Cabin holiday rentals in Lake Independence

Where do I start but wow! We are from NC and our goal is to step foot in all 50 states. The home was all you could imagine for a full Minnesota vibe. The gorgeous lake view from the living area was everything. I planned the trip praying for snow as us sousoutherns never see any. We woke up Thanksgiving morning to a magical dusting all around and a frozen lake. The beds where so comfty, tons of extra blankets and pillows. All the supplies needed to make our home away from home splendid. My husband and I even took one evening to enjoy the hot tub while it was 9 degrees outside. This is by far the best AirBnB we have every stayed in and we have stayed in many. This was also the first AirBnB we stayed in that specified "no chores before leaving". That is so thoughtful to me and considering we have a 21 hour drive home it was even more incredible. I promise there will be no regrets choosing this home. Go ahead and book it now before you miss the best opportunity!

Our band loved renting the Granite Lake house for our band retreat! it had the perfect number of bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, spacious living room for playing tunes, and the hot tub was the cherry on top!

Cheryl's place was great for a nice little getaway. Peaceful and serene. Cheryl was an excellent host, very accommodating.

Serene lakeside spot in a very quiet area. Hot tub was amazing for cold evenings, overlooking the lake. Everything was so cozy and easy, I felt like I was at a family house. Granted we rented just one bedroom and lucked out not having to share the shared living space. Cheryl was always very responsive and welcoming. Some easy walking trails nearby too.

We stayed on a weekend that was very cold so did not use any outdoor amenities. We were in the area for a wedding so used Katie’s place as our home base for the festivities. It was very clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our getaway at this cabin! Beautiful location, private, homey, and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The sauna really tops off the experience. Kid friendly, responsive hosts, clear and helpful instructions. Thanks for the great stay!

Lots of space for relaxing and close to all the sites and plans we had for our family trip. Quiet area and lovely lake view down the road.

We needed a place to stay for a few weeks while we closed down a business. This was a great location and place to unwind after long, hard work days. We needed to extend the stay a couple of times as it was taking longer than we expected to finish up at our business. Mitch was great to work with. We enjoyed ice fishing and ice skating on the lake and celebrated Christmas while we were there. They even had the house decorated with a Christmas tree when we arrived. Mitch said the cabin was newly remodeled and we agreed that it very nice. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for either a weekend or a multi-week stay.

This was a great little cabin that was easily a five star rating. My 9 year old and I did a last minute booking for an ice fishing trip, and I'm excited that this place was available. While the fish didn't bite for us, we had fun with the easy walk out to all of the icehouses on the lake. The location on the bay enabled us to come on and off the lake for breaks very easily. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The linens and comforters on the bed were very luxurious and comfortable. The best surprise for me was how nice the projector was for snuggling up for a movie. It was really cool to have a 120" screen for our very own movie theater experience.

The cutest cabin on the lake! Very clean and Timothy gave excellent instructions before we needed them so we didnt even have to reach out to him for anything. It was so incredibly peaceful and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for! We will definitely be back!

This place was a lovely retreat from regular life. The house was comfortable and pleasantly decorated, and the setting was beautiful. Sitting on the dock watching the sun rise over the lake with a cup of coffee got my days off to a great start. There were several excellent options for private work space, and a TV in every bedroom (with a bonus TV in the main living space). The kitchen was comfortable, and the recreational equipment was all in good working order. It was chilly while we were there in early October, but we were able to use the provided kayaks and enjoyed ourselves on a sunny afternoon. 10 of 10, would recommend and stay again!

My fiancé and I had a fantastic visit to the cottage with our dog, Easy! Although it was winter and we couldn't enjoy all of the lake activities, we still had such a lovely time watching the swans in the lake, enjoying the views of the sunrises and sunsets on the water, and cozying up by the fireplace! We hosted my family for a Thanksgiving meal and were amazed at how well equipped the kitchen was! Also such a bonus that the listing is kid-friendly for hosting my siblings children who really enjoyed the books, toys, and games available! We would absolutely recommend this place and hope to visit again soon!

Beautiful little cottage, perfect for our family of three! Great fishing and less than an hour from the Twin Cities. The cabin was clean and the host was very responsive. Highly recommend!

We loved this cottage and being close to the peaceful lake. It was so well made and great design. Every space was comfortable and well thought out. Comfy beds. Beautiful views of the lake out all the windows and lovely sunsets. We grabbed meats from the butcher in town and grilled and also ate in town one evening. This one's a winner!

Really amazing stay at a rustic and sweet spot on a lake. Sun room is out of this world, it’s on an amazing lot on the lake, and between sauna, paddle boards, fire pit, and just taking it all in we had an amazing time. 10/10, Great Lake get away, hosts are doing great.

We loved staying at Chris’s place. We came in to town to see family and enjoy the snow. Sadly the weather didn’t cooperate and we only saw a small amount of snow the evening we arrived. But what can ya do?! Chris was incredibly responsive and attentive, even checking in with us the next morning as we had let him know we’d be arriving late on our check in day. The house was adorable and comfortable, we look forward to renting in the future when we come up to see family.

We had a great girlfriends weekend. This home is comfortable with a cozy cabin feel, just like the pictures. The kitchen had everything we could have needed and the beds were quite comfortable. Kammi was a great host. We all really enjoyed our stay!

Had an excellent time a the house. Everything was great! Will definitely be back this winter to do some ice fishing!

Our family of 4 loved staying a long weekend at this cabin - Michael, with team cabin, is a very gracious and thoughtful host! We mostly enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake and the natural surroundings from the large bay window and the deck. The kayaks were a big bonus, we all took turns exploring the lake. Watching the turtles, great blue herons, king fishers, ospreys and other birds by the water was awesome, and we spotted a black squirrel too! We went swimming a couple of times even if the lake can be a bit weedy. Cooking and grilling was easy with the help of the nicely stocked kitchen. Our last evening we got to witness a mesmerizing storm over the lake from the indoor coziness - so cool!
