Holiday rentals with a kayak in Nipissing District

We had a great stay, very beautiful area. We originally found it difficult to locate with our GPS taking us to the wrong location. However, that was our own mistake missing this detail in the listing as the hosts did mention this and described how to best locate the location. Hosts were quick to communicate with us when we got a bit mixed up in our directions. We did not realize that the Air BNB was located at a marina, but a visit in the fall was very peaceful and quiet. The fall colours were beautiful. Spacious and clean accommodations for a good price.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Our family really enjoyed our time at this beautiful cabin! Check in was quick and easy and Jadey was extremely responsive to messages. Communication was great from arrival to departure. While we did not have access to the wifi, these things happen and we understood. A storm that blew in the day prior caused some issues which didn’t affect our enjoyment and it was a good opportunity to “unplug”. Included availability of the Kayaks, canoes, and water bike was a great way to explore. Excellent location for young families looking to spend relaxing days on the clear and shallow beach with the kids. We also took advantage of the basketball net and tennis court on the cooler days. Overall we had a great stay at Sunset Cove and have no doubt we will return again in the future! Thank you Jadey and Jack.

The place was as described and the host made sure to check in with us via email before, during and after our stay. The home was clean and exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for helping us make our few days away as relaxing as we had hoped.

Derek's place gave a perfect ending to our summer vacation! Very family friendly with all the features just as described, and even more (go explore around!). In addition to other good reviews, always fast respond and so nice to offer some supplies we forgot to put in the luggage; surprisingly we found some chopsticks in the kitchen which is really considerate! Definitely recommend Derek's lovely place ❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lorie's cottage! The cottage was incredibly clean and well-stocked with everything we needed and more. Despite the first two days being cold and rainy, we had a fantastic time indoors, spending quality time with our kids playing board games and doing puzzles. Once the weather improved, we took full advantage of the lake. The water was warm and perfect for swimming, and we loved having access to kayaks, a pedal boat, and paddle boards. It's the ideal place for a peaceful escape, and we would highly recommend Lorie's cottage to anyone looking for a quiet retreat.

This Lake Nipissing rental was very much what we were looking for to do an ice fishing outing for 6 mostly retired guys – it was almost directly in from Lonely Island (about 1.5k walk). The actual cottage is very large, and it was nice having 2 ½ baths. The kitchen is very big with a huge island that also works as a pub height dinning area and there are tons of cabinets with all of the kitchen utensils/accessories you’ll need to make great meals. There are a few rough areas, which comes from a lot of use (e.g., trim work, a few chips, dents and worn chairs, shower heads, etc.), but for a northern cottage rental I would say it would be 4 to 4.5 stars and for an ice fishing choice I must give it 5 stars. I will very much consider this location again if we decide to do another ice fishing trip to this location again in the future and if you were doing a non-winter trip, I’m sure this location would be a perfect area with boat access and placement on the water for a large family outing.

Our family had a great stay at Lucy and Will's property. It was an exceptionally snowy winter weekend while we were there, and she was kind enough to be flexible when we wanted to change our arrival and departure times to avoid the worst of the road conditions. The kitchen is nice and everything was fully functional. The only thing that we couldn't figure out how to use was the gas fireplace. The location is convenient to Arrowhead Provincial Park. The cottage is spacious and can host two small families comfortably. The kids had a great time playing in the snow and in the garage, even if it was quite cold at times. Thank you for the stay!

The cottage was lovely - had everything available, from kitchen supplies (+), outdoor activities (kayak, canoe, paddle boards, peddle boat, ladder ball, croquet, etc), and lots of movies & books! You can never be bored here or feel like you're missing something. I loved that everything was labelled and organized, so you could always find everything you need. The location is so beautiful and peaceful, and right on the water. My family and I had an amazing time and would come back again! Thank you!!

The cottage was an ideal fall retreat. With plenty of firewood provided, we stayed cozy through chilly nights, and the clean barbecue made outdoor meals easy. The lake was calm and beautiful, and we enjoyed peaceful moments on the water with the host’s canoe and kayak. Nearby trails led to excellent lookout points with fantastic views. The night sky was incredibly clear, it felt like we could see the entire galaxy. Christine's parents were also very helpful during our stay, adding a welcoming touch to the experience. This place offered a perfect blend of comfort and nature.

We were up there for a sledding trip , so can't comment on the outside amenities , but it sure looked nice , when we arrived the road and drive way were just plowed before we got there, just perfect, plenty of parking for 3 trucks and sled trailers .Trails in the area were great , took a trip to north bay , about 50 km. The house was exqusiite, this is a modern place , kitchen spacious and had everything you need , 3 bedrooms upstairs 4 bedrooms downstairs. Beds were comfortable , some were soft , some firm . Internet (Starlink)was perfect , nice Tv. We will stay there again. Joshua was always available for a question with quick response time , can't ask for a better host thanks Mike and the boys

We had a fabulous winter vacation at Jackie’s cottage. The cottage was just as we expected and the location was amazing. Being located so close to hiking trails in the park was a bonus and a great way to spend a snowy day. We would love to return to experience it in the summer. Thanks Jackie!

We discovered the perfect secluded getaway in this beautifully maintained property. The grounds were consistently plowed during snowfall, making our winter stay worry-free. The main cottage comfortably accommodated our group of 5, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a thoughtful welcome kit with snacks and coffee. Two full bathrooms with provided toiletries made sharing the space easy, and the comfortable beds ensured restful nights. The clean, spacious hot tub was perfect for relaxing after outdoor activities, and the reliable wifi kept us connected. We enjoyed both the excellent heating system and the cozy wood fireplace, all while taking in beautiful waterfront views. Killbear Provincial Park, just 40 minutes away, offered excellent winter hiking. Quick tips: bring extra towels as only one is provided per person, and pack slip-on shoes for travelling between cottages. While water has a slight odour, it tastes perfectly fine. We’d love to return in the summer! Highly recommend!

We just wanted to say a big thank you for an amazing stay at your cottage! The location was absolutely perfect, and we loved how peaceful and scenic it was. The hot tub was such a great bonus—we really enjoyed relaxing in it after a day of exploring. The kids were thrilled with the bunk beds and had so much fun! The interior of the cottage was beautiful—cozy, well-decorated, and thoughtfully designed. We especially appreciated how well-equipped and comfortable everything was, making it feel like a home away from home. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and we truly had a fantastic stay. We’d love to come back in the future!

Had a great time at cottage. Great Location on a nice calm Lake. Very easy check-in. Staff very friendly. Very Clean and nice kitchen and BBQ. Would definitely recommend staying here. The Dome and other huts on property would be fun to stay at as well. Have already recommended this property and will probably be back.

Mariana is an amazing host. Her response time to any questions are answered within minutes! This place is heavenly. We loved every minute being there. The large living room window overlooking the lake allows a spectacular peaceful view we couldn't get enough of. We can't wait to come back. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us Mariana!

It was our second stay Dee's place for a ladies weekend. This is one of our favourite spots! Comfy beds, each bedroom with a bathroom, 2 large seating areas, well equipped kitchen. And Dee is quick to respond to any questions. Thanks again Dee!

This was a wonderful place to stay and certainly one of the best places in Sturgeon Falls. A perfect place for a quiet getaway. Everything you may need is available. A beautiful view and wonderful hosts. We will be back!

I just returned from The Ginger, and I highly recommend it! Marsha has created a beautiful, cozy, and welcoming space. The place was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything needed for a relaxing staycation—extra towels, toiletries, games, cookware, and plenty of firewood for the fire pit, which even has a grill for cooking. The kitchen was fully equipped, and every appliance worked perfectly. Marsha was quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The living area was cozy, with a big couch, TV, and an indoor fireplace. There were also extra heaters apart from the central heating, ensuring warmth and comfort. The only minor issue was that the fire pit area got quite dark at night, and the battery-operated lamps didn’t work, so we had to use phone flashlights. However, this was a minor inconvenience and didn’t take away from the amazing experience. Marsha has put great effort into making this place feel like home. I truly loved every moment spent here!

What a magical place! The cabin was exactly as described and had a really warm, comfy feeling. We were travelling as a couple with 4 young kids (no small feat!), and we were totally comfortable and found the cabin stocked with everything we needed. Travelling in the middle of quite a big snowstorm, we were a little concerned about finding the place and the long driveway in. The directions, however, were really clear and the driveway was really well ploughed, and this was so appreciated. Matt and Lori also checked in frequently to make sure everything was great. Thank you for a great little escape!

Exactly as pictured/described, everything you need. Lixin is very friendly and responsive. Helpful with any questions you may have. Kids loves the bunk beds and we had a blast. Looking into booking in the summer.

Our stay at this Muskoka cabin was perfect for unwinding. Eliza and Safiqa were both amazing hosts. The 50s vintage decor and cedar furniture created a cozy atmosphere, and the serene lake views were breathtaking. We enjoyed the pedal boat, and the outdoor BBQ space for meals with a gorgeous lake view. There were also lots of activities to do only 15-20min from the cabin which was an added bonus. Our stay had been a fantastic retreat to disconnect and recharge. Highly recommended!

A small cabin that has everything you need for a comfortable stay to unwind and u plug. Beautiful view of the lake. The inclusion of a canoe and kayaks was an added bonus. Getting there was a bit tricky bur the host gave us very detailed instructions so it was no problem. Highly recommend this “little cabin in the woods” if you are looking to be in this area and have a small group.
