Family-friendly holiday rentals in Leigh

We had a wonderful stay here, was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The flat has everything you will need including some snacks and fresh eggs. The hot tub was great! Susan was quick to reply and very helpful and friendly. We didn't have a car but it's easy to walk into the village where there is a lovely pub, fish and chips (cash only) and co-op. Speaking of walking, it is right next to a great trail along a sea wall looking over the salt marshes seeing birds and to my shock Blackpool. We had a great time and will hopefully be back again.

Could not fault the place ! Such a beautiful house , finished to a great standard and absolutely spotless ! Definitely would stay again 100% The only downside and I knew this before booking was the early checkout ! As you can’t check in until 1600hrs we believe you should be allowed to check out at the earliest 1100hrs ! However didn’t affect our stay and a beautiful place . Many thanks .

We had a great couple of days the hottub was amazing loved the fact there was a cover over it and you just came out of the back door and it was there , The bungalow was spotless with everything you needed great few days away i would love to return with my grandaughter maybe visit chester zoo thanks Tom

Thank you to our fantastic hosts. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The accommodation and surroundings were well kept and thought out. We had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. The wood fired hot tub and sauna really was the icing on the cake for our holistic retreat. Highly recommended - we will return :)

Wow !!!! I work in a busy city office and my weekends are precious. Sharon was very responsive when I messaged and gave clear helpful directions. From the second we crossed the duel carriage way it was like being transported to another world. It was secluded and very peaceful. The place itself was spotless and warm and inviting. It really was a home from home. It was comfortable in fact so comfortable we didn’t get to the hot tub until the following morning. Highly recommend this secret place. Lovely hosts explained everything to us. Loved it. Thank you

Loved staying here, great for kids and my two daughters particularly loved the animals, especially the cats! Emma was a great host and I would recommend ordering the hamper - was amazing. The cottage was clean and cosy and the views out of the window were incredible

Lovely and peaceful place to stay. A group of us stayed for my hen do and had the best time! In such a beautiful area and a bonus that there’s a great Chinese 2 minutes down the road!! There’s friendly alpacas and sheep in the field next to the property, it’s beautiful on a sunny morning drinking your coffee!

Amazing! Such a wonderful peaceful retreat. We loved it so much we have rebooked the Yurt for later in the year.

We had a great time in Lynsey’s ‘Little Barn’. It was both quirky and cosy and our kids were really excited about the mezzanine bedrooms and the table football. The barn’s in a stunning location and it was very quiet and peaceful. Lynsey was a responsive host but also respected our privacy. We would highly recommend it!

Jane communicated all we needed to know. Getting in to the property was easy. lovely bungalow, very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Good shower. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Local walks were fantastic, would definitely book again

Terry was very helpful and responsive. The Forge is very quaint, its clean but not pristine (decor is aging) but homely and comfortable. My parents found it a little difficult as the sofas are very low., and the downstairs bedroom option is only a sofa bed so wasn't suitable for them as I had hoped. But there was room for everyone and it was lovely and warm. Kitchen well stocked for Christmas cooking, although there are no numbers left on the cooker dials so that was a bit of guess work. The parking was a bit irritating as only one space at the cottage so loading and unloading of multiple cars was messy. Chinley is a fantastic location with lovely views, ample shops and pubs for all the basics and a nature reserve where you can let the dogs off lead. A great place for large families to come together to cook and eat together, various comfort levels for the beds which were basic, bathroom facilities very basic/dated. This large house was a Christmas Blessing to our family

Very quiet and peaceful location. Well appointed flat, cosy and easy to find. Corinne was proactive in providing check in details and making sure all was OK. The fresh milk and tea coffee were much appreciated on arrival due to December weather. Great transport links into the city by bus or train. The nearby Mersey waterside is impressive and only a short walk away. Would definitely return.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay this time as much as the last. Place is spacious and well kept. Owner is very responsive and helpful. Would recommend this place for anyone that needs space and a nice place to relax. I would stay here again in a minute.

Lovely cozy place to stay with beautiful rural surroundings. Scenic walks directly out the door and well situated for local attractions. A very peaceful and private place to stay with everything you can expect from a quality holiday cottage. Linda is a very kind and considerate host and not at all intrusive. We would highly recommend The Chicken Barn.

We stayed at the cabin for two nights with our two dogs 🐶 and we couldn’t have asked for more! The cottage is very cosy, loved the chandeliers; we had plenty of wood for the fireplace, kitchen has everything you need and Ruth even left bacon, eggs, milk, biscuits, jam and dog treats for us 🥳. I was particularly impressed with how comfy the bed was, even took pictures of the mattress and duvet labels to buy the same ones for my home! The garden is lovely and has beautiful views, we even spotted 6 deers in the morning whilst having our breakfast. I highly recommend Ruth’s cabin, we’ll definitely come back! Thank you, Raluca

Julie's flat is a spacious and well appointed accommodation, located on a quiet street but within easy reach of the local amenities. Thoughtful touches such as milk on arrival, tea and biscuits etc, give it that extra personalised touch. A lovely place to stay!

A lovely little house in a really nice neighbourhood. Walked into Hoole within about 12-15 minutes, really good sized Sainsbury’s and some really cosy pubs, The Faulkner Pub was a real find and food to die for. Got a taxi into Chester centre for around £6.50, only a 5 minute drive away. House lovely and warm , comfortable beds and lots of wardrobe space. Most definitely would return in the future.

Mirandas apartment is a gem in the vibrant city of Liverpool. Most local attractions/cafes/restaurants are a quick 10minute walk away. The apartment is cosy and homely and a beautiful space to relax in. It is warm and welcoming and it is very clear that lots of care and love have been put into decorating it. Miranda and Lenka were always responsive for any queries we had and also provided an extensive list of recommendations in the locality - lots of which we visited. We definitely hope to visit again!

We had an amazing stay over the Christmas period. location is perfect for walking into Bramhall and also a quick drive to other locations. The cottage was a perfect size for the 3 of us. Jo and Stewart were very welcoming. We will look forward to staying at the cottage again.

We had a very relaxing time in the house, with peaceful walks along the canal every day. The ground floor is spacious and well equipped. The upstairs has a great view of the canal and surrounding countryside. The area is quiet and relatively private. Poynton is a lovely village to stroll around, with plenty of shops and places to eat. We visited the NT property at Lyme Park, which was a 20 minute drive away. We would definitely stay again.

Louise’s Airbnb is the perfect place to use as a base for a trip to Chester, an amazing city with lots to see and do. The city centre and all its charms is a 15-minute walk away but don’t miss the gem that is Hoole, filled with lovely neighbourhood cafes, pubs, lots of super independent shops and only a five-minute stroll away from the Airbnb. The Airbnb surpassed our expectations, it is super-clean, very well furnished and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including an outdoor space for breakfast or a pre-dinner drink. Great location, great host, we loved it and we hope to be back soon. Thanks Louise!
