Holiday rentals with lake access in Minnesota River

We stayed at the Sunny Rush Retreat for a long weekend with the kids and had an absolutely wonderful time! The cabin is peaceful and cozy, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Waking up to the sunrise over the lake each morning was truly breathtaking. Lisa was incredibly helpful and responsive, making sure everything was smooth from start to finish. The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed—comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and reliable Wi-Fi. There’s easy access to the lake, which was great for exploring—even though it was a little too cold for swimming during our visit, we still loved being right by the water. The spacious deck and outdoor space made it easy to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend this retreat for families or anyone looking for a quiet, lakeside getaway. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

We stayed just two nights, but the place was cozy. I loved the memory lane experience of items that decorated the place. This is a quiet hideaway that makes it possible to unplug and just decompress from life. The lake was frozen and beautiful all at the same time.

We are living in a very small house while we build a house. We did not have room to have our five children and families to celebrate Christmas. Although it was a very unique Christmas for us, it could not have been a better experience while we wait for our home to be done. We have a one year old grandson and wondered if we needed to bring all the stuff for him. They literally had it all, crib, highchair, toys - made our stay easier and we had one happy little boy! Antoine was great to work with. Our family had a great time and we thank Antoine for sharing his home and make everything run smoothly.

My coworkers and I stayed here most of the week. It was a great place for us to unwind in the evening after long days of meetings. We would definitely recommend and will most likely use again when more than two of uscome into town.

This was the perfect weekend getaway with friends! It was easy to find and check-in, plus there are restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. Joshua was very accommodating and responded quickly to any questions we had. Definitely worth coming back to for another trip!

This was an older home full of charm and character. It was very clean and spacious, very clean, and was very well equipped. Location was excellent and communication with our hosts was outstanding. Would stay again.

We had a great stay here for our annual girl’s weekend. The set-up was perfect, and Brooke was great to work with- she accommodated a later departure time and even left muffins and fruit to welcome our group! Would love to stay here again in the summer and definitely recommend Brooke and her home to others. Thank you!

We loved staying at Dilini’s place! It was very clean, had tons of stuff to do at the house, and was driving distance to a lot of great restaurants and stores. Check in was very easy and Dilini was great at communicating on the app on how to get in as well as having a helpful book on where things were in the house and in the area! Would 1000% recommend staying here for your next trip!!! The house has everything you should be needing for you stay

This was a very nice place for me and my mother to stay while visiting family and going to activities in the area. The apartment is spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, and super clean. It was easy to park and get into the apartment and "walker friendly" for my mother. Andrew was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the spring flower show at the MN arboretum and lunch at Maynard's in Exelsior. The home is adjacent to highway 7, so there is some traffic noise, but that was not a problem for us.

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The one-bedroom space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The neighborhood felt very safe, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Communication with the host was smooth, and they were very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and secure place to stay by the historic lake.

Our stay was perfect in every way. This rental is even more gorgeous in person than pictures. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and a perfect location for the area. Loved the complimentary coffee! Thank you for everything 🤍

Richard's place was easy to find and just as advertised. The pictures don't lie and the place was spotless. They even go so far as to provide a few snacks for you during your stay. 10/10

The location was great. We like being by the lakes and had stayed in the Linden Hills area before. Kevin’s place is just a block from the Bde Maka Ska so there are lots of places to walk or ride your bike. There is on street parking right outside the front door. Kevin and Sue were exceptionally hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. The apartment was immaculate, quiet and dark at night. The walk in shower was great. The kitchen was well equipped, although we did not use it, choosing to go out to some excellent nearby restaurants instead.

The Place Between the Lakes is the best place I've booked through Airbnb. It's extremely cozy and comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and in a beautiful neighborhood in Minneapolis. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the Minnesota maple syrup, tooth brush and floss, and other amenities you typically find a more elevated hotel. Kris and Jessie were proactive with their communication and had ample instructions in the Airbnb. My only regret is it being too cold to enjoy the patio--it looks so cozy! Thank you both!

We had a great stay at Jodi's place! It was very clean and just as described. The five beds and 3 baths were perfect for our group. The location was great, and we enjoyed taking walks/runs around the nearby lakes. We would recommend checking out BRIM just around the corner. Jodi was a great host! she was responsive and helpful in answering our questions. I would recommend this stay!

Laura is such a thoughtful and gracious host! The carriage house is absolutely charming - bright, spacious, peaceful, and private. I felt extremely safe and comfortable throughout my stay. A perfect cozy winter weekend hideaway!

Jessica's place was absolutely perfect for our visit to Medicine Lake. We visited the area for a family wedding at Hutton House with my 2 children (5 & 2) and my sister and brother-in-law. We could not have picked a better spot. The house is so cute and comfortable, we instantly felt right at home when we walked in. It is perfectly decorated, cozy without being overwhelmed with decor. Well stocked with everything we could need for our visit (crib, high chair, curling iron, bath products, coffee, spices, games... the list goes on.) My children LOVED the video games downstairs. And the sunroom was such a cozy place to curl up with a book. I wish we had better weather so we could have enjoyed the adorable patio space and fire pit, but no one can control the weather. The host was extremely gracious and accommodating and has a wonderful online guidebook that was a great start to planning our visit. Wonderful memories of our trip and hope to visit again in the future!

Beautiful lake front property with dock, kid friendly, lots of yard for activities. Cabin was super clean and welcoming. Park with on walking distance for the kids. We will book again!

Absolutely loved this place!!! Simply adorable and gorgeous views! The sunsets were amazing! The water was perfectly clear... very quiet area! I want to retire and move here; unfortunately, I did not win the lottery last night..LOL. We will definitely come back!! Would love to bring the grandkids; the bunkbeds are very cute!! Oh and the hosts were very responsive!!!

We had a beautiful and relaxing weekend at Laura’s. The deck has an amazing view of the lake, and was great for stargazing at night. Our kids loved watching the boats go by and playing with bubbles outside. Perfect for our weekend trip!

We now stay at this cozy cottage yearly for a family, mother/daughter trip. My husband and I are also interested in staying for our own romantic get away sometime. It is the perfect blend of city perks combined with a wooded, lake view natural environment. We also loved enjoying the huge hot tub outside right in the middle of winter. It was a joy all around that we can’t wait to enjoy again and keep recommending!

We were looking for a spot several family members could meet over the holidays. There were 6 adults and this house was perfect! Very relaxing, plenty of space and so cozy. We would highly recommend.

The home was a charming and peaceful. Cindy was very responsive which we appreciated. There was an issue with the house that caused our stay to be cut short (beyond anyone’s control), but Cindy was very apologetic and offered to do whatever we needed to secure another home. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place with lake views or just wanting nature and a quiet setting.
