Holiday rentals with lake access in Lunenburg County

We chose this place because it was close by and it is Winter. We had a big snow storm the day of our arrival. Fortunately we only had a 20 min drive and yet it felt like we were in the woods. Robert greeted us and showed us around his lovely home. It was a place where the whole family could spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. All eight of us declared it was the best family Christmas we had in a long time. The beauty could be seen from every window. We were provided with everything we needed to have meals together and to play games and the young adults loved the hot tub. Robert had a beautiful Christmas tree set up and there was lots of little cozy spots to have one on one chats with each other. We realized after meeting Robert that he would be so cool to hang out with but he had other family plans. We are seriously considering making it a new Christmas Tradition.

We were celebrating a 50th birthday with a spa day nearby. The 4 bedrooms was a dream! The house had all we needed and then some. The host was amazing from beginning to end. Responsive. Proactive. Friendly. We spent 2 stormy nights and we're cozy the whole time. Thanks for the great weekend.

The spot was perfect for us, a great little cottage by the lake. The lake was gorgeous! Chris was very responsive for all of our changes in schedule and questions we had and even left us a little welcome gift of some snacks and drinks. It was incredible and we would stay there again! also it is much closer to Halifax than you think! Turn on tolls when looking because everyone uses the toll bridge and it's just 1.25$ at time of writing and it saves 20 minutes to get into Halifax!

We have stayed here a bunch of times in the past and everytime we have a great stay. We have everything we could possibly need and it's close to amenities that you may need. Thanks again for hosting us..it's always a pleasure to stay here!

A very cute and cozy retreat from the city. It was so peaceful to fall asleep to the sound of the flowing river. Wish I could have stayed a lot longer than the weekend!

Our family had a fantastic Christmas at Deanna’s. It looks exactly as advertised, and is just really comfortable. Deanna was very helpful and timely in responding to questions, prior to, and during our stay. She was very flexible and accommodating to meet our timing needs. Awesome location and view. The accommodation is great, well taken care of and great for a family stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The host was incredibly responsive and friendly. The unique setup of the house added a special charm to our experience. The third room, although it has a single bed and no storage, is perfect for kids— I know my little one would absolutely love it! Despite the stormy weather, my stay was cozy and enjoyable, and felt right at home. I'd highly recommend this place for a memorable and comfortable stay.

I think that if we were to rent again we would stay in the summer.there was more to offer for summer fun. Mabe a hot tub would be a sajestion but overall it us a beautiful place and i would recommend

We stayed at Matthew’s place for 2 weeks and it had everything we needed. On occasion there was some noise from upstairs, but thats to be expected from a basement suite, nothing over the top. Our walkway was also nicely cleared every time it snowed. Would loved to have taken advantage of the lake so hopefully the next time we come to NS it will be warmer.

First time using air b&b we had chosen to stay at Abigail’s unit 3. The location was great. It was close to all the places we wanted to go, which wasn’t planned, we just lucked out it was as close as it was. The place was clean and super easy to find for a couple out of towners. She was extremely friendly and responsive to messages. The television had Netflix so we could watch whatever we wanted to watch when we were not out and about. This was a great first time experience and I would recommend Abigail to everyone travelling to Dartmouth! Thanks again Abigail!

This is a nice place, very comfortable mattress, with well equipped kitchen, and a big plus is a super firm sand beach and Lake Charlotte boat ramp close by. Had an excellent 3 nights here. We recommend The Diner char grilled burger a few minutes east of Webbers Store (which is currently closed) which gives this 2nd floor apartment and deck considerable privacy.

Beautiful basement suite with full kitchen, bathroom with toiletries, washer and dryer and a lounge room with streaming services and cable. Lovely setup with separate entrance for privacy, easy to find and easy instructions to get in. Snacks, juice and bottled water also provided. Would recommend. Only thing that would’ve been nice to have on hand would be a fan for the bedroom and a hair dryer, otherwise everything was great.

Thank you for being such lovely hosts! We immediately felt right at home. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and quiet. It was a wonderful place to wake up to the snow. Thoughtful amenities, lots of space, comfortable places to eat, drink, read and watch Christmas movies. We didn't want to leave. So much generosity was extended to us due to the storm, and I look forward to returning! We very much were well taken care of.

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

Very clean and quaint spot to stay at. The theatre room was fantastic. Made my weeks stay a great time!

This guest home is amazing and a vibe that reflects the awesome personality of the hosts. If you are looking to get away and relax this is your place, the patio and hot tub over looking the ocean and the claw foot tub and fireplace inside were amazing features but many more touching features that make this a perfect getaway anytime of the year. We will be back and recommending to others!

WOW ... This secluded cabin is more than a 5 star rating ! What an amazing few days we spent at Mark and Adina's beautiful property. It was everything we could have asked for .. for a few days of R and R !! We LOVED the coffee bar ..the hot tub ... and the morning sunrise was a once in a lifetime moment. The BIRCHWOOD is worth every penny if you're thinking of getting away for a few days of peace and quiet. Mark was so sweet, checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Would HIGHLY recommend this Air BNB !!!

Excellent location, quiet, and friendly host. Great for a couple, yourself, or a small family. I greatly enjoyed my time here and would happily come back in the future. Space was clean, internet was excellent, and comfy furniture.

The Lake House was a wonderful place for our group (and dogs) to spend time together and celebrate New Years. There was lots of room for our group to relax, enjoy meals and play games. The hot tub was nice to have, and there was ample parking. Jolena was very responsive before and during our stay - thank you for a wonderful stay!

we absolutely love Arnels place , the games room in the garage was lovely we spent a lot of time with family and friends out there, love the fact that there is a wood stove in the garage and the cottage . The cottage had everything you needed plus more. The hot tub and the charcoal smoker were added bonus can't wait to come back again to go kayaking, and paddle boarding on the lake in the warmer weather . The back deck with the gazebo is another great feature and very private setting!

What a fantastic experience! Our hosts were communicative and made sure we had everything needed during our stay. The property was peaceful, private, and stunning! A snowstorm arriving overnight was met with messages offering for us to hunker down past checkout time until roads were cleared! So thoughtful and accommodating. Still, never felt trapped since Christopher made sure to plow us out first thing making sure we felt we could leave when ready. This place would be a treat any time of year and can't wait to be back.

Everything was wonderful at this cottage and guest house that accommodates 8 people! Despite the rain on the weekend we selected, we had a beautiful family getaway. Alex and family have a beautiful spot on a quiet lake. The cottage is open and fresh! They provide a fire pit with wood, games, toys, canoes, etc. but all we really needed was the space to gather and the gorgeous lake view and access. Alex provided excellent instructions and was very friendly and accommodating. We are truly grateful to have been able to enjoy such a lovely place!
