First of all, Susan is an incredible host. Her communication is top-notch, which I truly appreciated. There are so many little things that she has in the house that many other AirBnB's don't have. From extra chargers to extra pillows. That type of attention to detail created a really great experience for my friends and I. As for the house itself. You won't find a better value on the entire site. The house comes equipped with a nice hot tub, a pool table, a beautiful fire pit, tons of space, and it all rests between a few beautiful rock scrambles that provide a real sense of privacy that truly enhances the "getaway" feeling. I can't recommend Susan and her beautiful home highly enough for anyone searching for a nice mountain vacation. My only complaint is that I didn't book a longer stay!!

I can't remember the last time i felt that relaxed. It's so peaceful and all the windows really made you feel like you were in the middle of the woods. There was no snow the night we got there, but we woke up to a couple of inches of snow in the morning. It was beautiful! Jason showed up and plowed the lane so we could get out. I would highly recommend!

We did a last minute booking for our big crew of two families and it was the perfect location and house size. Room for the parents and the kids to spread out and spend some fun time. We came to the area to snow tube at night and decided we just wanted to stay. The kids loved that you could watch them rebuild the hill! The house is easy to find and located in a great location with tons around. Check in was easy and we were greeted by a nice cozy, warm house after our drive to the area. Contacting the office for any issues is super easy. We couldn’t get the fireplace to light and they sent someone right to us. We had already booked our tubing, but they gave us a refund of the discount offered as a guest. There is a lot of highway noise and noise as they rebuild the hill, so just be prepared and bring ear plugs or a noise machine. The office does offer ear plugs as well, but we were just fine and so tired that it didn’t bother us! Thanks for the hospitality!

The place was fantastic! even though we were close to the trails/national park, we ended up spending most of the time on the property with our dogs. There was an insane amount of space for them to run around/enjoy themselves. The views are great, the house was clean and had everything you needed for a nice little get away. Definitely considering coming back.

We very much enjoyed our stay!! This was a great location for our Labor Day Weekend trip. It was very conveniently located near River Riders and a quick drive to the National Historical Park. The house was clean and Laura responded quickly to our messages.

Dan’s home is like stepping into a home of history and adventure. There are many pieces to view of his endless journeys throughout the world. The home is situated on a high bluff overlooking the Potomac. The views are gorgeous and many birds can be seen and heard. The gardens and plantings around the house breathe life to the landscape. The home itself is updated with high end kitchen and baths. Master bedroom is spacious with an en-suite bath. 3 other bedrooms are very nice as well. Our stay was lovely and would recommend this home highly.

This farmhouse is a lovely quiet getaway. Beautiful surroundings. There's plenty of edibles in the home too. I love the eggs and bacon available in the refrigerator!

Place was perfect for my family. Clean and great location.

My husband, dog, and I had a great time! We stayed for two nights on the weekend. The place is definitely not easy to find on your own but Tara gave great instructions! We did have a truck, so it was easier to navigate up the hill in the snow, but for others, I would keep that in mind. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The kitchen had everything you'd want, a hot pot stove, coffee machine, coffee, and a toaster oven. And the bed was really comfortable. 12 minute drive into Harper's Ferry, and walking distance to the closest C&O trail. Would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful place to relax and unwind. Huge yard to enjoy many yard games and large fire pit area. This was our second time staying here and its for a good reason. The house is great with many levels and deck space. Our favorite part is the floating deck on the water. We enjoyed fishing, getting our feet wet and tubing.

So many great things about this place. Probably first and foremost however is the thoughtfulness behind it all. Kitchen is very user friendly, all lights in the house can be dimmed. Little signs everywhere showing ways to make your stay more enjoyable. Guitars and percussion out on stands ready to play. The desk is the perfect height, and looks out onto an endless stream of birds and woodpeckers at the feeder. This is the closest I've ever seen birds, as they hang out right outside the kitchen window too. Sunlight streams into the south facing windows. Art supplies abound, and art/pottery as well. Never a lack of things to look at; tons of books about building, buildings and art. So quiet. Perfect escape from the city. Walk out the door into the woods or drive to more parks/woods nearby. One of my favorites, and we've been to a bunch!

Grateful for this quiet upstairs space for a get away around a meditation day retreat in the area. Comfy bed, delish tea and snacks provided, great shower, too. Communication was timely and helpful. Unfortunately I had to leave a night early due to approaching winter storm and I appreciated the refund. If staying in winter, consider bringing a pair of slippers to walk on tile floor in the entry way.

Nice spot. Host was very accommodating to some unforeseen circumstances that forced us to change our trip a bit, which was very kind.

We were a group of 6 so we utilized a 3 bedrooms and all 3 floors of the cabin. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, & utensils. I do wish there were more seating as we had to spread between the couch and dining chairs. There is a second couch in the basement as well. All beds were comfy and showers were hot with great pressure.

Staying at Villa Maud was a dream! Beautiful property and surroundings. Maud was a friendly and gracious host and we absolutely loved being by the pool and watching the sunset from the little patio. Couldn't have asked for a better stay for my little get-away. Can't wait to return!

Our stay at this warm and cozy farmhouse was perfect for our group of 11 adults as we celebrated my sister's birthday. The furnishings were all comfortable and we had what we need for our weekend stay. Everyone truly enjoyed themselves and we look forward to returning some day. Jessica was very responsive and the booking was seamless start to finish. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at Janel's place and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. We loved the fireplace and views from the A frame windows. The hot tub wasn't working unfortunately, but things happen and Janel was communicative about it. Had a great weekend regardless. Also love that Janel is accommodating of dogs. Our fur babies were happy to join us on our getaway.

The place was charming, well stocked and very comfortable. The communication was great and we would definitely rent again.

This was our 3rd year renting their Potomac Overlook home for our family Thanksgiving and once again, our entire family loved staying here! The home is spacious with plenty of bed- and bathrooms plus super-comfortable beds. And the property is absolutely beautiful with its Potomac River-front location and plenty of very usable outdoor space. We highly recommend it!
