Holiday rentals with lake access in Livingston County

Melinda was an amazing host to say the least. She was very responsive to all of my questions (and I had a lot) and never made me feel like I was asking too much or a bother. The home was clean and had everything our family needed for a nice weekend stay. If you are looking for a nice home to stay in beautiful Howell, I recommend this home.

Beautiful log cabin style retreat on the lake. We felt like we were far away in northern Michigan but only 30 minutes outside of metro Detroit. Really responsive host and a good value. Appreciated the flexible check-in and being able to bring our two small dogs. Lots to do in nearby Brighton too. Highly recommend!

This place was awesome. Lots of space in the living room and dining area. Outside space was spectacular, dining area, fire pit and dock. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Christina's beautiful lake home. It was warm and inviting when we arrived, had everything we needed and most of all it was super clean. This lovely lake home would be our first choice if we were in Brighton again. Christina went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful and was very responsive with any questions we had. Cute modern lake (Tiny) house with many amenities. Probably the cleanest rental I’ve stayed in so far. The hosts were accommodating to our needs! Traveling with a baby, this house was perfect for us. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay! Closer enough to Ann Arbor but felt quiet and peaceful in a beautiful setting! Loved the lake and peaceful setting.

This might be my favorite home that I’ve stayed in using Airbnb! Hanna Hospitality was super communicative, proactive, and kind. The home itself felt extremely clean and like a family home. I spent most of my time out in downtown Clarkston, but pretty much stayed on the deck or in the water when I was there. All of the furniture in this home was clean and comfortable, making it easy to lounge indoors and outdoors. The bed was almost more comfortable than my bed at home. The home is as described, and even cleaner than expected. The only challenge and my reason for the four stars: it was a bit frustrating to get into the front door. Hanna Hospitality provided clear directions for the keypad, but it’s weird that you had to “wake it up.” I hope I get to stay here again each time I visit Clarkson! Thank you for this wonderful stay!

Lisa was a wonderful host and even met us at the door when we arrived to make sure that we were settled in okay and knew how everything worked. She checked in throughout the stay just to make sure everything was okay which I appreciated. I would gladly stay here again as it was the perfect location for when we come to visit Lapeer. The place was very clean and lovely and the appliances were easy to use. Thanks again Lisa!

Very nice, short stay here. Nice views of sunrise over the frozen lake! Not as much action in the winter time but I’d imagine this place is a great summer spot. Clean place with lots of nice amenities.

Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful experience at Dinara’s home. Everything listed was accurate and the town was nice with great restaurants only a few minutes walk away. Fully enjoyed my time and look forward to visiting again.

We traveled to the area for a wedding and appreciated finding a very reasonably priced place to stay for the 7 of us in our group. The house was clean and owners very responsive. As other reviewers have mentioned, the signage in the neighborhood against Airbnb's made us a little nervous, but we had zero issues with neighbors and the entire time we spent at the house was quiet and peaceful. The pizza place and general store near the house were great stops for food and drinks/snacks when we arrived in town. When our daughter forgot one of her dolls at the house, Greg quickly mailed it back to us which was very appreciated. If we had to do it over again, we would have gladly stayed in the same house.

We were so pleased to stay at this cozy lake house. Everything was just as described. The beds were comfortable and the area was so peaceful. Dave was very kind and helpful.

We loved this cabin. Real kayaks to use and are easy to access. The yard is amazing, neighbors are nice and gave us tips about the lake. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The house itself is incredibly clean and cozy, and has all the things you need. I read some previous reviews about the water; I can see why it’s surprising to people who have only had city water, but I think it’s pretty typical well water and is fine to use and drink. The owner also provided bottled water.

Great central location for visiting family in Michigan - east to get to lansing and Ann Arbor. Peaceful little place to relax

Lauren's place was just what I needed for a staycation for a mom that needed a quick break from reality. I traveled 20 minutes from Ypsilanti and had such a peaceful weekend in a beautiful location. The place came with everything you could need from bathroom essentials to cooking utensils/appliances. It was quiet, cozy, and just beautiful. As a solo traveler, I didn't need the upstairs but the room with two beds was awesome and cozy, this place would be perfect for 1-6 guests! I will definitely be back!

Very nice cabin in a quiet area on a small lake. Sherry was very friendly and responsive to our requests. This was the perfect "home away from home" for our little swimming adventure. we'll come back next year if we can.

Julie's place was perfect for a fall break getaway with my husband. The cottage was well furnished, super clean, and very comfortable. I hadn't realized from the photos just how close the lake is to the house! We spent a lot of time sitting out on the back porch enjoying the amazing view of the lake. We also appreciated the proximity to Ann Arbor for restaurants and all of the wonderful parks in the area for biking and walking. We'd definitely go back!

Such a cute place right on the water. Would love to be here in the warm weather but it’s beautiful in the snow too! Suzanne was such a great host! Highly recommend 😊
