Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lower Garden District, New Orleans

Edward was the perfect host - very responsive, friendly, informative and flexible. We felt right at home in the neighbourhood - lots of great bars and restaurants close by, but also very quick into the city centre. We would highly recommend Edward and this house to those who are looking to spend a few days in New Orleans.

Hello Mark , we loved your place & really enjoyed our time in New Orleans. My only complaint would be that it’s advertised for 6 beds & we only got 5. One of the rooms was locked which stated no guest access so we followed the rules. Other than that i would definitely book again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brenna & Nicks place. Excellent accommodations, great location, very walkable to City Park, trolly, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Would definitely stay there again if available. Very friendly host, pleasure staying there.

Could not ask for a more perfect location for such a reasonable price. We will definitely put it at the top of our list for our next visit. The proximity, less than 6 short blocks, to the streetcar line means you can easily access all kinds of attractions. There was also lots of street parking across the street from the stop. The home was just as described. Older home, with just minor imperfections, that has everything you need for a decent sized group. 7 of us stayed and easily worked out bathroom usage, especially because there are plenty of conveniently placed mirrors. The washer and dryer were a great addition as well. Look forward to visiting again.

This was a great stay in a very good location! We have been coming to New Orleans for years and this has been our favorite! Lots of great space and amenities. Will definitely be back! Alleshia is an outstanding host!

We loved this house! The location was close to shopping and restaurants. The house was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The main living area was spacious, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Even though the weather our weekend was colder (45 degrees), our kids were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub for hours a day. The pool is clean and heated and even had lights at night. We had a hard time getting our kids to want to leave the house they loved it so much. Excited to visit again!

I booked Kay's Airbnb for my mom and her friend, who are in their 70's and had a dream of visiting New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Kay treated my mom and her friend like family and invited them to watch the Fat Tuesday parade with her. Kay was great with communication from the time we considered booking, and understood that my primary concerns were that my mom was safe, comfortable, and close to the parade route. My mom and her friend had a great time, and the airbnb was a nice place to rest their heads after long days exploring. I would not hesitate to book with Kay in the future.

Great location to walk to all the great restaurants and shops on magazine. Very convenient to the parades as well. Overall a great place for the weekend. Casey was responsive regarding check in and check out and very helpful.

What a fantastic stay! Owen's place is absolute gem located in the wonderful Lower Garden District, a few feet from Magazine Street. I felt like a true local. As a native New Yorker I enjoy being able to walk a city and Owen's place provided that opportunity. You are just about a mile away from some of the best restaurants on Magazine Street/Uptown and a mile (in the opposite direction) from the start of downtown. My visit was during an incredibly busy time in NOLA where Uber and Lyft were not easily accessible due to road closures (it was the Super Bowl), but I had no problem walking around and getting everywhere I needed to be. Not to mention the space was absolutely beautiful. I would absolutely stay here again!

Our first trip to New Orleans and we feel lucky to have stayed at Tim’s place. Great location just off Magazine Street and easy to get around on foot and on the trolly. Home has lovely features and is cute, clean, comfortable. Tim is a fantastic host and provides lots of helpful information. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

It was our family's second time staying at this charming 2-bedroom rental just a short walk to the ferry. Dionne is a friendly and easily accessible host. We will be sure to rent this unit again.

This Airbnb was great for my team while working in NOLA. The place was centrally located, great for walking to restaurants, and was a nice place for my team to come back to after a long day at work.

Martin was proactive in ensuring our stay was comfortable and that check-in was easy. He asked ahead of our arrival if we would like an extra twin mattress in the rental which worked out perfectly for my family, and he arranged to meet us upon arrival to explain the optional phone app for unlocking the front door. He also took a few minutes to explain some things about the house and offered local recommendations. Appreciate that he did this in an efficient and friendly manner as it had been a long day for us , and we just wanted to get settled in. The rental was very clean and comfortable for my family of four as we spent 2 nights in New Orleans, and the neighborhood felt safe and like a respite from the busyness of the French Quarter yet still very convenient either by car, street car or Uber. Lots of great restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance.

This was my 4th stay in New Orleans and my first time staying on this side of Canal street. We were in walking distance of everything and the location was perfect. There is a market right underneath, The Little Bar right under as well. We also got a pedicure at Eva Salon downstairs from the apartment. Love this place and would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Gigi’s place for a Mardi Gras trip and couldn’t have asked for a better location. We were right in the heart of all the action with our own balcony to retreat to whenever we wanted! Plenty of restaurants and shops, and the streetcar picks up right outside. Gigi and David were very responsive and were even able to provide recommendations on where we could park our car for free during the parades. This is a stay that’s worth every penny!

Great place, just as described. Everyone is right- the bed is amazing. Plenty of towels, tp, paper towels. Very, very clean on a quiet street. Even though we didn't get to use them, it's really cool that there are 2 electric scooters available to use. Very thoughtful!The only thing missing was no bakeware and no mixing bowls, though there are a couple of pots, skillets and a slow cooker, which is nice. Would definitely stay here again!

The best part of this condo was its location. We were here right before Mardi Gras which still entails a lot of festivities including parades. The condo is less than a block away from the parade route which was really fun. Regardless, the condo is in walking distance to everywhere...restaurants, French Quarter, riverwalk, bars, shops, etc. Mike's pictures to access the condo was extremely helpful, although it is a bit difficult to physically get into the building as other individuals staying in the building also needed help (the door is hard to get open). We were a party of 4 and had plenty of space...huge living area, open kitchen, bedrooms were good size. We had plenty of amenities and there was nothing we felt was missing. The property management company was extremely responsive and constantly sent us communications before and during the trip. If you are looking for a key location, this is the place to stay.
