Machiya ★Traditional House in Bentencho★IROEKOTO
great location, super quiet. could use more heating in the winter (bathroom & shower cold), but would totally stay again!

“Tsubara”-calm traditional Kyoto Machiya house
Eri was so beautiful! So helpful and the way she showed us around the home and her attention to detail was phenomenal! I even asked to stay an extra day because kyoto became my favorite place in all of Japan! Coming to Japan i was a bit disappointed with Tokyo, but i am so grateful for Koji and Eris gorgeous home and their recommendations. We rented kimonos and spent the whole day visiting local shrines and temples, all within walking distance. It was such an amazing experience. I will be coming back next year and am going to spend my entire vacation in Kyoto. Hopefully I will be able to stay at Tsubara house again!

kyoto villa soso 2
Very nice place with clean and hot tub including place! Drinks, gifts, and quick communications are great to feel welcome at place.

[Group] LUCK! Accommodates up to 19 people!Quiet area in central Osaka!Shinsaibashi/Kuromon Market/Namba are next to each other, and transportation in the city and airport is super convenient!
Great deal for those with large groups visiting Osaka! The Castle is very spacious and clean in both the individual rooms and the shared spaces, we had 11 people and there was still plenty of space. The location is in a quiet neighborhood but still within a 10/15 min walk to two metro stations that can take you anywhere you’re going in the city. There are also many shops and restaurants within walking distance, including a 7/11 right around the corner! Overall great experience at this location.

Sanjo 1999 Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, Maruyama Park, Kyoto Gosho, Heian Jingu Shrine, Nijo Castle, and other famous places in Kyoto are in the walking area!
Stayed 3 nights at this beautiful home. great location... short walk to the metro station and centre of Kyoto. The accommodation had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Very responsive host and would definitely stay again.

Kyoto Machiya Gion "Kunitsukami" araka-tanaka
Great Machiya stay with a traditional feel, but with modern amenities such as heated floor! Also perfect location to explore Kyoto. Tokuji san was always very responsive during communications. Overall, highly recommended!

Kyoto Tofukuji Samurai Machiya
Stayed in multiple Airbnbs throughout Japan, and this location was by far the BEST! It accommodated my family of 7 plus my 1 year old. Perfect location to walk to several restaurants, bus routes, and train. The decorations and the small detail made the place even more special. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Enjoyed every moment.

A Family House in front of Kyoto Station,4min walk
It was really close to a train station, about five mins away or less, and multiple convenience stores which helped with snacks after long days. Only thing to note is all three rooms are attached, so to get to the third room you must go through the first and second room. It wasn’t an issue for us but might be for those who want privacy. There was a bright exit sign in the first room which was bothersome the first night but we just covered it with a black shirt the next nights and it was fine. Overall would stay again.

Amazinghouse, quiet house for long holidays is BEST
Mio was the best host we've ever had on Airbnb. Her communication was perfect from pre check-in to checkout. Mio came to meet us at the train station and helped us to her beautiful house. We had just got engaged and she had lovely flowers for my fiancée. The house had everything we could need - we felt right at home here. It's a 30 second walk to a well connected subway (less than 5 minutes to Sanjo bridge) and just next to the beautifull Kamagowa River which is great to cycle with the provided bikes. Mio also drove us to the station at checkout which saved us so much time. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Kyoto. This is a must book house for anyone coming to Kyoto.

118 y/o traditional Japanese house in Arashiyama
Has been using airbnb for long time, yamano - san was one of the greatest host i’ve ever met. The place is very convenient, definitely will be back when visit kyoto

Ideal for sightseeing in Osaka and Kyoto 3LDK 2WC 2 parking spaces Vacation Home "JAPAKU" 3 minutes from the nearest station
The single-family home has a large and cozy space. We arrived late on the day we checked in (more than 10 pm) but didn't expect the host to be waiting for us, and for us to carry our luggage and piercing about the facilities in the house. The house is fully equipped with children's toys and books, a lot of shopping and eating information near the house, the bedroom is comfortable and equipped with charging plugs, the stairs are also equipped with a small night light for the night, and there is a non-slip carpet, and there are towels and hands in the bathroom. There is also a car space for self-driving people.Unexpectedly, there was a welcome letter, which was really sweet.Very good value for money, perfect for the size of a family, will have the opportunity to stay again and also to friends and family who intend to visit Osaka. The host couple also delivered in person when they left!

Authentic traditional terrace house of Kyoto.
Such a lovely stay in Kyoto! After the hustle and bustle of Tokyo (and tiny hotel rooms), it was so nice to have a beautiful, quiet, calm space to spread out. A quick walk from the train station and the most perfect backyard is waiting for you with the nicest soaking tub. We ended up doing less than planned so we could enjoy the space more.

Artist's house in Kyoto with a big cypress bath
We stayed in Jinn’s place for a few nights with our family of 4. The house is located in a calm area of Kyoto, bordering the forest. Only a short walk from a Main Street with busses, so very convenient. Jinn’s communication was great and he gave us many tips on what to do and where to eat. He met us personally on arrival and check out and even did a mini photo shoot of our family in the garden! The house is authentic Japanese style - which was new to us and a great experience. Especially the Onsen bath, low dining table and beds on the floor, together with the Japanese furnishings and art / decor were really nice. The house was clean and well equipped. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!!

100y kyoto traditional villa with big garden「観月荘」
It is very convenience for family trip enjoying with the beautiful backyard garden, traditional Japanese style of living. It located in the peaceful area, and nearby the convenience store, Fresco, and choices of restaurants. Aki San is very helpful and responsive. With elderly and kids, we will choose to stay for our next trip.

Stylish Machiya house great access to tour 素敵な京町家
A beautiful home in a nice area of Kyoto conveniently located in close walking distance to bus stops and supermarkets. It was lovely to meet Toshiko who met us for checkin to show us around (& has spent time in our home city of Adelaide, South Australia). The house is well appointed and spacious with separate living areas and a great shower! Highly recommended. Thanks Toshiko!

[No. 1] Entire house, close to KIX, 2 bedrooms, free parking, pets OK.
This is my third stay. The bedding and towels are clean and comfortable, and I am always very satisfied. It's become a place that's hard to book, but I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

✩Big modern family home, access to downtown Osaka
My go to place in the Kansai region. Lovely, comfortable, spacious and well stocked. 5 stars!

guest house azalea
Nice host ever! Very friendly host. Nice explanation with the clear of instructions. Recommend for people who want to feel comfortable and homie. Happy to stay here !

Cozy Japanese house in central Osaka!
We had a very pleasant stay in this house. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, which is greatly appreciated upon arrival. I loved that the toilet was separate from the shower, a practical detail that adds comfort. Sleeping on a futon was a different and unforgettable experience, and both this and the beds were very comfortable which made us rest very well. The location is excellent: easy to locate and with easy access. The host was super friendly, always attentive to our needs and even recommended great places to visit. The only thing to consider are the stairs, which are quite inclined and with small steps, so you have to be careful. Still, the overall experience was fantastic. I would repeat without hesitation!

Near river "old traditionally appointed townhouse"
The home is very special and unique. We are a family of two adults, a 16yo and 8yo. We all loved the home traditional aspects of the home with modern appliances. Even though the home is nestled into a neighborhood, it is a short walk to the gorgeous river, a huge grocery store and a little further are bus stops and train stations. The bikes were such a gift and we enjoyed using them. Although we didn't use them, it was thoughtful to have rain jackets and umbrellas available. Hiroe met us promptly even after a time change with little notice. She was efficient and thorough in her directions. We felt grateful to stay in such a lovely and comfortable home.

Riverside/ 2mins to Inari Shrine/ 5mins Kyoto Sta.
Can't beat the location if you want to visit Mt. Inari before or after the crowds. Since the grounds are open 24 hours, you can walk over anytime, day or night. And although the shops and shrine facilities are only staffed from about 9am to 6pm, you are free to walk the torii gates anytime, and it's absolutely surreal after dark. Also right next to a nice bridge over a picturesque river, and very close to a 7-11. Inside, the place is very nice, and certainly would stay there again.

80 year old private house with kitchen.
Loved staying here, would definitely be back!!!

3-minute walk from Kintetsu "Jujo Station", 2 stops from Kyoto Station! 5 DK! Entire unit for 1 group! Weekly 5% discount! Monthly 10% discount!
10/10 Would definitely recommend!

TAKEYA Gojo West (竹屋五条西館)
Our stay at Kyoto was very enjoyable at Takeya Goa west. The fact that it's only one station away from Kyoto station, made it very accessible and easy to get to. The house was spotless and fully loaded with amenities and equipment that made it very easy to use. It had a well stocked kitchen with basic condiments to get you started immediately. Kazuya had provided a detailed manual on operating everything in the house which made life easy. Location was perfect- very close to 24hr supermarkets, drug stores and stations. A special mention to Kazuya and his proactive service. On the first day of the stay, I was facing difficultly in operating the rice cooker as it was displaying in Japanese. Kazuya immediately came over and helped me figure it out. He also took note of my special requests which really made things easy for us. Overall very happy to stay here and would definitely recommend it to others.
