Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lanesboro

Rich and Meg's place was exactly what we were expecting! It was a great place to stay at while we were attending a ski race at Mt. La Crosse. Would defitiently stay here again.

Absolutely love our stay and would definitely stay again! The bedding, shower curtain, towels were all nice, not cheap hotel style. The house was so cute and the neighborhood was very quiet. Michael was so nice and very quick to respond to all of my messages.

We loved our stay at Maureen's house for our family Christmas trip. The house was clean and very organized. I appreciated the coffee bar. We were able to host our family "Christmas" brunch and there were enough chairs for all of us. The kids were very excited to eat at a "kids table" with the cartoons going. A great place to stay!

This is the second time we have stayed here, both times at Christmas. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas including a tree and outside lights. This is probably the best stocked kitchen I have ever had at a rental. There were lots of dishes, glassware, and pots and pans to make meals. There were also staples like flour, sugar, Zip-Lock bags, coffee and a vast array of spices!!! There were toys in the basement that my 7 yo granddaughter enjoyed. The beds were comfortable and many throw blankets to snuggle under if you wanted. I had a few questions for Holly and she was super fast at responding to me. We love this place and hopefully will spend more time here!

Nice quiet place. It was January and I was staying there because of work so I wasn’t looking for things to do…

This is the second year in a row we stayed there and have tentative reservations in for a later date in February 2026--just waiting for calendar as booking over a year ahead of time. Everything is as described and we love coming back each year. Nanette is a superb host.

Thank you Corinna and Mike for an awesome stay at Red Pines! Because I had to stay in Onalaska for 1 month, I had the opportunity to stay in their lodging twice. Both stays were amazing! Not only were the units so clean and well managed, but the owners are extremely friendly and quick to communicate. During my stay, they even changed to electronic door locks which make it even more convenient for guests to enter and exit the home. Not to mention, Red Pines Restaurant was a great alternative to at home meals! They also have a new cafe right below the lodging so that is open right before work! There is plenty of parking and the lake is absolutely beautiful at sunset. Everything about my stay was amazing! Thank you!

The stay in this charming older home brought warm memories of my grandparents. I almost expected to see a rotary phone or even better one of those old wall units with the earpiece that comes off by itself! Furnished in an older style, befitting the architecture, it wasn’t plush and elegant, but it was comfortable and warm. Love the bookcase/window box in the master bedroom. A few changes can be made, but I am sure this very responsive host will improve the space every time someone stays here.

This space was perfect for our big group. Plenty of seating and sleeping arrangements for everyone with tons of extra towels, pillows, and bedding. The location is a quiet and private spot along the river with beautiful views. We liked that it was within walking distance from downtown Winona and loved hanging out around a fire at the end of the day. Julie went above and beyond as a host, was easy to communicate with, and flexible with our checkout time so we could spend more time enjoying each other’s company in her great space!

Great apartment! Super clean! The kitchen had really great accommodations. Everything we needed was there. We had an extended stay so did a fair amount of cooking and really appreciated the pots, pans and the nice air fryer. Comfortable beds and the laundry was a nice perk too.

Very clean and comfortable place. The host was responsive and hospitable. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and everything was clean and tidy. Great place to stay in Decorah!

We really enjoyed our stay at Dawn and Christine's place. Communication was great, as was the instructions for finding and accessing the property. Great spot on the water with several neighborhood bars within a couple blocks. The place was spotless and had all described amenities. Easy check-in/check-out and we appreciated all the local recommendations. Would definitely stay again next time we are in Lacrosse.

We spent Christmas week at Viola Suites (#2) to visit our son. The apartment is cozy, clean and well equipped. We prepared a wonderful Christmas meal and enjoyed movies and our favorite TV shows with the streaming options available. Rochester is a compact town and everything was within 10 or 15 minutes from the Airbnb, with a grocery store, coffee shops and plenty of restaurants even closer. We brought our dog with us and the conditions of being pet friendly were easy to comply with. There was a path around the Airbnb for us to walk with him, and sidewalks and neighborhoods as well. When visiting my son again, I would definitely consider Viola Suites.

Trisha kindly made it possible for us to stay on very short notice. Just the peaceful respite we needed when fog disrupted our travel. A beautiful, comfortable place to stay in the beloved Driftless region. Thank you!

It was a very relaxing and cozy retreat, the place had a very homey and comfortable vibe. Every amenity that would be needed it had. Read a few books and enjoyed Decorah. It felt very private. Thanks for hosting us!

What an AMAZING TREASURE of a property!! We stayed in the middle cabin, which is conveniently closest to the restroom but not by any means “too close”. Despite having 3 cabins near each other, the views from the windows for the most part made us feel like we were the only cabin and completely surrounded by nature (the skylights with views of the tree tops from bed really took that “retreat” feeling over the top). Sweet bird chirps gently waking us up in the morning, a little hiking trail that was the perfect challenge and scenic level, and hands down the most shockingly clean and cute restrooms for a wooded surrounding just put icing on the cake. I’m very tempted to make the long drive back to check out some of the other properties she has that look equally as cool! Thanks for everything, Chelsi!

The photos, description, and reviews of this place do not do it justice. WOW! What a little slice of heaven. My husband and I stayed at this home with our three elementary aged children over a gorgeous fall weekend and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Jean and Joe did not overlook one detail. The kitchen was brand new, incredibly organized, and spotless. It had everything you could need to cook, grill, or bake meals. The bottled water in the fridge was a very thoughtful touch! The bedrooms were perfect for 2 adults and 3 children. The bathrooms were clean, stocked with towels, and had plenty of everything you’d need. We spent the weekend fishing off the dock (dozens and dozens caught and released 🎣), playing games, and reading books. What a treat! Thanks for sharing this tranquil oasis with us, Jean and Joe! We can’t wait to visit again soon!

We had a wonderful stay. We were greeted with a fresh baked loaf of banana bread and a lovely welcome card. Traci was very responsive to my questions and reached out ahead of time to provide more information about getting to the location. If not for that, it would have been more difficult to find. We had such a great time here! The cabin was beautiful and the setting is so quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed many hours in the hot tub and had fun exploring the little town of De Soto. Porks bar was our personal favorite!! We are hoping to come back and make this an annual couples trip. Thanks for the best birthday getaway!

This cabin is very clean and comfortable. It’s large enough to be adequate in terms of a place to rest, freshen up, and prepare a small meal. It’s not very private, as the front door of another cabin is less than 10 steps from your front door. But if all you are looking for is a clean, convenient place to base out of while enjoying outdoor activities and sightseeing, this is a great option, and the price is right. Highlights are a decent view of the river and a comfortable bed. There is a fire pit that is shared with the other cabin; it’s a pretty small pit so you won’t need much firewood. Jeff reached out the day after I arrived to check on my experience, which I appreciated. All in all, this was a great stay, and I will definitely consider staying here again!
