The check-in process was smooth, and communication was excellent throughout our stay. Visiting from the UK, Angela the host gave clear directions & gate entry info. On arrival we were greeted with a thatch roof rondawel in the most serene & private surroundings. Felt so tranquil & peaceful looking out over her beautiful garden. The rondawel has a lovely rustic feel & was spotless with the little touches of tea, coffee, sugar & milk plus some delicious biscuits & a dram of Sherry! There’s a fire pit to enjoy looking up at the vast African sky & a swimming pool to enjoy by day. Vervet monkeys were busy foraging & little duikers came to visit. We stayed here 4 times during our visit we enjoyed it so much. Angela gave us tips on places to visit & eat & was so friendly during our stays. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean. There were annoying animal noises at night coming from the roof of the one bedroom. We assumed there might be a bat nest on the roof as we did see a bat in the house. Other than this and one or two electrical plugs that intermittently worked. Our stay was very pleasant.

Jacquie was an amazing host, she even gave us dinner on the first night as we didn't realize how remote the location was. Really enjoyable stay and we will be back.

We booked Penny's place at the last minute and she was more than willing to assist us. The space is lovely, we enjoyed meals in the open plan kitchen with a view over the valley. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. The shower was piping hot and clean which was superb on a rainy cold weekend. Full dstv bouquet allowed us to enjoy the UCI XCO races. All in all, an incredibly pleasant weekend. Thanks Penny.

Had a wonderful stay in a very well equipped cottage. The stairs to the loft are very steep. Perhaps a handrail on the side would make it easier and safer to get up and down. The location is awesome. Very peaceful, safe and secure. Would highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The fresh eggs, milk and fruit was an added bonus. The fishing was top class. Awesome view of the dam and surroundings. We saw some amazing lighting storms and waking up to see the wild rabbits out front was a first for us. Will definitely be back again.

What a special place! We loved every minute of our stay. We met Paul who told us about the history of the castle/church. A delicious supper and breakfast was prepared for us. Heaters in each room had already been turned on for us and a fire in the in the main living area made. The beds are so comfy and covered in snug duvets and quilts. The area outside is gorgeous with a swimming pool and many places to sit, relax and/or eat. We highly recommend this magical airbnb. We hope to return rather sooner than later.
