Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Namaqualand

It’s not an Airbnb, it’s truly paradise. Don’t know where to start praising this place, because it is simply wonderful. The house is very well equipped and beautifully decorated - it feels like a home and has so much soul. With the windows open at night you feel like you are sleeping outside, being able to see the stars and sunrise from bed whilst listening to the birds is magical. There’s lots to do: you can go on hikes and swimming in the nearby river directly from the house. The perfect spot to unwind, recharge and just be. Guthrie is an exceptionally welcoming host. It was very hard to leave and we hope to return soon.

I cannot describe how magical our stay was at Sukkel Sukkel Wagenpad. The Wagenpad team went over and above to make us feel at home and exceeded all our expectations. We received some lovely welcome gifts and the space was filled with beautiful art, decor and furniture that created various moments in each unit. The kitchen was simple but it had exactly everything we needed. The bedroom was very comfortable with various windows showing the surrounding mountains. The donkey was easy to manage and gave more than enough water. We have never felt more calm and rested as we did at Wagenpad. The walks between the buildings was great as it keeps you connected to nature. There is also some lovely hiking paths, a dam to swim in and beautiful mountains surrounding you (and an infinite amount of start at night). It is a quiet space to escape all the rush and noise from the city. What a gem of a place! Will 100% and more recommended it!

Our stay in the rock stone house nestled in the mountains was absolutely magical! Surrounded by pristine nature, it was the perfect escape from city life. The house itself felt both rustic and cozy, with its unique design blending seamlessly into the environment. Waking up to the sounds of birds and stunning mountain views was unforgettable. The host was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and full of great local recommendations. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place to be!

My friends and I had a great time at the cottage. There's a friendly cat who came to say hello and hung out with us for a while. The instructions around the stove/showers etc was very clear. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of walkable trails/hikes

It took us long to get there from Muizenberg but it was so worth it! The cabin was quaint and clean. We took our two dogs with and they were welcomed and we had a fence to keep them in. The property is beautiful with incredible walks/hikes. There are also a lot of options for swimming which is great in that heat! The hosts were also very welcoming. Thanks and we'll hopefully be back soon!

We absolutely loved our time in Kent cottage. The house is rustic but beautiful and has everything you need for a perfect weekend away!

Stunning location ... 'best spot in Lamberts Bay'; can't argue with that! On the beach and just a short walk away from the convenience stores and restaurants, loved it and would love to come and stay again.
