Townhouse holiday rentals in Melbourne City

I highly recommend Lyndall’s home for your stay. We came from the US for my son’s wedding. The location was excellent just a few steps off Lygon to restaurants and tram stop in one direction and around corner to park and fabulous coffee shop with both savory and sweet bakery options that we visited daily during our stay. The main House has everything that you need, kitchen with large table for dining and all amenities for cooking. All beds very comfortable and baths and showers wonderful. Washer dryer was so nice! We rented the main house as well as guest suite in back which was perfect for us as we were 3 adults and 2 children. The guest suite was very comfortable with queen bed private bath. And was a wonderful place to retreat in the evening . The back yard space has a large table which we used everyday! Lyndall was an exceptional host from my first communication. We arrived to breakfast food in fridge, toys and books for our kiddo’s. She made us feel welcome, love to come back!

Lovely house in lovely area. Easily walkable to restaurants/cafes/ships etc. Bedrooms comfortable, had a really heavy quilt. Maybe not necessary for everyone. plenty room to move. Nice outdoor area even though it’s a tad small. Although a new carpet was just laid upstairs, the whole place needs a lick of paint. And cleaning needs to be better. Dust and cobwebs in high places and behind doors. Very noticeable. Toilets could do with and upgrade. The large bathroom upstairs could be doing with a new toilet bowl! It was caked in dirt. Bought rubber gloves and scourers to try clean it but it was caked on. Would have needed a hammer & chisel to get it off. Not pleasant. Kitchen area was ok, bit dusty above head level. Ice machine was on and we would not have used it, it was really dirty inside and needed a good clean. Water filter needed replacing in water container it was disgusting also. Could be a spectacular house instead of mediocre. Attention to detail & more cleaning needed.

Bright and cozy, with a fantastic location. Functional amenities and cool rooftop garden - this was a great place to stay in Melbourne. The kids enjoyed the local park and we enjoyed the local wine bar.

We really couldn't have asked for anything more from Helen's Town House. l felt it was all an Airbnb should be, in terms of the many personal touches we found when we arrived, which made our stay very comfortable. All the rooms were very clean and it was nice to have a Patio area at the rear of the house with decking. The location was perfect for our needs, with coffee shops & Bakeries nearby. l also used the local outdoor swimming pool which was just a short walk away. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is a great place to stay for a family; plenty of living space downstairs and two living areas which is perfect for the kids. Spacious and nicely maintained we felt right at home. Short walk to Carlisle Street which is bustling with restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Easy to jump onto the tram and walk around. There’s also a kids playground at the end of the street for the kids so all round a great spot!

When we first stumbled upon Andrew’s place on AirBnB, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. We needed somewhere for a longer term rental as we were relocating from the UK. Andrew answered all of our questions, provided us with a floor plan and additional photos to assist us with our choice. He was super helpful, honest and friendly and put us at ease, instantly.

The house is just perfect - very clean, modern but homely, comfy, and had everything we needed to feel at home. The bed is super comfy, en-suite shower superb and the living room balcony excellent. Location is incredible - close to the beach, Elwood Sourdough (delightful!), 10 mins walk to Acland Street, 15 mins in the opposite direction to Ormond street shops - Great for our 3 month stay. We had a wonderful stay at Nina and Brian's apartment. The location was excellent—close to restaurants, a supermarket, and public transport, with the city center within walking distance. Nina and Brian are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with them about our travels, and they kindly shared recommendations for destinations they had personally enjoyed. Since we visited during Christmas, they even surprised us with a thoughtful gift and a card, which was such a sweet gesture. They are exceptionally helpful and respond very quickly to messages. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone seeking comfort, safety, and a convenient location near the city center while still enjoying the peace of a quiet neighborhood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The location was fantastic—conveniently close to both the tram and metro stations, and within walking distance of numerous restaurants and parks. The rooftop was a highlight, offering stunning views of the city, especially during the New Year festivities. Kim was an excellent host, always responsive and helpful with any questions we had about the property. Overall, a wonderful experience!

A great place to stay in vibrant Smith St Collingwood. So many restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. The classic terrace has been fitted out in a lovely style and the living space upstairs is a fabulous and spacious room. Kizzi & Michael were very friendly and responsive, helping out quickly to fix a small problem. Unexpected bonus was the courtyard with the basketball hoop.

A great spot in the heart of Carlton! It was so useful having a tram stop right outside the house and while it was on a main road, it was lovely and quiet. All amenities were clean and easy to use, making our stay super relaxing. We stayed during 35 degree heat so having the aircon upstairs was also amazing. The hosts were very friendly and receptive and we would definitely stay here in the future!

If you need a place in South Melbourne, look no further! Incredible host, beautiful house and the beds are AMAZING! So comfy, I didn’t want to leave! A nice quiet street but also close to the hustle and bustle of South Melbourne. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here!! I would highly recommend staying, we felt so comfortable here as the house is amazing and the neighborhood is so calm and beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable with was a huge plus, the kitchen was full equipped with everything you would ever need, and the living room was so comfortable for movie watching. An added bonus was the beautiful office space which was perfect for us since we both work remotely. Overall it was a 10/10 stay and I would definitely come back!!

The place was fantastic for our needs. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked and having a balcony was nice too. The garage is a little awkward to get in and out of depending on your car, but otherwise the place is absolutely perfect.

Fantastic location, easy walking distance to the city and many venues nearby in Port Melbourne. Very close proximity to Marvel Stadium, perfect for our event there.

Great, spacious apartment in a quieter part of Northcote. Really enjoyed my stay and will be back for sure!

Great location with lots of cafes, restaurants & supermarket all within a few minutes walk. Apartment was tidy with basic items such as body wash, shampoo, tea & coffee. Staircase was a wild steep spiral staircase which was all good for us but would not be ideal for those with low mobility. Kitchen had all necessary items set up for cooking. Could do with new towels in bathrooms as they were white & had stains on them. Host communicated well, was very polite and gave clear instructions & was available to answer any questions :)
