Hawthorn Lodge with Jacuzzi, sauna and play area

KarenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A great base for our half term break. Very peaceful and good location for exploring by car. The hosts were responsive and on hand if needed. Lovely little touches as we stayed over Halloween, we had a Halloween shower curtain and the chicken pen was decorated with Halloween bits which the kids really enjoyed. Seeds were provided so we could feed the chickens and geese in the field right by the house. Plenty of wood was provided to keep the fire going and warm the house.

The Old Dairy- Boutique Cottage at Harrys Cottages

CaitlinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My partner and I had a wonderful stay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, checking in to see how we were getting on! In all honestly we didn’t need much from them at all as they’d left lots of information as to how to find the place, key, and additional details left in the house as to pubs, walks etc around. Cosy and gorgeous little cottage with lots of privacy and completely quiet, would 100% recommend for a country getaway. Place was clean and tidy. Kitchen good size and well stocked with pots pans and cutlery and dishwashing soap/tablets. They also supplied firelighters and matches for the fire, and loo roll (this was only a few rolls but plenty for our two night stay) I recommend bringing everything you would need with you to cook with (oil salt pepper) as well as all your toiletries although there was hand soap. There is a nearby services station (5 mins)with the essentials however if you forget anything! Would happily stay again with friends or just the two of us!

Wren Cottage for your relaxing rural retreat.

EleanorRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A lovely secluded cottage, very dog friendly, it even has a dog washing station which for us was a godsend when our dogs rolled in something very smelly. Inside it’s cosy and warm, with modern appliances. The hosts are lovely too. We have been there twice now and will certainly be going back again

Beautiful cottage with magnificent views

MeganRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We just spent a few nights in Yarlington Dairy and had such a lovely, relaxing trip. Laura went above and beyond to accommodate our little one and was on hand to provide assistance when we needed it! Highly recommend asking Laura to add the breakfast baskets onto your stay (we had to share ours with a tiny croissant thief!) and definitely sample their delicious cider (that was not for sharing!). Brilliantly equipped, unbeatable views, a home away from home. As city folk, we found the list of recommendations hugely helpful. Thank you!🍻❤️

Old Barn House Hereford

JenniferRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We have just returned from our weekend stay at Old Barn House. Everything has was perfect for our family get together. Sarah was extremely communicative before the trip providing lots of information about the house and location including walks and places to eat in the area. The house was very spacious and comfortable and especially well equipped if you bring a dog along. It was in a very peaceful location with a lovely walk around the fishing lakes close by, for an early morning walk. We will definitely consider returning in the future and would highly recommend it for a holiday or weekend.

*Brecon Beacons,Log Burner, hot tub Dogs Welcome*

LetíciaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Excellent hosts with thorough and prompt communication. There were some issues with the property initially (completely outside of their control) and they sorted us out ASAP, keeping in touch throughout. This property is exactly what we were looking for for a Christmassy weekend away as two couples; homely and cosy, lovely bedrooms and functional kitchen. The shower is great. The hot tub is SUPERB, we thoroughly enjoyed it (yes it's next to a fence with neighbouring gardens but this was not an issue - and a covered hot tub is a rarity!). We did give some feedback about having more cutlery available which they've immediately taken on board. Overall I'm really happy and will look to stay with these guys again if we're back in S Wales. Thanks!

Beautiful rural cottage

LaraRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a wonderful stay. The house is in a beautiful location with amazing views. We were worried about the road to the house as it was long and steep but excellent instructions really helped and both our cars got right to the top. One of our cars was electric and low too! The house was cosy and homely and sitting by the log fire in the evening was a real treat. We went for a walk from the cottage and saw even more amazing views. About an hour's drive away were also some beautiful waterfalls. It is a perfect location if you like to get away from it all, enjoy being surrounded by nature but still have the comforts of a warm and welcoming house.

Home from Home in the Wye Valley

DebbieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Clare's cottage was a real haven, a home away from home. The setting was stunning and Helen was a wonderful host super helpful and friendly but never intrusive. We had everything that we needed for a wonderful stay. Helen has also provided a glossary of information about the surrounding area andots of brochures for keen walkers. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

A Superb Size Cottage By The Canal

RebeccaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Beautiful cottage in a lovely area! Enjoyed walks along the canal and local town has everything you could possibly need and more! Bed in second bedroom could compete for the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Great for visiting son at Cardiff uni without needing to be in the city. Can’t wait to stay again.

Luxury cosy home

KayRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A wonderful place we stayed in the Cider House which was so cosy and with lovely view's Storm Darragh tried its best to change our plans but we still ventured out as there is so much to explore. A real gem of a property we particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet yet only a few miles to civilisation if needed. Big thank you to all the staff we saw who were so helpful and informative.

Birch Cottage with woodland sauna

MaeveRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay a Birch Cottage😊. The cottage itself is hidden in the peaceful countryside where you can see hills and valleys from all directions. The interior of the home was stunning, it had the most amazing rustic feel to it and the fireplace in the living room made it super cosy. Each room was furnished beautifully, and made us feel very homely. i’m so happy to have come here. It was everything we were looking for, for a weekend getaway. Thank you Phil :)

Peaceful Stone Cottage among fabulous gardens

SaskiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was a very comfy and cosy cottage for a mid-winter stay, with beautiful surroundings and views. The kitchen is well equipped, the shower was good and it was all very clean. The log burner made it extra cosy. The bed is quite soft, which may be fine for some but just a warning for those with bad backs planning to stay more than a couple of nights.

The Studio House. Peaceful Luxury. Alpacas+Sheep.

MatthewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay here! It was so peaceful being on the farm and super cosy inside with heaters and fire on when it was cold outside! Robert was one of the best hosts, very responsive and was on hand for a recommendation or if we needed anything. Good fun feeding the alpacas and taking a morning stroll around the farm. Definitely could have stayed longer with loads of good walks and pubs nearby.

We loved Pineapple Cottage and we have already booked our next stay there! The cottage is beautifully decorated and my children loved the secret bedroom. The location is perfect in the centre of town and it was a short trip to the Forest of Dean bike trails.
