Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Mauritius

Gilbert and Nadia are great hosts. The photos are as described and we had a great time in the villa. Very secure location right opposite the police station in the heart of La Gaulette. The villa exactly matched the description and photos as shown. Gilbert is a top superhost who went above and beyond to make sure we were able to check in early as well as arrange tours for us to do seaplane rides, snorkeling and dolphin viewing. Very reliable and friendly person. Highly recommend working with him.

Excellent stay, the villa is perfect for large families. Siddick is a particularly responsive host and does everything to make our stay easier. The value is unbeatable. I would highly recommend it.

A beautiful villa, with access to the sea. The villa is fully air-conditioned. The decor is splendid. A true haven of peace. We loved the living room and very comfortable private pool after a day of hiking. The terrace is beautiful. 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. A sheltered location to park the car. Villa under supervision. Access to the large infinity pool next door is also a plus. There is no kayak as shown on the listing page. A supply of drinking water is available. I would recommend this Villa. We spent a fabulous week there. Thank you.

We spent a total of five weeks at the villa in January 2025 and had a great time. It is very well located, in 5 minutes you are by car in a large supermarket (Super U), just a little further on our favorite beach in Grand Baie (La Cuvette) and in 15 minutes to other beautiful beaches (Perybere and Mont Choisy). Walking in 15 minutes you are at the harbor where you will find many restaurants, bars and shops. The villa is very well equipped, in the kitchen there are many kitchen appliances (blender, toaster, kettle, capsule machine, blender, etc.). Beds are very comfortable and equipped with lots of pillows and different blankets. Wifi works very well, the TV is equipped with smart TV. The pool is a dream and is professionally cleaned twice a week. The host Mehtaab is a treasure and always available and super helpful! One note: There is still a lot of construction around the villa, making it often louder and dusty.

House is absolutely stunning. Very well equipped kitchen, master bedroom is huge with breathtaking views. There are 4 bedrooms in the house, all with private bathrooms. The pool and deck were fantastic. It was so nice to sit there and just look at the ocean! The property is located approx. 10 min walk (2 min drive) from the main street and the beach. A shopping center with a grocery store is also super close. Athalie was very nice, super flexible and helpful. She gave us a detailed tour of the house. It was really nice to meet her. The only thing that was a problem and may be a problem in the future is the roof over the staricase. It is made of glass and unfortunately leaks when it rains. Since the leak was quite big and required a lot of work and effort from us to keep the house dry, we assume that it would probably be fixed very soon, so it may not be a problem anymore.

Quiet but convenient to amenities and the wonderful beach of mont choisy 10 min. walk away. Bus stop to all other destinations 100m away. Spacious apartment with large terrace wonderfully exploitable both day and night, fully equipped kitchen with small appliances available and basic necessities available such as sugar, coffee, salt, pepper, oil. Spacious air-conditioned rooms with comfortable beds and huge bathroom with shower and hot tub with shampoo, conditioner, and soap available. Washer with relative detergent very useful for those who, like us, have stayed for a long time. The real PLUS, however, concerns the owners, Radha and Michael, who are really available and discreet, always ready to assist you with every small request for help. As great travelers, we can say that we have never found hosts so attentive to the guest. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We had a wonderful time here. In fact, because of the view, private pool, and the nearby small public beach, we didn't venture out of the house on day 1! Host had provided snorkeling gear which we could try out in the beach along with many local families. Yes, we could spot some coral fishes though it was not much. Grocery shop, London Way, is about half kilometer by walk though up and few mins by car. Kitchen is very well equipped boasting even outdoor Asian style stove and bbq. We used that as well as the oven during our stay. Our host, Mr. Young Kim, was very helpful and prompt during checkin and responded quickly for any queries/help. Many games including cards and hammocks are available to relax. Living room, Bedrooms and bathrooms are large with beautiful beach views from the bed itself! and furnished just enough with no clutter.

We had a wonderful stay, which we will look back on with great memories. The house is older, but very charming, especially the exterior with a fantastic porch with wonderful views of a jungle similar to the sea. We could sit on the porch and enjoy the sight of the kids playing in the pool and parrots and bats flying through the garden. The house is located in a residential neighborhood within walking distance to a nice supermarket, but would recommend renting a car so you can get around to nice beaches and sights on the island. The beach in front of the house was not a big deal. Elizabeth, who greeted us, was very friendly and available before and during our stay. The house was a perfect base for our exploration of the south of the island. We would definitely recommend this house as it is good 'value for money'.

Great place, great view, awesome stay. It is as pictured and with a stunning view over a beautiful infinity edge pool. Spacious living room area and direct access to outdoor dining area (with electric shade in case of rain). Easy access to nearby restaurants and groceries. Nice induction hob, big fridge and combo unit 'Nespresso' style machine. Daily clean up. Very helpful host with recommendations and local information. Definitely highly recommended if you want to stay someplace special in the Black River area.

Our second time back at Villa Vanille and can’t wait to be back despite some issues and maintenance related challenges you can read in the other reviews. The Villa is super beautiful both the decoration and the pool and outside area. There was definitely enough space for our two families. We loved the big pool over 20 metres long and enjoyed the swimming many times a day. The villa is located in the Sofitel hotel area and we also used the beach for snorkeling, swimming in the sea and walking on the beach. And you can hear the waves from the villa a well. The tennis court was also in use every day. What made our stay very special was Poornima’s cooking every day for lunch and dinner. Her dishes were so delicious and she came up with great suggestions daily. Also Vishwani’s housekeeping was a bliss every second day.

Modern house, well equipped. Very convenient to have 3 bathrooms. Thanks to Karen and her husband for their hospitality and responsiveness. Close to the beach, restaurants and activities. Our children enjoyed the pool. Everything was on top!

It was indeed a great and beautiful place the view is stunning and well equipped. Enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back again. Cindy the maid is very nice person.

Had a great week at the apartment and used it for a base for traveling out as we had a car. The lolocal beach was nice and quiet and easy walking distance.

One of the best villas to stay in Mauritius outside the tragically expensive resorts, highly recommended

The Villa was beautiful, we felt right at home. The place was spotless and clean. There were a few ants, but this was most likely due to the rain and climate. Being from the Caribbean it was understandable and Fernand was very responsive and helpful. The Cleaners were so lovely as well. My sisters and I felt so welcomed. Fernand recommended things to do and places to hire a car etc. I will definitely book to stay there again. The Pool was so lovely, nice and refreshing.
