiful cabin. Rebekah was a friendly and responsive host. The cabin had everything we needed and is so thoughtfully designed. Our highlights were having a bath under the stars and feeding the chickens! Definitely would recommend this stay if you're looking to disconnect and relax.

Linda was friendly, helpful & a great host, allowing us to arrive early on short notice & kindly offering a few extra hours on our last day. We enjoyed the stay very much w the serene private backyard & outdoor bath. Great access to the township & local pub just a stroll out the backgate! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Tonia’s cabin! It was so relaxing, we even heard some kiwi. I would definitely recommend staying here if you need a good place to relax. We ate slow cooked stew and stayed cozy & warm inside while it is stormy out. Such a great stay. Thankyou Tonia 😁

Absolutely stunning! Would love to stay again. Leah and Jan were very prompt at replying and very flexible with our arrival as we chopped and changed our plans last minute. Google maps takes you right to the driveway and we had no problems driving up the gravel hill in a Hyundai i30. This place is GORGEOUS. The view from the cottage and the BBQ area is amazing. We had a full moon and sat out on the deck watching the moon, and listening to lots of kiwi’s nearby! During the day we sat and read our books in the sun. We also loved the bath and the pizza oven. They’ve thought of everything and pay a lot of attention to detail. I was impressed that not even the outdoor areas had any spider webs - so clean and tidy! The bed was very comfy and we had a wonderful sleep each night. Serene!

Incredible! We absolutely loved our stay at the lodge. The views were beautiful, and it was so peaceful. We were fortunate to have clear skies on our first night, and had an amazing view of the stars. A little bit difficult to get around i.e to the beach and lighthouse etc however we made the most of relaxing, and would definitely return.

Kauri Lodge was a beautiful, peaceful stay for the 2 nights we stayed. As soon as you walk in the room was cozy and warm with a comfortable living area and beautiful views from the inside out. We loved having the spa to relax and the bbq to do outdoor cooking as well as the books about the areas history. Definitely would love to return again!
