Holiday houses in Machupicchu District

This was a truly authentic experience staying in this very old house set within a small courtyard where there is a souvenir shop. Quiet and well placed to walk around the town. For anyone with mobility issues the internal stairs up to the bedroom are steep and narrow. Great for those who want to know how people lived hundreds of years ago.

Diana (and Juan) were absolutely excellent hosts. We had a beautiful time in this gorgeous location. We were traveling between Cusco and Machu Picchu and were happy we spent a few extra days in Ollantaytambo. The flat is cozy, and has an incredible view. Having morning coffee surrounded by lush greenery, or falling asleep to the sound of raindrops while being comfy inside has been one of my favorite Airbnb experiences so far. Thanks for everything. Amazing city, such a spacious place in Ollantaytambo, close to many things and very relaxing

It was a great experience the jewels of this stay is the hot tub and the large and spacious bed precise for a restful rest after touring machu Pichu It is important to note that the accommodation is on a second floor separate from a local restaurant, although the apartment is also important to consider it because to enter and exit you will have to cross the premises. The other important thing to consider is that it is next to the train tracks, although they provide plugs for the hole and sleeping glasses, you usually feel the movement of the terrain by the passage of the railway The rest 10/10

This home is a dream. The host, Dana, was incredibly communicative and helped me in numerous ways not directly related to me stay. For example, she recommended me an amazing guide for Machu Picchu and also helped me find the best places to get Alpaca goods in Cusco. As for the home itself, it's truly singular. You feel as though you have a little slice of the Andean mountains to yourself, even though you're only a ten minute walk to the center of Ollantaytambo. It's hard to describe how peaceful it is to wake up in this tiny home surrounded by the sounds of songbirds and a nearby river. I should also mentioned how secure the property is: it is only accessable via a bridge over a rushing river. This bridge is blocked by a heavy, large door to which you have the key. That is all to say, I always felt safe even during my solo stay in this remote area. If you're looking at this listing, just book it!

A sense of countryside in the city! We were in the peaceful nature, away from noise but with all the advantages of the city that is just at the end of the street. Juan is very helpful, he even agreed to keep our luggage for the Salkantay trek. We took a room with him again when we returned to his other building in town (El ariero guesthouse), this location is also great, the view of the mountain and the ruins is exceptional. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful tranquil apartment, with stunning surrounding. Perfect place to relax and explore Ollantaytambo. We felt right at home from the beginning and really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely friendly, helpful hosts. Will definitely come back!

I am quite well traveled and use air B n B often. This place is the nicest air B n B I have stayed in, everything we needed, clean, comfortable and very stylish. The area is one of the most beautiful I've visited and it's an extremely good location for visiting Machu Pichu by train and Cusco by Colectivo bus. Finding the location and checking in was very easy and the hoast is very professional. The bed is comfy and the t.v and WiFi make it a good place to rest (which is a big benefit when getting used to the altitude). Great place and thanks again.

Juan was an excellent host and the shared terrace was beautiful. You can easily walk to the town center, ruins, and train station. Room was cozy and quiet and I liked looking out and seeing the chickens every morning.
