Ashley and Simon’s cottage was such a lovely place to stay for me and my partner. The space was really well equipped with everything we could have needed and more. The hot tub outside offered a luxury relaxation spot where we could unwind every day. Located on a farm, we loved seeing the dogs running about as well as the black cat which helped us unpack our bags 😂. We have recommended this place to our friends, and are also interested in staying in the larger cottage on site ‘the Lodge’ with some friends in the near future. Thank you for making our stay so memorable 😄

The Studio was brilliant! It has absolutely everything you could need and was very well equipped! The views are stunning and the whole place felt extremely calm and peaceful. We enjoyed waking up to the views on the rolling hills and the dog very much enjoyed the fenced in garden! Our stay was very much to relax and recharge which we thoroughly enjoyed! We will defiantly be back!! Thank you!

I booked here for my partners 27th birthday, we took both of our doggies too and as soon as we walked in we felt instantly at home! The cottage was lovely and warm, very spacious and modern! The hot tub was out of this world! We really didn't want to leave. The views of the river and easily accessible for walks etc. The cottage had everything we needed and more, it really was the perfect start to the year, Becca and Chris were great hosts very friendly and responded to our queries quickly! Wonderful, wonderful stay for my family of four (two little ones). There aren’t enough characters available for me to express how great this place is! The pics don’t do it justice!! Staying at Susan and Phil’s place felt like staying at family’s. They’ve thought of everything. The house has been thoughtfully constructed and decorated with taste and personality. The guidebook and instructions for everything in the house is the best I’ve seen. They have everything you could need for a comfortable stay, especially with kids. They even have toys. My toddler enjoyed helping feed the hens and sheep. The sunrises will bowl you over. The property is stunning. They had a welcome basket waiting for us that warmed our hearts and bellies— the fresh eggs were fabulous!! If you’re looking for a rental cottage that has heart and soul, this is it— stop hunting around and book The Old Piggery!

We had the most wonderful stay on the farm at East Rose Cottage. The cottage is lovely and cozy with amazing views of the chickens, goats and alpacas. The wood-fired hot tub is a great addition to the cottage. The fresh eggs were such a treat and we were kindly given some wine and chocolate upon arrival alongside some carrots to feed the alpacas! Debbie and Paul are fantastic hosts and nothing is an issue for them. We were so lucky to be able to bottle feed the baby alpacas which was an amazing experience. Make sure to book onto the Alpaca walk and talk during your say, this is not to be missed! Such a unique place to stay and easy to access. Very close to local shops and the city while being remote enough to feel away from the busyness of everything, a very peaceful and relaxing location. An absolutely amazing New Years stay.

We had a fab time at Stanley cottage. The accommodation is quirky & every inch of space is effectively used. The hot tub was easy to use & stayed hot for hours. The place was spotless when we arrived & Ben had even left us some milk & bread to get us started. Ben is an extremely responsive host, very friendly & always on hand to help. Before check in I had all the instructions I needed for a great stay. I would definitely recommend Stanley cottage

We had the most wonderful stay! Angela’s cottage is beautiful, a relaxing setting with lots to do not far away. Angela was helpful from the time of booking and looked after us so well whilst we were there. This is a gem of a place with a fantastic host.

Fantastic cosy yet spacious cottage, a perfect base to explore Northumberland. The cottage is very well equipped and beautifully presented. The garden is lovely and the outdoor seating area is great. The fire has been perfect for snuggling up on chilly evenings. We will definitely be back ,thank you for a very relaxing break .

Amazing from start to finish. Philippa is the perfect host - we stayed with our children and forgot our stroller 🙈 she kindly left us one to use during her stay. The cottage was lovely and clean, everything there you needed! Comfy bed and very spacious! Views were stunning - a real treat waking up to the Northumberland countryside.

We’ve had a lovely short stay. Came for our 1st wedding anniversary child free, this will be our last anniversary as a mum and dad to 2 as we will be celebrating our 3rd baby in July. It was a nice quiet area and lovely surroundings. The cottage had everything you’d need, even down to milk in the fridge for our cuppa when we arrived. Lovely log burner, large smart tv and a nice big bed for comfort! Only one small issue we had was I think that there is maybe a part of someone’s house up above where we stayed and the floorboards are quite noisy when people walk along them, so did wake me a couple of times - but I am a light sleeper so can’t be helped. Had a lovely time regardless.

Absolutely loved our little weekend break. Felt like home away from home, it was cosy, friendly and plenty of things to do. Diane was a great host and provided so much suggestions for things to do/places to eat etc. Would highly recommend and we would 100% stay here again.

A beautiful place to stay inside and out. The views were breathtaking! Our little dogs loved playing in the garden which was well fenced (even our mischievous Westie couldn’t find a way to escape!) The fire was such a nice touch, we loved having fires each day. Wood was supplied if you didn’t use the heating which was great! Coming from a city we don’t have a fire so happy to not use the heating! Kate was so responsive and really friendly. We even had some fresh eggs from her hens which was so lovely. We were thrilled to see the property in snow on our last night/day it really just rounded off our stay perfectly! If you are thinking about booking..do it! Also the shower is great! (Always something I judge! Haha) Can’t wait to rebook!❤️

We had an amazing stay at Mary’s cottage. The Cottage was super cozy with everything and more that we needed. Lovely and clean with clear instructions and the best bit is the wood fire in the living room. Made the stay extra special. Great if you want lots of peace and quiet and a base to go exploring the surrounding area as we did. Highly recommended and will be staying again in the future.

Had a great stay and would definitely recommend. Really helpful directions and information from the host and a nice and cosy house in a quiet street. Had a lovely walk along the front to the maritime museum and cafe.

The Smithy is a wonderful country retreat. This family home has been restored beautifully and has that home -from-home feel as soon as you arrive. We were welcomed not only with a fully-equipped clean and all mod cons place to stay but also a cottage thoughtfully decorated for Christmas by Rhona. It was therefore the perfect destination for us as we visited our family during this festive season. I would definitely recommend this home stay and I do hope we get another chance to stay here. Rupert is a really lovely, positive and friendly host along with his lovely wife. It felt like nothing would be too much trouble. The cottage was perfect for us; warm, cosy and romantic with a lovely view. Our dog Nellie 🐕 had a wonderful time too. She enjoyed watching all the birds in the lovely enclosed garden. We'd love to come back one day 😃.

Fraser Cottage is in a great location and with easy access to pretty much everything locally (on foot) and more widely (public transport). The cottage is well appointed and equipped, plus it’s spacious. We had a great Christmas and much appreciated having the Christmas decorations up for us in the cottage. Thanks

Fantastic holiday in a stunning location. Eildon was super-helpful and arriving to hone-baked cakes after a long trip was wonderful. The cottage was perfect for us and it is tucked into the most beautiful valley with stunning walks from the door. In addition, there are loads of beautiful beaches and castles etc all within easy reach by car. Thank you so much!
