great little spot! Well worth it for a quick ski trip

Brad and Rose’s lake house is a perfect lake side get away. The location is beautiful and surprisingly convenient for being 30 yards from the border. The house is 20 minutes from Newport and 30 minutes from Jay peak down well maintained road. We spent the week skiing at Jay Peak during a two foot snow storm and were very concerned about being able to access the house since it is down a long drive way that slopes down to the lake. We spoke to Brad and Rose who made special arrangements with their plow guy to clear us a spot at the top of their driveway to guarantee we could get out on the day of the storm. The plow driver also reached out personally to make sure he plowed before we needed to leave. The drive way was plowed three time on the day of the storm and atleast 7 total during our stay. We were able to get in and out no problem even from the bottom of the drive way and the roads to and from the mountain were easily passable with 4 wheel drive (Subaru Outback). Would recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Eric & Mel’s place! From the moment we arrived, Eric made us feel right at home with a warm and friendly check-in. Their home is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly peaceful—a perfect retreat. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, making meal prep a breeze. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Would love to stay again!

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful home. It is fully stocked with everything you could need. It is clean and modern with lovely view of the surrounding trees. The fireplace and soaking tub were lifesavers after a long day at the slopes. You won’t regret booking this Airbnb for your next stay. We really hope to come back someday. This was a wonderful staging home for Jay Peak, which is mere minutes up the road. It’s also a few blocks away from Jay General Store. This really is a perfect home for skiers looking to hit the mountain. The driveway can be a little perilous with snow, but the owner was really responsive reaching out for contractors to help clear it. Our family loved our stay here and would happily recommend this for friends and family, or anyone looking for convenient mountain access. Thank you!

We love Prouty house. We’ve stayed there a few times for the winter swim festival and I’ll be there this summer for a long swim. The house is large and can easily accommodate a family or group. The table is a perfect place to gather for meals. The beds and couches are comfy. Andi is friendly and responsive. It’s a great place to stay. 🩵

We had a lovely stay at this chalet! Particularly enjoyed how close to the trailhead it is, and how nice the hot tub and sauna is. Extremely responsive host!

Great ski in/out location. Condo had plenty of room for our family of 4 and had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. Wendy is very responsive and made the arrival/departure very easy.

Claire’s place was better than her pictures. Everything is renovated and clean and generous. We loved our stay, great parking, great host. We brought our Apple TV to put Netflix on the TV I recommend you do the same since it’s a cable TV.

Lovely place!! My family and I were looking for a great ski getaway with ski in/ski out access, and we found it at David's place. The condo is well equipped, clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the ski slopes. We had an amazing time and would love to come back for a second stay.

This was perfect for our weekend ski trip. Place was spotless, the bathroom had heated floors, parking was easy to find. It had snowed and the hosts had already cleaned out the snow for us!

Julie puts lots of personal attention into the comfort and details of the stay—lovely books, ready firewood, luxurious beds. The whole place was very warm and peaceful. And as a horse lover I really enjoyed meeting Robin and Tony and her wonderful care for them!

Will be back again! Great and very sizable town bedroom rental. Amenities were fantastic. Easy to find and check in. Close proximity to Stanstead and Magog.

What a beautiful spot. We had a perfect trip. There was a small issue with the internet before we got there. Marie Josee communicated everything to us and made sure it was all taken care of. She went out of her way to get the internet fixed on a Saturday. The house is so quiet and private at the end of the road. Felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Our whole group was very impressed. Nice finishes, well appointed rooms, fully stocked kitchen. Can't say enough good things about it.

Comfortable and quiet place near Compton! Beautiful house that has retained all its charm and very close to bike lanes! Spacious room, very clean and comfortable bed! I would go back there without hesitation! We recommend this spot.
