Condo holiday rentals in Madeira Island

We had a lovely stay in the Barreiros neighbourhood of Funchal. As others have mentioned, the check in process is exceptionally smooth, with our host waiting for us on the road at the entrance to the apartment. Great to have a secure parking spot - it’s tight to park, but once you know to reverse in from the garage entrance it’s actually fine. Apartment has everything you need for a medium/long stay - dishwasher, washing facilities, all kitchen equipment was excellent. Would recommend.

Great apartment, clean,comfortable beds,a home from home, gorgeous sunsets from the terrace ,Miguel a super host, fab communication with him and he gave us lots of local recommendations for restaurants.

We spent 11 days in the apartment, it is very well equipped, comfortable and pleasant, and ideally located for visiting the island (car needed, easy street parking). Cesarina is a very welcoming hotel, responsive to messages, and offers documentation of the island in several languages, appreciated. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Small space but good layout. Good for couples. Great hot water in shower. Adequate supplies for simple meal preparation. Friendly helpful hosts. Provided excellent suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing. Good location for accessing restaurants, shops and sightseeing.

Large, well-equipped apartment with fabulous balcony. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds with good quality bed linen. Unfortunately during our stay there was excavation work being done (8am -5pm, Monday to Friday) at two building sites nearby, which meant that if we returned to the apartment late afternoon it was just too noisy to take advantage of the balcony - hopefully, once the excavation work has been completed, completion of the buildings will be a much quieter process! Other than the building noise the location is excellent, quiet and a ten minute walk to the heart of Funchal. Irina responded immediately to messages and was very understanding when we lost a set of keys.

We had a fantastic stay. Julie is very kind and accommodating. She allowed us to check in and out outside the regular times. The apartment is beautifully located, offering a stunning view of the sea and the city. Thank you really much Julie!

Alexandro was extremely responsive regarding the check-in procedure and on arrival was waiting at the entrance. He then proceeded to show us the apartment and also the car space in the basement. He kept in contact with us during our stay and recommended places to visit and eat. Having been to the area before we knew exactly where the apartment was located. Although building work was being undertaken nearby this did not affect our enjoyment.

Good accommodation in Madeira, very good value for the price. Located in Camara de Lobos, very nice area (it is advisable to have a car, area of many slopes). Very close to Funchal, 15 min drive. The apartment is just like the photos, very clean and tidy. The only catch I would put is that there is some noise because the front door has a grille-shaped part through which air and noise comes in, but it is fixed by closing the door to the main room. Eugenia is very attentive. Highly recommended accommodation!

I loved my stay at Nelson's place. It's even more beautiful than the photos and the apartment is very big! Balcony views are breathtaking! Nelson was very quick to respond to my messages. Large public parking directly from the building to the accommodation. Quiet little village surrounded by banana plantations. I would 100% recommend!

Nice apartment in a perfect location! Close to everything. Only downside is that the bar next door could be a little bit noisy, so bring earplugs. would recommend to stay here

It was our second stay in Fatima's apartment and we were once again very satisfied. The view is spectacular and the apartment has everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped to do some cooking. Also, the restaurant at Paleihro Golf nearby is really good and closeby - if you have a car. Fatima is quick to answer any questions. Thank you for another lovely stay!

We had a very nice stay in Adriana's apartment. It felt like we were the first. Clean and cozy, modernly furnished. The location is great and the amenities except for a dishwasher perfect. The only personal preferences would be softer mattresses. We also always found a parking space in front of the apartment. The pool is also great for relaxing after a trip. Thank you. We will be happy to come back.

Well appointed apartment. All the features of your own home. The 2 bedrooms are en-suite. Plus a service bath for guests. Air-conditioning / heating ensure for a comfortable stay. Lovely daytime & nighttime mountainside views. Located in an area easily accessible to small markets, cafes & a pharmacy. It’s about a 30 minute uphill hike from the Avenida do Mar district. Easily accessible to the airport. I’d suggest taking a taxi / ride share from the airport only because the airport shuttle bus drop off is a bit of an uphill hike to the apartment. Overall, a really great apartment for either a short term or extended visit to Funchal.

We had a fantastic time at this Airbnb in Madeira and with a clear conscience, I can say that this is one of the best places you can choose to stay in Funchal. The apartment was spotless and extremely pleasant. The kitchen was well-equipped-we found everything we needed to prepare meals there, which is a huge plus for people who like to cook on vacation. The living room was spacious and comfortable, with a brilliant couch where you could relax after a day of sightseeing. The biggest advantage though was the view of the ocean – it was just breathtaking! Contact with the owner was top notch – fast, helpful and very friendly, which made the entire stay even more enjoyable. The location also deserves a distinction – it's the perfect starting point for exploring Madeira's charms, both Funchal and the further corners of the island. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a unique place to stay in Madeira. We will definitely be back!
