Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Marco de Canaveses

Myself and my partner booked four nights at Cesar and Paula's beautiful vacation rental and loved it. Everything was perfect and our hosts were a joy to meet. They are the most lovely, friendly and helpful hosts you could hope to encounter. Apart from helpful suggestions, Cesar went out of his way to assist us with tasks we were planning. They both personally showed us around the property and even gifted us a bottle of his rose wine. We stayed in Casa 1 (but also saw the other rental options) and can say that the attention to detail, the interior design, which works really well with the restored stone buildings, is outstanding. Another fantastic feature is the gorgeous pool overlooking views of the Douro. We know we'll be back here soon!

The property is beautiful. You can sit on the patio and watch the world go by. There are orange and lemon trees, and vineyards to enjoy. The views are phenomenal. Our host, Marta is one of the most gracious, friendly and helpful people we have ever met. We would return in a heartbeat!

The place is lovely, with all the comforts of modern life, but with the moth of an old conserved farmhouse. The attention to detail is immense - the decoration, the comfort of the bed, the wonderful and complete breakfast. Although the dining and pool spaces are common I never felt it was a problem - there was always space and the spirit of the guests was to “not disturb and not be disturbed”. Hosts are extremely friendly, prompt, and kind. You couldn't have made a better choice, you just want to come back soon.

Well designed house, spacious and very cosy. Leonardo left us firewood to ignite the fireplace in the living room and, along with the central heating, the house was left with the perfect atmosphere for cold winter days among friends.

Lovely house well furbished with all your needs. Relaxing neighborhood bit tricky to get to but once your there is beautiful views and worth the drive.

Great stay in Penedo village. Very welcoming host who is very welcoming and attentive to guests. Beautiful house. Beautiful location surrounded by calm mountains. excellent service (daily pool cleaning, shearing and lawn watering...)

I had a wonderful stay at Susana’s place! It was easy to find, and Susana was incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our questions. The location is perfect, offering a peaceful setting with stunning mountain views. Plus, there are plenty of grocery stores within a quick 10-15 minute drive.

This home is a gem! We love it! It is so spacious with 4 bedrooms and a huge terrace the size of a one bedroom apartment. The view through the huge windows overlooking the neighbourhood and forest is so beautiful and relaxing. However, you must have a car to go about as not much is walking distance (also no side walks). The place is quiet but not too quiet. The road at the front gets quite busy sometimes but the noise is not disruptive at all. The huge table in the living room was perfect for working remotely. The white lighting in the house is great for working. There's also a lot of sunlight as there are sliding doors in every room. It can get cold sometimes but the house is not humid at all, and the AC heating heats up the house easily. Shower is great. Spacious bathrooms. The kitchen is huge with everything we need for cooking. We're also really grateful to have a dishwasher! Diana is very friendly and helpful when we have questions. We highly recommend this place and the host! :)

I highly recommend staying here if you want some peace and quiet. Beautiful views, great kitchen for cooking, and greats hosts. 10/10

Grateful to the hosts for their friendliness and kindness. We were extremely welcome, along with our 3-year-old Labrador dog. Shortly after our arrival, we had a small guided tour as well as an explanation of the property and surroundings. Despite the bad weather that was felt during our stay, Mrs. Dulce and Mr. Rolando ensured that nothing missed us. The hut is a not very large space, but enough for a couple, very comfortable and quiet, where we can experience peace and tranquility in the midst of nature. Great for those who need to rest and "charge batteries". We recommend this place and we will return again.

We are very very thankful to Helena and Luis. They are very sweet, helpful and amazingly kind. We felt right at home in this absolute stunning place. It is a bit difficult to find, but Helena was a great help. We LOVED it and enjoyed it to the max! We will be back for sure!

Miguel's place is a small paradise, the area is beautiful and the accommodation is fully equipped, Miguel is a 10 host, I was careful that everything was perfect, very friendly and close. We had an amazing few days, thank you very much Miguel for everything

Very nice cabin with a view of the Douro. Our kids (ages 4 and 8) loved the environment. We hope to return in summer to enjoy the terrace and pool with a view. Thank you Paulo for your welcome and responsiveness in communication.
