Cottage holiday rentals in Newport, Downe

Our stay at Middle Cottage was wonderful. We brought our dogs and Teresa had left treats, a roll of poop bags, a toy for each of them, and bowls for their food and water! We weren’t expecting any of that and it was a heartwarming touch. Everything was just as expected and we were able to check in early for our stay. While we were there it snowed about 6 inches - very, very unusual for Cape May - and Teresa arranged for the neighborhood teens to dig us out - again, not what we were expecting - which was amazing! We knew the bad weather was coming and it was bitter cold and windy outside, but we were warm and cozy inside and had a really great stay. We’ll definitely keep the Middle Cottage on our short list when we return to Cape May. Finally, there was a great instruction/reference book provided with several pages of local recommendations. Thanks for everything Teresa and family!!

Gorgeous property! Felt exactly like home, with character throughout the home. The airbnb didn’t feel like a cold white box. Plenty of amenities and immediate responses. Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. A 5 star review!

Meghan's beautiful waterfront get away was such a perfect place to spend a long weekend with great friends celebrating summer. There is plenty of wonderfully decorated and furnished spaces both inside and out. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the lower deck, dinners on the shady patio in the front, and the most glorious sunsets on the top deck! We loved being right on the bay with fabulous access to the beach. We seemed to be visiting at the height of the horseshoe crab death march so we didn't spend much time on the actual beach, but the sunny deck and sandy area right in front of the house were perfect for a few relaxing afternoons. The detached bedroom and bath was an exceptional perk to the listing. We will definitely look forward to returning to Meghan's home again.

The place was a really great getaway, we were just bummed to find both propane tanks in the outdoor heater and the grill were both empty since those amenities were a huge draw to book the place!

Anderson place was the perfect getaway four our time at the New Jersey Motosports park! The deck was perfect to keeping us entertained, and the house was so clean! The house is situated on a busier road, so you do hear cars driving down it in the middle of the night.

An absolute perfect stay! It was clean, spacious and located near everything you want and more! I couldn’t say enough good things and their communication was amazing. We will definitely be back!

House was very clean and the space was perfect for our family, including 2 small dogs. Location is a quick and easy drive to all major Cape May activities and popular restaurants. Lots of spacious hang-out areas in the house, and appreciated all the amenities of dishwasher, laundry, wifi and large TV. Quiet neighborhood. Would definitely book this house again.

This was my first time to Cape May. I took a mommy daughter trip and i can’t rave about this place enough. The house was beautiful and cozy. And i loved that it was pet friendly and we got to bring our Rosie girl along with us. I can’t thank you enough for opening your home to us and the amount of appreciation we had for such an incredible trip. It was close enough to go all the places we wanted within a 15 minute drive so everything worked out perfectly. Thank you so much!!!

Thomas was extremely welcoming. We visited in the off-season and although the weather was frigid, we enjoyed our stay for a private getaway. Thomas was sure to make us feel at home and recommend places to visit and eat while we were in town. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer!

Such a great visit! We had friends and family who live nearby come and go and there was always room for everyone. We utilize all the beds when we come stay as we are a big family. I love that we can bring our dogs and the kitchen is simply wonderful to cook in while staying in the conversations on all sides of the house. This was our 4th stay, 3rd during the Christmas season. As usual, a fresh-cut tree was decorated and lit up festively in the living room. The house is warm and inviting and is everything we could hope for in an "off the beaten path" stay in the area. Only a short drive to Washington Street, so you're not missing out on anything. Ellen and Michael are quick to respond with any inquiries and they could not be more accommodating. The only thing that could make our stay more complete is if we had a dog.

We had a great winter getaway in Cape May. The location was very central and close to a lot of the attractions and the house was super clean and was fully stocked for our stay. Taylor even left us dog treats for our pup. The only thing that was upsetting was that the weather was too cold to enjoy the backyard. It was set up with cornhole, hammock, and out door seating around a fire pit. There was even a screen and projector. We have to come back when the weather is warm. Check-in/checkout was super easy with very well communicated instructions. Taylor also provided great recommendations for food and activities. Overall its was a fantastic experience and would 100% stay again next time we are in Cape May.

We stayed at the Mary’s airbnb for a New Year’s Eve wedding. With four bedrooms it was cozy and had plenty of space for our family. We loved having three bathrooms. It was clean and exactly what we needed. Thank you Mary.

Beautiful house. Very clean, which is always important to us. Very short walk to the beach. We also walked to Harpoon’s Bar to watch the PSU game and have some mermaid water. Fantastic time.

We decided to get away during Thanksgiving. Instead of spending hours in traffic to pick up our college student we picked him up and headed to Ashley and Ed's. We enjoyed a peaceful king weekend. Plenary of space for the kids to relax, bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room were all just right. We will return again for sure!

Perfect little cottage in a great location! Everything was clean & bright (great beachy decor) & updated/new. Nicholas was super helpful/responsive, messaged that we could check in early (huge bonus) and not having to bring towels/sheets is a big help! He gives great suggestions for what to do/where to eat, etc. Everything you need to start your vacation was there - paper products, soaps, bath products etc. The bay is so close & has the best sunsets! The patio has a great table/umbrella & the grill was clean & ready to go. The neighborhood is peaceful & quiet but close to plenty of the fun places you’d want to visit. Overall, a top-notch place to stay, perfect for a couple or small group. Highly recommend Nicholas’s cottage! I hope to stay there again soon!

Teresa’s home was perfect for my wife and I to get away for a few days and enjoy the beach community! She is super friendly and quite artistic. She has a flair for design and takes a lot of pride in her home. Her home is less than a block away from a quiet beach and a short drive from all of the fantastic sights and sounds of Cape May. I strongly recommend a stay here on Arbor Road in Villas, NJ to get refreshed and enjoy family.

Wonderful house a few blocks from the beach and a few blocks from Sunset Park. The area is very quiet and friendly neighborhood. The house was well stocked with basic necessities and the shed had bikes, sand toys, beach chairs, wagon and umbrella etc. Highly recommend. We had an awesome vacation.

We stayed here for the weekend with our infant and parents was spacious and the perfect size for us! very walkable and great location very quiet! Would definitely return for another stay!

In the words of my son, “this is the best beach house”. We had a great stay. It was the perfect location. Easy to get to cape may beaches and close to restaurants and ice cream shops! We would definitely stay here again.
