We had a lovely stay. The caravan was lovely, clean and modern with a cosy feel. It was well equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The decking/balcony facing on to the lake was lovely and the park was so nicely maintained and quiet. Would definitely return!

Beautiful, peaceful and perfect. Everything we wanted for New Year's Eve, it felt like we had a country estate to ourselves apart from the deer.

The most perfect location for a hen party! Chris was the most amazing host with all his information to ensure the stay was as perfect as it could have been! Chris was always on hand if anything was required and always ready to answer questions along with giving recommendations! Location was perfect in a very quiet neighbourhood with a 5 minute walk to the train station to get straight into the centre of Glasgow in no time! Would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

From minute 1 of booking this amazing lodge David was extremely responsive and friendly. This gave us a warm idea of what was to come. Upon arrival we were then greeted by another very kind and welcoming lady (didn’t catch her name sorry) who shown us into the perfect cottage with extreme politeness. The lodge was filled with everything needed, hot tub was warm on arrival, TV was huge and could be rotated (can even face the hottub. This was a bonus for us as we are movie geeks 👍🏽 The kitchen was stunning and some essentials were provided that we actually forgot to bring (salt, pepper, oil). Cannot fault a single bit of the stay. Immaculate. The outside porch was tremendous too. It is closed off nice so that even when you’re in or out the hot tub you feel 0 draft. Upon leaving we spoke to 3 lovely ladies, 2 cleaners and 1 other lady who was also super lovely (sorry no names again). We had a great weekend at Fir Garth. The house was well equipped for our group of 10: Good sized en-suite bedrooms with comfy beds and cosy duvets, a really well equipped kitchen ( we did lots of cooking), the main living was a great sized space, a projector, games, an extra snug room, outdoor space etc. The location was excellent, pub and shop within walking distance, excellent walks in the area, a beautiful view, quiet, easily accessible. We all agreed we would definitely come to the house again.

Lingmell is a perfect place to stay - perched on a quite street above bustling and workmanlike Ambleside with steep but easy access to local shops & cafes as well as nearby walks and the park. Unassuming from the front, it opens up to elevated views over the town and Loughrigg Fell opposite - you could spend all day just watching the weather and the hills. But you can't...there is so much to do: walks, waterfalls, coffee shops, Zefirelli's (for cinema & jazz), boats on Lake Windermere...everywhere is pretty close. And finally, if you have the energy, there is the pool and spa, run by the entertaining management team! And Garth is always at hand if you need anything...a big 'Thank You' from us!

The pictures do not do it justice! Me and my family had a lovely stay in Mark's cottage. The facilities were amazing and it made for a wholesome weekend away - would definitely recommended for a lake district retreat!

Would 100% recommend staying at the Riverain Coach House. We recently stayed with some friends and enjoyed local walks close to the house, a good selection of local pubs nearby but would recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment. However with Penrith and shops being only 10 minutes away, it wasn't a problem. The house has been done up beautifully and is really well equipped. Christine was great, providing lots of helpful information before our stay and the welcome hamper went down a treat. Thank you so much, we would 100% stay again.

Good sized home for a family to stay in. Very clean and we really like having two bathrooms, not that common in Scotland, bathrooms were also updated and modern. Note that both bathrooms are downstairs and bedrooms are upstairs. We really appreciated the washing machine. Kitchen was excellent and well equipped, Victor even left us a welcome bottle of wine! Beds were a little uncomfortable and could do with replacement mattresses. Good house and value.

Beautiful location, immaculately clean and cosy, was peacefully quiet, just what we needed for a few days. Many thanks for the milk, wine and delicious biscuits - an unexpected treat on arrival!! And so warm and cosy to walk into straightaway. A lovely walk along to St Abbs from the cottage, and another down to the beach and along into Coldingham where we had a very tasty pub meal at the New Inn. We were lucky to have blue skies for our entire visit -wish we could have stayed longer! Bob and Lu were very helpful and friendly in their communication, wouldn't hesitate to recommend ..or stay again!!

The house was as described. Very quiet on an evening. Great location for walking in the lakes following our walk up Scarfell Pike and Ennerdale. It’s not particularly a tourist location but a great base! All locals really friendly and Everything was expected and described.

Wonderful and friendly host who made our trip that much better. House was exactly as described and G left clear instructions and also a binder of information about the house and local recommendations which made the stay easier. Would be back in an instant.

We recently stayed at the Old School House and had a wonderful experience. The building’s rich history and unique character made it a truly memorable stay. The peaceful, rural setting allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. It was the perfect spot for a restful break, with plenty of charm and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely recommend the Old School House for anyone looking to escape and unwind in a tranquil, beautiful setting.

Helens place was exactly as expected. was ideal for a stop over for work whilst working local. All was clean. Easy access from instructions. If working local would stay again. with thanks.

Beatiful and relaxing space, can hold a lot of people without getting on top of each other. Great for large groups of people with plenty of flexibility for gathering and privacy.

We loved the property. Very spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen. It was a nice touch having the Christmas tree! We also loved the location and enjoyed the tranquility of where the property is located. Hayley was responsive responding to questions and would love to stay again sometime!

Was on exchange in London and decided to visit Edinburgh, was extremely lucky to stay at Usman’s accommodation. He was extremely welcoming and waited for our arrival on the first day and took the liberty of showing us around the house. The place was super cosy, clean and warm. A proper lovely place to stay that’s not far from the main tourist spots either. Cannot thank Usman enough for being so lovely and ensuring we have everything we need for the stay. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever back for a visit to Edinburgh. Would give 6 stars if I could!

Stayed 2nd-5th of January as a lovely new year break before being back at work. Caroline’s home has some great features including a lovely hot tub, luxury jacuzzi bath, well equipped kitchen and comfy sofas plus a downstairs shower room ideal for use before the hot hub. Definitely a place I’d recommend as Caroline greeted us and showed us around so we were comfortable with everything her home had to offer, also very informative of good local restaurants and places to visit. Drivable to some beautiful scenic areas to the west coast. Thank you Caroline

Originally booked Gail’s house for 2weeks but extended our stay twice as no home wasn’t ready. Gail was so helpful and got back to us straight away. House had everything we needed for our family of 4. Whole stay went really smoothly and Gail’s communication with us was great. Thank you.

This was our third trip staying at Dodside which speaks volumes in itself. Colin is very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of woid provided for the woodburner which made the accommodation very cosy. Would recommend but only if you drive as it's rural and a couple of miles from the nearest shops. Lovely and quiet though.
