Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Matosinhos

An ideal place, a nice house with space, to have a holiday with a family with larger children: something for everyone! By train you are easily in lively Porto, always a Bolt driver nearby to take you to nice places such as the beach on the Douro (Arnelas) or the somewhat more adventurous places like the Arouca Bridge, as well as enjoy beautiful sunsets, delicious coffees and waves brave just 1 dune away. Antonio received us very well and always responded very quickly

Wow I really enjoyed the stay. The place is impeccably styled and is very conveniently located. The host is awesome and we were fed a daily supply of crazy amount of bread and pastries. What is not immediately clear from the photos is that the place is in a vicinity of a big port, but that is actually a very interesting view to see so we're more than enjoyed the stay and would totally come back again.

Very good place to stay as we were looking for something close to the airport. Simple and very nice house. We had at our disposal various types of coffee and tea for our consumption. Highly recommended.

There are so many positive things about this house. Very close to the train, shops, grocery, the beach, and the town has everything you'd need. The yard is very well fenced for dogs. The location is quiet while being very central. Got the best sleep with the black out shutters, beds and linens were comfy. Luis was a great host, very responsive and we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place.

We spent an extended weekend together at the casa serena. We felt well taken care of from the first minute. The location right on the beach is excellent. Life on the beach consists mainly of seagulls and fishermen who let their boats float. A great vibe, really authentic and not at all touristy. We will definitely come back, we enjoyed it very much.

Marie was great. Easy to get to Porto. 20 minutes on train 2 miles bites away. Wonderful serene setting. Everyone was so comfortable and warm. Easy beautiful walk to May great restaurants. Will definitely come back!!

Very clean, large, functional apartment. Bruno is a very welcoming host. He picked us up from the metro, took the suitcases and 3 of us because we were 2 adults and our 4 children, which was not planned so nice surprise. Only small downside to the fairly busy road and the neighbor above who moves his furniture in the middle of the night with his dog that you can hear walking. Despite this, I highly recommend this place, very well located, a 5-minute walk from the beach. Vila do conde is a very beautiful city to visit and can be easily done on foot in 30 minutes. Our 5-year-old daughter also walked the 15 20 kms daily. We had a lovely week of vacation.

Apartment as described , quiet location and advantage of private garage on the very central location

The host is very kind, friendly, will help you introduce the surrounding attractions, transportation, and recommended directions, the kitchen is very well equipped, everything you need to use, mainly the washing machine has a washing and drying function, you don't have to go outside to find a laundry shop, it is really very convenient for backpackers.

We had a great time at Tiago's flat. It is a large handsome flat, with comfortable living room and bedrooms. Some of the furnishings could do with a refresh but it is clean and well maintained. Tiago gave us lots of recommendations of what to see, which was great. Excellent value for money. The neighbourhood is lovely. Within walking distance you have (amongst many things) the Casa da musica (beautiful auditorium by Dutch architect Rem Kolhaas, I would really recommend taking the guided tour and seeing a concert there, they even have shows in the summer. By the way, the café is great and has good food for a reasonable price), a very nice bakery (Royale Pão Paixão), an excellent arty book shop (Flanneur), a few shopping centres and a nice restaurant market (Mercado do Bom Succeso, the seafood stall was particularly good). What's also great about the neighbourhood is that it is less busy than the centre, so it was great to go back there after a day seeing the sights in the centre.

This may be the best place to stay in Porto, of course, in Portugal! The view from the window is really great and better than the listing. Despite the new year's vacation, Lisa, the host, was very kind and quick to respond. We had babies and elementary school children, and they had the utmost care and cleanliness so that they could have a pleasant and enjoyable stay as well. If you have a lot of carry cases, it may be a little hard to get to the area, but it's definitely worth staying!

Carlos is a great host of his unique, spacious apartment, which was cosy so that we felt here like at home but also very special, having it‘s own soul. This apartment made our mood for the whole stay in Porto. We enjoyed it‘s spaciousness where every family member could find a comfortable place for her/himself and a common space for all of us. We especially enjoyed stylish bath (and toilet). Kitchen had everything we need. There was a cosy fire in the living room. The location is calm but very close to the city centre. We loved this stay and would like to come again!

Really a very nice apartment. Big, bright and amazing views. Everything you need is here. Marcos is helpful and responds very quickly. Nice and close to Porto and beautiful hiking opportunities along the promenade. There is a fine restaurant right across.

A few kilometers from the center of Porto, in the small town of Avintes, the house is ideally located, both close to shops and in a quiet residential area. The garden is beautifully flowered, although given the season, we did not enjoy it much. The rental is on the first floor of the house; below are discreet tenants. The interior is very clean, pleasant and large: three bedrooms including one with dressing room and master suite; a nice very bright dining room, a well equipped kitchen, and even a small laundry room, which is a plus. Food supplies (oil, salt, sugar, etc.) are to be brought by guests. The highest quality of this rental is definitely its owner, Manuela. She took great care of us, always attentive to everything, giving us very useful advice regularly. Congrats and thank you!

Joanna’s friend Cristina welcomed us upon arrival and was responsive to any inquiries we had. They allowed me to have a dinner party there to celebrate my 40th birthday with a recommended private chef Emidio to share Portuguese cuisine. The property was incredible! Recommend during summer months to enjoy the pool. Thank you Joanna and Cristina!

Beautiful home in amazing location! Antonio’s place was incredible. More than enough space for family of 5 with really picturesque courtyards for enjoying the mild temperatures plus it was just across the street from the beach. The home was well-appointed, clean and had all we needed to make meals at home. It is a truly special place and Antonio was a wonderful, responsive host. We loved the restaurant he recommended. Can’t wait to come back again!

Elisa and Luís were unforgivable to make their stay in their home a great time for our whole family. The lawn was provided for a beach volley field that fit perfectly, which became the cherry on the cake.

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

Manu is a very welcoming host, with lots of good advice on sightseeing (cellars on the Douro....) and must-see places. Recommended without hesitation. The accommodation offered is as described and has a lot of space (very well equipped and very clean)

The Villa was clean, super spacious and equipped with everything you might need. Just a 2 min walk from the beach, with a bakery and some restaurants also close by. Everything worked out just perfect and we had no complaints and Clara responded to messages relatively quickly. We really enjoyed the Villa and our stay. The only issue was communicating with the person who we had to contact when we needed something once we stayed at the Villa, response to our questions was usually late.
