Beautiful colonial home in heart of Patzcuaro!

Omar is terrific -- friendly, helpful, proactive. The property is about 1km from the main plaza, which makes for a bit of a hike., but it's a straight-line hike. ,You park inside the property, which is great since you don't have to worry about your car on the street. That lower level is where the kitchen is, so you eat/cook right by your car. The four bedrooms are up a flight of stairs on the next level. One has an en-suite bathroom, the other three share a bathroom. One more level up is a patio, which has very nice views. The kitchen is very, very well equipped -- even a tea kettle, thanks Omar! The house has no heat or a/c, which is expected and normal for this climate, so that's not a complaint. Omar has provided plenty of blankets, and two of the bedrooms had space heaters, which were wonderful for our January visit.

This is our second visit. And we are very grateful to Ignacio and Chava who were always attentive. Good care and communication. We travel with two dogs and everything in order. We really like the place as it is quiet and has everything you need for a pleasant family time. Check in is easy.

Everything was excellent, we had an inconvenience with the one bathroom door, it was closed and there was no key in the house, she had to go to the house to open the door and charged us a fee for going, it would be nice to leave a set of keys for the whole house. As an improvement it would be nice to have a small dock to board the boats and kayak as you get mud dirty when put in the water. Generally speaking, all is well.

Our stay at this cabin was amazing. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves to the fullest. The place is impeccable, with every detail taken care of perfectly. The ecological bathroom was a new experience for us, but we were surprised by how well designed it is and how functional it is. Without a doubt, an excellent idea that contributes to caring for the environment. My boyfriend and I had a very cozy stay, surrounded by nature and tranquility. The environment is completely beautiful, ideal for disconnecting and enjoying the moment. Definitely a place we'd love to return to

I very much enjoyed my stay with Julio and his wife. This was my first long-term stay in Mexico. I was looking for a place that was safe and secure, and within driving distance to interesting locations. Driving in Mexico is not as easy as what I expected, so I did not travel around much. But that was not a such problem for me since my biggest priority was to stay somewhere I could decompress and do some work. I was more than satisfied with this accommodation. I found a space here with Julio and Emilia that was perfect for me. They are amazing people - very kind and responsive. I loved this time with them!

Our Cabin

The cabin is in a well-kept place, very comfortable with an area to roast, rest and see the stars and garden for dogs to play. The mackerel is basic but nothing is missing, a full bathroom, new and clean and a second floor where the bed is, a small balcony and an armchair, all very functional. We opened the curtain and were able to see the stars from the bed before sleeping. Julissa was attentive to everything with quick and very kind responses. We would definitely stay here again.

The place is very nice, very quiet and everything is clean and in good condition, it is really worth a getaway to rest in the nice rooms/cabins with a fireplace and a beautiful view in the place, we will be back soon, just bring everything to prepare your coffee with fire and not with electricity.

The place is as described very comfortable, clean and spacious , with a very nice view. Everything was in order, my family and our pet really enjoyed our stay. Antonio's dad is extremely friendly and all the time he was attentive to what was needed. We would definitely come back.

Benjamin was very attentive and was always on the lookout, the place is perfectly located, 1 block from a small garden and 2 blocks from the square, so one can rest away from the movement but go for a walk and eat. The place was beautiful, warm and very comfortable, there was everything to have a good stay.

The photos don't do the place justice, the house is really nice, Benjamin is attentive at all times, I told him that we were traveling with a baby and he was kind enough to buy a cunita, on our arrival he gave us blueberries that they grow there, it was accessible with our departure and entry time, totally recommended and always attentive to everything
