Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Matagorda County

One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at. Beautiful property on the water with an outstanding spacious clean house. The back yard is fully fenced for your pups a major plus (fenced yards are hard to find on Airbnb). The property is very well kept and there are no briars in the grass. The fire pit is conveniently positioned off the enclosed back yard, near the lake. Bring fire pit tools: long poker, long log grabber, and a shovel. Fishing is exciting, there are so many fish to catch. We were merely fishing for fun, catch-and-release, so we only caught small catfish and bass. There are lights near the doc/firepit area, but we could not figure out how to turn them on, so we purchased battery powered lanterns. The house is beautiful with plenty of room. The kitchen is fully equipped. Wifi works great and there are 3 big screen TV’s downstairs. The bedrooms all have extra pillows and blankets (major plus). The owner is great and responsive.

I've stayed with Janet before and will definitely be back again. The house is comfortable, clean and has everything you need. I love this place!

Our time at Heidi’s was great. It was such a comfortable space and very well stocked with all the necessities we needed during our stay. Would highly recommend this home to anyone, especially those booking an extended stay!

Wonderful and peaceful! I love the deck and the night sky was beautiful. We tried fishing but were not lucky, however, we did see dolphins! That was great. Easy to park close to the beach, just 1/2 mile away. Bed was comfortable and the window unit kept us cool at night. We would stay again!

Second Summer to stay at Wave on Wave! The pool and fishing dock are just what we are always excited about! Fishing was exceptionally well this year. Fast and friendly communication was given when needed. We cannot wait to return!

Salty Dog was responsive to any and all questions and concerns that we had even before our arrival. Place was neat and clean, and we had a great time as a family by the pool making memories. There are lots of pool toys in the garage to choose from. Highly recommended, great location, and we will be back again.

We had to leave the unit due to damage from the hurricane that the owner was not aware of. Owner was very responsive & immediately processed a full refund. His quick considerate response was much appreciated

Exactly as described, peaceful surroundings, everything we were looking for. Perfect location for unplugging from daily life, and enjoying time with family. Pictures did not do it justice. Definitely recommend to anyone looking or some family time in a peaceful private environment.

This place was absolutely REMARKABLE! The family and I as well as our fur babies had the most spectacular time; of course with the help of Ms. Kim! Ms. Kim answered all of my questions, VERY friendly, and just all around a great person. Cannot wait to visit again! 10/10!!

These condos were perfect for our group. Just a couple minutes drive to beach and short drive to boat launch. The kids enjoyed the catch and release on property. Patti will get right back to you if needed. Would stay again.

Everything was as described and as expected. Communicating with John was very easy and he was helpful. The location is convenient for both the pool and the beach.

The house is beautiful when you walk in, everyone was very happy. The house was cool and felt very relaxing. The beds are very comfortable. I really enjoyed the soaps and lotion in each bathroom by the sinks. There is an overabundance of cookware in the kitchen that I truly enjoyed. The coffee and tea bar were one of my family's favorites to wake up to every morning and pick a new coffee or tea to start the day. The back porch is very nice, but the deck by the water is breath taking and relaxing, we would just go and sit and talk. We also had our puppy with us, and Debbie supplied bowls for food and water for our Chopper which made it even better. We locked ourselves out and they came right over and unlocked the door with a smile. I would recommend Palm Haven to anyone looking for quiet place to stay and relax. In fact, my family wants to go back to the same house next year.

Absolutely beautiful!! My family of 5 enjoyed our stay!! The home was just as described, very clean and comfortable. The weather was just perfect!! We did need mosquito spray, but walked down to the beach easily. Our favorite space was the front deck. We sat there for hours. We saw a buck in the back yard and many birds. The sound of the ocean was peaceful. The place had everything we needed. Matagorda is tiny and lovely and Bay City is close for groceries. All in all so thankful for our time to recharge our batteries in the sun and sand!!

We had a great time despite the rain. my son and his girlfriend fished all weekend of the dock. Caught lots of fish. The area was still torn up from the hurricane. So sad to see all the destruction. The house was lovely, and we will defiantly be back.

Laura was very helpful. Her husband is a fishing guide, which will be helpful next time we go fishing. All went well.

This RV site was absolutely fantastic! Having full hookups made everything so convenient, and the added bonus of the cozy cabin with a bunk bed brought even more comfort and flexibility to our stay. The location was perfect—peaceful and relaxing, yet just a short drive to the beach, which made it an ideal getaway. Mohsen, the host, was amazing—very responsive, accommodating, and genuinely thoughtful. Highly recommend, and I can’t wait to return!

The place was great. The only thing that we did not like is No lights on the pier for night fishing. We couldn't night fish. We didn't know we had to bring our own lights. Other than that it was great. Thank you for allow us to stay at your place.

House was amazing! Just what we were looking for! The kitchen was the best for hanging out and playing games! Lots of room for fishing and just down the road from Sargent! We loved the room names. It was such a cute idea. Mitch was the best host! Answered all our questions very quickly!
