Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Mevagissey

This place made for a great base and was good value; we were on a budget and it met all our needs. Beds were comfy and it never felt crowded with 7 of us staying. We could always get enough hot water and bedding and towels were clean. We never heard any noise outside or through walls. Sandra was very helpful and responsive and it was a lovely touch to arrive to milk, biscuits, tea and coffee.

The property was very beautiful and clean. We had a child with us and the baby chair in the kitchen is very thoughtful. Lana and her daughter was very easy to get hold of. The experience was remarkable. Definitely recommended!

Our experience at The Gatehouse was the most special Airbnb experience we have ever had. We were visiting family in the nearby area, and this was the perfect space to call home for a couple of days while exploring. We live in Australia and special, historic buildings such as this one, are extremely rare. My partner is a builder and was very taken with the renovation and how unique this building is. The bed was also the most comfortable bed ever, with the most beautiful french linen sheets. Gorgeous, clean bathroom with a great shower. Charming, elegant touches. Convenient kitchen with everything you need. We stayed here during Winter, and we found the space to be warm, and we also enjoyed using the log fire. We would love to return to this place - it is beyond special and it was a privilege to stay here. Thank you so much Emma & Romilly.

We had a lovely stay as a group of 6 adults. Staff were lovely and went the extra mile. The house we stayed in was exceptionally clean and tidy. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we would need. Would recommend to others.

The highlight of the property has to be the hot tub – it was absolutely outstanding and the perfect way to end a day of adventure. The guide Ivana provided was straightforward and easy to follow, making our stay even more enjoyable. Me and my four friends all agreed that the best part of our trip was staying at Ivana’s place. We loved it so much the first time, we just had to return again this year. Fabulous cottage, situated in a great location to explore North Cornwall. The cottage is furnished to a high level and really does have everything you would need. An absolute home from home and so cosy in the Autumn/ Winter months. Only one mile from Constantine bay and within easy drive of so many other bay and beaches in the area. Cottage ideal for all family types and has a well enclosed garden perfect for children or animals. Tim is an excellent host, communicates very well and is extremely responsive. Would absolutely recommend a stay here.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas, with a well stocked kitchen and very comfortable sofas and layout. It’s a very friendly neighbourhood - we were wished a happy Christmas by strangers and were offered help with carrying our bags. Easy to drop down the hill to anywhere along the high street, so very convenient for the town. The parking wasn’t bad at all and it was handy to have a designated space if necessary. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful, homely accommodation right next to the most amazing pub that serves great locally produced food. The location was just brilliant, right in the middle of a working fishing village with the most spectacular scenery. Access to walks along the costal paths were easy to find and even with the changeable weather we experienced during our stay we still managed to enjoy the views. Hannah was very quick to respond to any queries we had and a very helpful host, thank you Hannah. We would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again (in the vain hope that we may have some better weather)!

An excellent place to stay in Mousehole, highly recommended. Lis was extremely helpful and friendly, the flat was very comfortable and clean, and the views spectacular. Looking forward to returning!

Second time staying here on a short break. Laura is a great host, very responsive and always friendly. Apartment is perfectly clean, warm and in a great quiet location with an easy short walk to the beach. 5 minute drive into Falmouth for shops, restaurants. Thanks Laura for the welcome goodies, always appreciated after a long drive.

Location, location, location. The perfect place for cosy stay in St Ives. The sea was the backdrop to time spent here as a small family with dog. We are really going to miss the sound of the sea when going to bed and waking up. The views must be the best in town. Janette is a great host - responsive and thoughtful. We were able to check in a little earlier due to our train arriving before checking in time. We had milk in the fridge and a welcoming bottle of wine waiting for us. The cottage was perfectly clean, cosy with everything you need. Modern with character and a homely feel. Our 18 year old son (6ft 1) slept comfortably down below the trap door - he thought it cosy. The upstairs bedroom with dressing room and en-suite was perfect for us. We had space to put our bags away - everything seems to have been thought about to make our stay wonderful. We will be back again but for now we have wonderful memories.

Small but perfectly formed! dreamy cottage for two with everything you need and a modern shower. Bathroom is cosy and en suite but well appointed. Highly recommended.

Amber’s place was a perfect location for us as only a few doors away from my son’s house. So knew the area well already. The flat was immaculately clean, bright and cheerful. Would definitely use it again.

This house offers everything you need to travel to Cornwall. Good fit for every type of trip. The kitchen equipped everything for breakfast and any meals (in case you need to cook). Chris and her family very welcomed us and we just felt like we were staying at our own home. Thanks so much Chris and I will definitely choose yours again if I will travel back.

Anna was a wonderful, considerate host, ensuring the flat was warm and cost ahead of our arrival. Xmas decorations sparkled and the decor gave a real hygge vibe. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I won’t stay anywhere else in Falmouth again. Superb. Six stars!

Overall a very good experience

A lovely lodge in a great location. Perfect for our needs. Nice walk to Looe directly from the beach, and having the beach shack open in the evenings was a bonus. Great area for sea swimming (with a seal for company!) and easy to get to other parts of Cornwall. Louise was very helpful and responsive. We’d visit again.

Us 9 from 7 to 70 had a really great holiday. Despite sometimes dodgy weather, we loved using the numerous house facilities. The sheltered from breeze,wellness area exceeded expectations, especially hot tub & sauna & was well maintained.Also much family football ! & basketball. The outdoor gym a good perk. Pizza oven good fun too. Indoors budding pianists explored their talents ! The conservatory was beautiful to relax & eat family meals in if we couldn't eat outside. Locally the walk to Porth beach for us was fine & walk to the island beautiful. We made use of the body boards & kids wetsuits at the house and all tried out paddle boarding at the Gannell ( again free because the house offered inflatable board ). So busy we only watched 1 film in the cinema / playroom, but it's a great asset to have, as was the annexe, a real little home. the lettuces growing if we wanted & just the huge space in & out. Unlike many places, upstairs was spacious & all fully carpeted, so very quiet.

I had the pleasure of staying at Polkanugga Farm and it was truly exceptional. Hidden in the middle of nature, this place offers the kind of peace and quiet that is hard to find. The property is very well-equipped with everything you might need. The hot tub was a real luxury, perfect for relaxing under the stars. The pizza oven was a delightful addition, making for memorable evenings with homemade pizzas. The gaming room was fantastic, with a good table tennis setup that provided much fun and entertainment for kids. Overall, this accommodation was a true gem. The quite atmosphere, combined with excellent amenities, made for an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind in a beautifully equipped and peaceful retreat.

Beautiful house with stunning views, extremely clean, everything you need for a holiday was provided. Weather fab which was a bonus, great communication throughout. An enjoyable holiday for all of us.

We spent 4 nights in here and absolutely loved every second. Lindsay and Kaye are lovely people, the place was wonderful enjoyed sitting in front of the warm fire. Despite not being able to use the main pizza oven due to being very damp outside we used the Ooni in the games room which was still a great experience. Hot tub under the stars was special. Comfortable beds and great decor. Toddler loved the space. Great couple of restaurants nearby including Flora cafe which Lindsey recommended which is outstanding a must eat. Thank you for being exceptional hosts. The fresh flowers throughout were not unnoticed. See you again soon Hulusi, Cifaa & Leyth
