Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mount Vernon

This was the 3rd time we've rented Eric's house. Eric is so accommodating! the house is well equipped with just about everything you could hope for: kitchen is well equipped, there are games available, extra tables and chairs, and so much more! Thanks, Eric, for another great family Thanksgiving.

What an amazing getaway. We were looking for something fun and we found it. It was local, but seemed like we were in a total different world. The view was breathtaking and the privacy was refreshing. We went for some food and drinks in fairhaven and did some shopping in all the boutiques. So glad we found this place. The hosts were amazing, they let us come early, answered all our questions quickly even from another state and time zone. They offered plenty of suggestions for the stay and were more than welcoming.

I loved my stay at Sarah's Purple Cottage. Relaxing and Beautiful. The cottage was adorable and had everything I needed. The hot tub and private beach were both incredible.

A gem of a place to celebrate the holidays with family. The home is nestled into the beautiful PNW forest with views of the lake . The hot tub was perfect and all warmed up when we arrived. Plenty to do in Bellingham from hikes to shopping in Fairhaven. An added bonus is that Patricia is a great host!!

What a fabulous home to experience a bit of San Juan Island life! The sunrise view toward Mt. Baker and the North Cascades was breathtaking. The small cove in front of the house was fun to explore. The house was very comfortable and had every imaginable amenity. The hot tub was so relaxing after a full day of sightseeing. My only regret is that our stay there was too short. I look forward to returning.

We loved staying in Campbell's place as a jumping off point to explore Baker! The home was spacious and just the right size for our stay and we absolutely loved spending time in the hot tub after long days on the mountain. Definitely would stay here again!

We chose this Airbnb to wait out a small remodel of our home on Camano Island. Martha and Nolan's home is spacious and set in a beautiful wooded area with so much to enjoy out of each window and door. A very large pond/lake makes off the backyard makes a lovely view. Their home is in a quiet area with easy access to main roads. There is no light pollution, and a couple of nights we could see the northern lights. The kitchen is spacious, the bedrooms/bathrooms are spaced out and offer privacy. We were lucky to find their Airbnb as it was a 6 minute drive to my home during the remodel progress for meetings and such. We didn't use the dome on the property, but it is unique and a cool innovation, as well. Thank you, Martha and Nolan for your responsiveness and offering your home on Airbnb.

At the very last minute, I decided to find a quiet oasis to finish this round of edits to my book. I wanted to begin the new year with this complete and poised for the next steps of my business. Much to my delight, Becky's amazing space was available. Becky communicates very well and responds quickly. In hours, I was set for our visit! The views are amazing. The space was cozy, serene, pup-friendly, and precisely what I needed to support my work. When it came time to unplug and replenish my energy, the front lawn, overlooking the water, was the perfect setting for fetch. If it was time to get away, many beaches were nearby, ideal for long walks by the water. This space is on my short list of places I want to revisit! Thanks Becky. I appreciate you!

What a wonderful place to stay! We had a wonderful time sitting on the patio chairs and watching the sunset, sunrise and the many birds visiting the water. I can see myself booking this airbnb again in the future.

Comfortable accommodation and had everything we needed . Great location, easy to get to everything in Bellingham. Especially loved the trees in the front yard. Would stay here again if in the area.

Very cozy place. The bedrooms were comfortable, dark and quiet for a great nights sleep. I particularly loved the living room and dining room, very spacious and comfortable. The fireplace was easy to use and made for the most cozy winter evenings! The outdoor area was very pretty but the weather was against us so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. We will have to come back in the summer to enjoy the patio more. There’s a pretty creek nearby that you could see and hear, it was very cool. There was also a nice entry area for drying off before going inside. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Thanks so much! We will be back!

We booked Rene's for a family holiday celebration. It was great having a full kitchen and large enough living room to play charades and visit. Very quiet and secluded but just 10 minutes from downtown Port Townsend.

My partner and I stayed with our two dogs at Craig's place for about 6 weeks over Christmas and New Years. We absolutely loved the stay and the views are incredible. There was plenty of space for us to host holidays and have family stay with us. We even got to cut down a Christmas tree from the farm to decorate! We both worked from the house and had zero issues with internet. Would highly recommend the stay. Pros: -spacious -plenty of seating -comfortable bed -gorgeous views -great access to Deception Pass and rest of Whidbey -good internet speeds Cons: -one main bath with tub that is difficult to step into for limited mobility folks -low water pressure -planes flying overhead can be very noisy if on work meetings/calls

We had a great stay. Mimi was very helpful and responsive. The house had a lot to offer for a family—fenced yard, chickens, fish, and even an outdoor shower. The beach was easy to access and it was a beautiful spot. Our kids especially loved feeding the deer!

Nice 3-bedroom 2-bathroom spot with a hot tub and Foosball table. Located really close to Chair 9, which makes for an easy meet up spot for groups. Just be aware that there is almost no cell phone service in this area

Everything was exactly as pictured. Had a good stay and the staff was very friendly. Short push to sit in a meeting for timeshares but they were fine with me saying no thanks. Overall good stay.

We so loved staying here. The view was spectacular and the home, amenities and location were perfect for us. A short jaunt to downtown Bellingham to visit our daughter and close enough for her to visit us with ease. The pictures don’t do it justice, the expansive lake view is serene and we got to see a sprinkle of snow on the hilltops on our last day. Can’t wait to visit again.

We had a great time at the Meadow View Cottage. You are greeted with a lovely home, then comes the pool and the final touch is the hot tub and the lawn. The property has a great layout to spend lots of times outdoors. Our family enjoyed cooling off in the pool and played lawn games and took advantage of the hot tub while gazing the stars. The location is also perfect if families would like to visit Bellingham or Birch Bay. Just some minor details to consider: Face & ID verification and rental agreement are needed before you arrive at the property. We also requested a high chair and a travel crib in advance but they arrived later on. The property is private but the owner is living right next door, so it is not a complete privacy. The owner was kind enough to clean the pool while we were out. Some of the furniture in the house is not kid friendly especially if you have young kids.

Our family visited for an end of summer getaway. We had 2 adults and 5 grown kids! We LOVED the house! The pool and hot tub were amazing and the family enjoyed pickle ball, golf and the trampoline! We picked apples off the property’s tress and really enjoyed the quiet! If we are back in the area we will definitely book again! The place was perfect for our holiday. Beds were comfy, kitchen/bathroom was stocked with essentials and more. We absolutely enjoyed every bit of our stay.

Great central location and the amenities are superb! Room was exactly as described and check in/out was quick and easy.
