Beachfront holiday rental in Melmerby

Have stayed in Southerness many times but this is the first time staying in an airbnb and won't be the last. Lovely property close to all amenities.

Had a lovely two night stay at Alison's place. The house is located right near the seafront and only a short walk from the town centre. Great location. It's a clean, comfortable space and Alison is a very friendly, responsive host. Highly recommended stay

Lovely stay at Powfoot over Christmas. Carolyn had very kindly put up lights and a Christmas tree for us which was extra special - thank you. Excellent instructions and detailed information about the house and the surrounding area. Also to highlight to take care on the mud flats when the tide is coming in. We enjoyed visits to Mabie Forest, Drumlanrig and Caerlaverock castles all recommended even on an atmospheric (wet!) December day!

Reg and Lynn were very helpful from start to finish. The house was lovely and the area was beautiful and quiet. Our dogs loved the beach, which was only five minutes walk away. We would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our weekend at this lovely little apartment, the location was fabulous, literally a few yards from the promenade for a walk, handy as we had 2 dogs with us. Margaret was absolutely lovely, she even bought me a little present for my birthday, a lovely touch. Lots of little touches to make it feel like home. The hamper of goodies was most welcome, lovely quality items. I would 100% recommend this for a stay. Thank you Margaret

Lovely place to unwind and relax. If you want to stay in one place and appreciate the sea and the accommodation then this is your place.

Best spot on the park - couldn’t get any closer to the lake. Accommodation amazingly clean and well kept. Comfortable beds and great showers. Kitchen well equipped although didn’t do any cooking during our stay. Can’t fault the accommodation and location although we were not impressed with the service at the Park Dean resort. There was an internet problem when we were there which affected outside the park too. Not an issue - these things happen but there was not a single sign at reception, at the restaurant tables, at the bar. Not one member of staff mentioned it as we spent 15 minutes trying to use the QR code to order food, spent 10 minutes queuing to order at the bar to be told cash only. Had to go back to the lodge for our wallet only to find out the cash machine in reception had no cash in it. Complete waste of time which a simple sign could have prevented. We went into town and had an amazing Italians instead.

Thank you for the stay - we had a lovely time. Only thing to mention is the heating was a bit tricky (wouldn’t come on at all the second day). Otherwise, stay was lovely and the caravan was spotless and came with everything we needed. No WiFi (as far as I know) and limited phone signal but this is what we were looking for so no issues.

Contacted vikki at short notice for my wife’s birthday, response was quick and very friendly with lots of information about our stay . The property is immaculate and so comfortable, even to the point that we had made plans for meals out and a night out but we opted to stay in and enjoy the comfort and completely relax! I’ve only just started using the Airbnb app and this was my first booking experience…. I hope every other booking I make is as good as this one!

Brilliant caravan everything that you could need was provided, the only negative for myself personally was the phone reception was none existent inside but it was ok outside, I think Wi-Fi would be the only improvement but I’d definitely stay again

We had a lovely short break over the new year, the lodge was very homely and had everything you need. It was very clean and tidy and had a great view of the lake which was right outside. Vanessa was very helpful and was always available and had great knowledge of the area. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks

Had a fantastic stay in this lodge. Location was amazing lots to do locally. Hosts were very observant helped in anyway. Lodge was spotless and everything you need. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic stay, a lovely spacious static. Stayed for 4 nights during New Year so was very cold and windy outside. Loved being inside, heating was very good. It’s exactly what you would want. Location is great and just 10 minute drive away from anything you may need or want to do. We will be back!!

Lovely home in the lakes with a fabulous view over Windermere.

The Sunny House was the perfect place for me and my family. Hana and Tony were extremely accommodating to our needs. Everything you would need, an impeccably clean and modern house and great location for The Lakes. When I'm back up again I will be looking to stay here. I highly recommend.

Just back from a long weekend in Blackpool and as annual visitors this is by far the best accommodation we've experienced - clean, spacious and comfortable, easily within walking distance of the main attractions though public transport is nearby too.

Brilliant spacious home, perfect for hosting family from nearby. Everything you need is provided and the location is ideal for dog walking on the prom.

What a truly amazing place to visit, and a lovely place to stay. I would highly recommend it for a quiet getaway, truly stunning views and beautiful. Perfect if you want to switch off. Loved every minute and we will definitely be back.

The ad, while already great does not do the house justice. The house was incredible and everyone of our guests loved it. there were plenty of cups & plates etc. The private sauna was the standout, and each bedroom and toilet throughout was a great size. I would highly recommend Onyx House to anyone

Lovely peaceful break, nice walks on sea front. Good hot bath or shower option. Good nights sleep. Hana was helpful for where to go locally, pub, food etc. Facilities in room are great. Would recommend and defo stay again if in the area.

The stay was very good, apartment was super clean and had all we could ask for. Location is far enough from the main part so it's not too noisy but not too far that it's walkable. Will stay again

We loved our stay at west view beach house. The waves at sunset were incredible. It didn't bother us during our stay in February but we did notice that there weren't any curtains or blinds that covered the front bedroom or living area windows. There were two screens provided in the bedroom that didn't quite cover the window that we were able to change behind but it did feel slightly unnerving having no privacy after dark with a public beach outside and we wouldn't fancy being woken with the sun at 4am if we'd stayed in summer. If that could be remedied then it would be absolutely perfect. Regardless, we will definitely be back 😊
