Holiday rentals with lake access in Lake Monona

This house is in such a wonderful location. The view out the front window is amazing. Doug is very friendly and accommodating. He has labels on everything along with directions on how to use appliances. Some of his labels express that he has a good sense of humor.

This cabin was the perfect place to reconnect with family. We played games in front of the fireplace in the large living room, the kids whispered secrets to each other in the loft. My husband and I enjoyed a little time in the hot tub under the stars. The view of the river is spectacular. It's such a cozy home.

We had a lovely stay here over the Christmas holiday with 4 adult siblings from out of state. Our host, Gayal, even reached out beforehand and asked if we’d like her to set up a Christmas tree for us, which was very kind and helped us feel more “at home” and festive! The home was beautiful, well furnished and decorated, lots of fun art, comfortable sleeping arrangements and a fully stocked kitchen. Very close to downtown Lake Mills and grocery/liquor stores etc as well as family we were visiting. We appreciated there being a few kids books and toys, puzzles, and a high chair, for our little niece who spent one afternoon with us. We are very grateful and would definitely return. :)

This lake house was amazing. It is completely updated. The view of the lake was incredible. Sitting by the fire and fishing. Could not have been better. The location to our events was great. Close to stores and restaurants. Just Dow the street from a park. It was perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

Cozy feel! Spacious enough for three couples. Great view off the living room. Nice touch with coffee station and welcome snacks. Felt as comfortable as home!

We've stayed here many times and the house is perfect for our group. Brittany is very responsive and the kitchen/dining room/covered deck is great for hanging out. We will be back again!

Celine’s place is a wonderful place to visit. Very clean and spacious. Hot tub was well maintained. She is very accommodating. My group and I would highly recommend!

My sister and I were visiting family nearby over Christmas and need a place for everyone to stay. Fawn went above and beyond to create the perfect Christmas stay for our family. She communicated frequently and made sure to leave a pack'n'play, child's cot and stroller for the kids, and decorated the place to feel like Christmas. Plenty of space, nice winter views of the river, and a wonderful shower! Would definitely stay again!

Ben’s place was perfect! Modern, comfortable, VERY clean - - we had everything we needed! Ben checked in with us at least twice a day (via app/email) to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay amazing! I’ve stayed in A lOT of air bnbs and I have never had anyone come close to how excellent Ben was at communicating and providing such a clean and comfortable stay. I’m pretty picky - and I have NEVER written a review - this is the first air bnb place and host that met all of my expectations. Thank you Ben! (I had sent A LOT of communications/requests that Ben responded to quickly. He accommodated all of my requests and was so polite with the barrage of requests I sent. I’m not always the easiest person to work with/please - - Ben went above and beyond!)

Benjamin is a standout host. He was very communicative about everything, professional and welcoming. The apartment is so peaceful and cozy, it was a perfect winter stay to break up the monotony of a cold January. The beds were VERY comfortable! I may have had the best sleep in a long while at this location. Don’t hesitate if you’re looking in this area; Ben will get you situated and informed of the location. 10/10 stay!

Alexander's flat in Madison was perfect for our stay. Right downtown, a stone's throw from the capital, and about a mile from the heart of the UW campus, this home was fantastic with a beautiful view of Lake Mendota. The best part of the experience was how easy it was to work with Alexander. He was very responsive to every question, he was proactive about giving us information needed for an easy and comfortable stay, and he was extremely thorough in the information needed about checking in and out of the apartment. All in, this was a great experience and I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks Alexander. - Joe S

Alex was incredibly flexible with our group’s varied check-ins and check-outs. Other members of my group met him and his partner and expressed that they were both very friendly and welcoming! It is an older building so the floors squeak a bit, but I have no complaints. We enjoyed Madison and this place was perfect for our stay. The sunroom overlooking the lake was unbelievable!

Valerie has a truly magical yard! It’s a great area to get away for a little R&R. The place comes stocked with everything you would need for your stay. We appreciated having a kitchen to cook our meals. The location is great if you like to hike or kayak. The river is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Valerie was the best host we have had to date! She goes the extra mile to make sure your taken care of.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this cozy, historic house. The place was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully stocked with snacks. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and full of amenities within walking distance, making it a pleasure to explore. From the communication leading up to our stay to the smooth checkout process, everything about this experience was fantastic. I give it my highest recommendation!

Lovely 2 bed 1 bath. Kitchen was nicely equipped and beds were very comfortable. Ben was also easily reachable, prompt with his responses, and very helpful.

There needs to be a level beyond Super Host, like Extra Special Super Host!! Kelly & Scott would definitely qualify!! The Cottage is exactly as it appears on the airbnb site. What you don’t realize is just how comfy, cozy, quiet and peaceful it is. A quick 30 minute highway ride was all it took to connect with family in Madison this holiday weekend. When you live on water, it’s hard to do without the view. Not necessary with the Rock River right in the front yard here. Thanks for the perfect holiday weekend. Cannot wait to come back to The Cottage.

Ashley was super helpful and flexible and the house was exactly as advertised.

We loved our stay at Jenna's cabin! She really has thought of every single detail. Everything was spotless and exactly as described, if not better. We took advantage of the location being close to Horicon Marsh and spent a day there. There is a great restaurant just down the road that does takeout. Our dog loved being able to look out the big windows and watch what was happening on the lake. We'd love to come back in the summer!

Lisa & Dave are amazing hosts and I would definetly recommend staying with them for anyone looking to explore the area!

What a beautiful view from the picture window! This place was charming and had everything you could need to relax. My host was very accommodating and attentive. She brought a basketful of fresh linens to accommodate my change in guests due to schedules and availability of my family and friends. The pizza place that was recommended was fantastic and they delivered. The place is in a great location, close enough to town but out in the country. The sunsets were enjoyed on the deck:) One morning early while lounging on the couch I saw a beautiful yellow autumn dressed tree and under it’s branches a buck, majestic with his antlers under the tree shaking the bottom branches:) Very peaceful. We also enjoyed siting around the smokeless fire pit. Thank you for sharing your home with us!:)

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly as described and very welcoming. We booked it for a peaceful, quiet weekend and it perfectly delivered. Everything was clean, well stocked, and well maintained. Angela was very responsive and her recommendations were super helpful. Definitely check out Ledge Park; it was a highlight of our trip. This was a great rental and we would definitely return.

Our stay was wonderful! The space was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a short getaway. The lake view was beautiful, and the comfy couch made it easy to relax. We especially appreciated the filtered hot and cold water—it was such a thoughtful touch. We only wish the weather had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the water activities, but that just gives us a great reason to come back. We can’t wait to visit again!

This place is a lovely little cottage on the lake - the pics and description make it sound small and cozy, but I found it to be quite comfortably sized. we really enjoyed our time on the lake, and were able to explore Madison and Stoughton easily from the location. Brian was a wonderful communicator and super responsive to any issues. I would highly recommend this place, and would definitely stay here again!
